Thanks folks, I keep seeing new things all the time that constantly surprise me over here, even with all the negative activity from the citizens that can't leave well enough alone and let their own country prosper and grow by trying to destroy accomplishments out of their own pride or self absorbed religious beliefs, there are those that are working very hard in this country to bring it back to country of status and wealth. I've seen wheat fields out in the middle of the desert, this country could survive on it's agriculture alone....even without the oil.

These items were all pulled from the Ameritrade Website under the Research & Ideas/Markets/News, Some google stuff. Platts Survey: OPEC Pumps 29.25 Million Barrels Per Day in January 2:17p ET February 10, 2010 (PR NewsWire) Platts - Crude oil production from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) continued its upward march in January with overall volumes rising by 150,000 barrels per day (b/d) to 29.25 million from 29.1 million b/d in December, according to a Platts survey of OPEC and oil industry officials and analysts just released. Production from the 11 members bound by quotas (OPEC-11) also rose by 150,000 b/d, to 26.76 million b/d in January from 26.61 million b/d the previous month, leaving the OPEC-11 overproducing their 24.845 million b/d target by 1.915 million b/d, the survey showed. Algeria, Angola, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates showed increases ranging from 10,000 b/d and 80,000 b/d. Venezuelan production dipped by 10,000 b/d to 2.21 million b/d. Volumes from Iraq, which does not participate in OPEC's quota system, were largely unchanged around 2.49 million b/d. (That would be $5,836,525,000 per month at the current rate of 75.31 for crude) **Current!!!** A POSTING FROM LAST YEAR

You are correct Muhammad, Although they are not paid in Iraqi currency, they can purchase it with their ECC's. US Contractors also have this ability as we are allowed to carry an ECC as well, and yes those ECC accounts are only linked to US banks, and no other. -
LOL That's flippin hilarious!!! )

I can confirm Fiery Phoenix's statement, I received an email from a reputable source today which is where he got the information from as I sent it to him. Some bases vary in what is allowed to be loaded onto the ECC for withdrawal (usually $350 per day) but it is possible to purchase $1000 USD worth a month, with a maximum of $9999.00 USD (due to tax issue) can be loaded total onto the card. (We did have an individual buy low denom's today with his ECC as well but did get 10k notes too). This would take several uploads and USD/USD transfers in order to load up. So in order to move this money (IQD) out of country to the states without carrying cash you would have to transfer the funds back to your stateside account using the ECC machine at your local base finance. So: 1. Load the money from your stateside bank account to the cash card $350 a day 2. Purchase Dinars on it (Up to a $1000 dollars worth a month) 3. On the back side (after RV) take the Dinars back to finance and they will convert them back to USD and you can then upload the money from your local ECC machine to the stateside bank account. It would be time consuming, and a drawn out process and take daily trips to finance but it is feasible and a Finance officer from a site has stated this. I will not give out site information as there are too many folks on here who could ruin this for individuals who are in the process of making this system work for them. It's not something I intend on doing, as I will depart with a big grin on my face and see the tax/attorney CPA man when I get home. I've been here since early '06 and am as ready for an RV as anybody. All I gotta say is see you in Dubai when it hits!!! Cheers! I'd also like to say thanks to all of you who have or are serving over here in whatever capacity it may be. Your contributions to your country and countrymen are a part of history, peace and freedom to all. I'll be in the Bahamas with my umbrella'd drink sitting on the beach grilling out the lobster I just speared and making some conch salad, you're more than welcome to join me!

Dinar News Iraqi dinar redenomination and exchangeability

Makes really good sense as well, the quicker they have the larger denominations turned in, the quicker the economy can get back up on it's feet. -
I'm with ya on that Super, my father has a very close family friend that had a picture on his wall (former cop glory wall) which I saw him personally holding a $10,000 dollar bill before they were decomissioned! He cashed it in of course....

For those of you who were skeptical about WMD's in this country...here's a true article, this posted April of '08 in the United States Stars & Stripes, which is a military Newspaper. Saddam was well on his way... http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/07/05/world/main4235028.shtml That among many other things in this country some of which I have seen personally and due to my job had to know what they were, there was plenty of WMD material here, why the Military took the embedded reporters elsewhere and didn't divulge this news to the world is beyond me. The fact that GWB took all the punishment and flak for what is going on over here just solidifies my belief that he did what was right, maybe for the wrong reason initially or so we were led to believe. Take it to heart.... Freedom -
Iraqi News Oil reserves in the usa
Chief V replied to wayneabwa's topic in Iraq & Dinar Related News
They have known about the Bakken Oil Straight for quite some time, it's possible it even stretches all the way up into Saskatchewan, Canada, as their recent discovery up there lines up with the Bakken. They knew about the Bakken in 1995 and the possiblity of it being the largest, and with recent technology it was determined in '08 that it was in fact the largest. (One of the reasons I know this war wasn't about oil). Recent discoveries under the Gulf of Mexico, below old tapped out wells has revealed that there is even more oil down there, MMR (NYSE) of which some of the partners made Bob Hope and Bing Crosby very rich with their investments back in the day, are gearing up to start drilling with the newer technology developed to drill 30,000+ feet through the salt layers and start extracting this oil in the very near future (Davey Jones Well). There are only two companies in the US right and possibly the world capable of drilling that deep, I've already bought stock in one of them, and intend on buying more. Look at the partner company for Lukoil as well....STO (NYSE) very low right now ($23.-+), a Norwegian company that will be drilling in the largest Oil Field in Iraq. As soon as the HCL is lifted....the black gold rush begins!! -
Awesome Karen, thanks for the news that he will try to open a Miami Office, I'd much rather head south than west to cash in, party on the beach! Thanks again, V
