Baghdad (AIN) –The Iraqiya Alliance headed by Ayad Allawi announced that the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, ordered the security forces tasked to protect Allawi’s house and offices to immediately withdraw.

A statement by the IS on the background of assassinating the candidate of the IS in Baghdad, Salah al-Ubaidi, received by AIN cited “Assassinating Ubaidi is not by chance where Maliki ordered the security forces protecting Allawi’s house and offices to immediately withdraw without any delay in spite of his awareness of the terrorist plans to target Allawi by some neighboring countries.”

“The assassination attempt was publicly done in front of the security forces that allowed the assassinators to escape,” the statement added.

The IS held “Maliki the responsibility of the complete protection to the citizens,” suggesting to Maliki to “Resign after failing in providing the services and sustaining security.”

It is worth mentioning that Ubaidi was assassinating in al-Saydiya area in Baghdad on Sunday. /End/

I seem to remember this same / similar article last year too......

Except last year maliki's forces were trying to assassinate him.  There ain't no way if I were Allawi I would allow maliki to provide my   security.  He's the one paying them to kill Allawi.  This is a joke.   Next maliki will want to arrest Allawi for terrorism.  That's how he rolls.
