Oil: We are working to diversify our oil exports between Asian and European markets st.

Ministry announced that oil on Sunday, it was in negotiations with South Korea, Japan and reached the final stages of selling its oil, with plans to increase exports to 2.6 million barrels a day this year. The spokesman Iraqi oil marketing company «SOMO» Hamid Al-Kaabi said that «Iraq already started to conduct talks with South Korea and Japan to fall within the markets in which Iraq exports oil to it ».

He added that «Iraq is working to diversify its oil exports between Asian and European markets and the U.S. in order to give its exports an economic power is not affected by the political events occurring in the countries that issued the Iraqi crude oil». He pointed out that «the talks with South Korea, Japan and reached the final stages and this depends on the amount of surplus production in the future and the real extent of their need for oil ».
