Doctor Smith Posted September 20, 2012 Report Share Posted September 20, 2012 ERBIL, Sept.19 (AKnews)- Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is expected to arrive in Suli today to visit Iraq's President Jalal Talabani, semi-official Sabah newspaper reported today. The paper quoted Maliki's media adviser, Ali al-Mousawi saying Maliki's visit is for welcoming the president and congratulating him on the successful surgery he had in Germany. After three months of stay in Germany for the surgery on his left knee the president returned home this week. Mousawi added the officials will also discuss the political situation of the country. Yesterday Azad Jundiyani, the politburo spokesperson for Talabani's Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said Maliki and Ammar al-Hakim, the leader of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq (SICI) will meet with Talabani soon.
