IMO it doesn't signify that an RV is imminent. The currency book that all banks use who trade currency is updated periodically. The last update being in Sept 09 which includes the known IQD, ie 000's. The book prior to this last update did not have the IQD listed. I have looked at both books at two different banks, BoA and Chase and have been told by supervisors and managers that they still cannot trade IQD until it shows up on their computer screens where it will have the buy/sell rate and instructions. I have also been able to view the KWD and the buy/sell rates on the banks computer screens. Basically, BoA buys KWD at about an 8% discount, so I expect something similiar for the IQD. All managers and supervisors have also told me there is no negotiating on the rate. What's on the screen is what they have to charge...
