  1. Antietam, to try and answer your question on your original post on top... I have held dinar since April of 2004. I have heard from people that I trust, i.e. A great long time friend, my brother who is a big banker, friends in this investment and now from my Kurdish friend that the possibility of the Iraqi dinar increasing in value is not only possible, but probable eventually. When and how much? Who knows... I firmly 100% believe this was the original plan. Why I believe it 100% is my personal private stories that I have been given from people real close to me over the years that would never lie to me about things they were privy too. Could these plans have changed after all these years?, Absolutely!! But I know from my Kurdish friend that they had a meeting as recently on Jan 17th discussing that very scenario.. I am in this investment for the long haul unless I have to sell out due to financial reasons because I want to see what comes of it.. Time will tell and we shall see.. ;)

  2. This article is kinda ironic because we non-Iraqis don't really see Iraq as serious in dealing with their own corruption, displaced citizens, rebuilding their infrastructure, getting back on their feet without getting handouts from every possible Country on the planet. Basically we see them not doing anything that would help to move their own Country forward!! So I guess we are kind of even. Hmmm

Realy? This isn't even a rumor. It's pure BS!

Hi need2heal! I'm not sure what you are calling BS. If you are saying my friend is BS, I can assure you he is not. I will even go as far as to say if you or anyone is in the dfw area over any weekend, And would like to meet my friend in person on a weekend night. I would try to make that happen. Then you will know he is real and you  can decide for yourself if you trust him or not.. (I am certainly not a guru, just lucky to have a friend that has some incredible contacts over there). He is not gong to know everything, but he might be able to put a few pieces of the puzzle together for us. It's up to you.

What if his contact has no updates because Iraq is not planning on raising their value of their dinar.......ouch

    that would suk

Texas1, I don't know. I really get the feeling like they don't really care if it RVs or not over there. But if / when it does happen, they will let him know and in turn he will text me right away.. Especially if it takes a while to unfold my friend may can provide clearer insight as to what is going on.. We shall see.

Any updates from your co-worker, GregHi?

No, not really. I have to understand his position and back off a bit because these are his friends and when you talk with friends I am sure you don't really discuss the Governement and dinar very much, so I try to respect that.. Usually when I ask him if he has heard anything his usually reply is No, but I didn't ask about it... However, I explained to Him tonight that this important meeting was taking place Saturday with the WB, IMF and Ban ki moon and asked him if he could ask his friends if they know anything about it. He agreed that he would ask around. If he hears anything, I will relay the Intel to everyone.

  7. Tennessee,

Yes I do have a grasp. Citizens have already been encouraged by the GOI to move on to higher ground. If there is no town by flooding you have no ISIS to root out. The entire area needs an enema my friend. If Mosul Dam fails then there will be the new crisis of rebuilding Iraq's river zones without bombs and bullets. That could be the best scenario...IMO unless you of course have a better option?

I think you are in to something.. I think it is absolutely horrible, but I see the damn being blown by "Isis" (of course it will be the enemy) In order to finally win this ugly war. Too many articles have come out hinting at its vulnerability, etc.. I hope I am wrong because undoubtly the collateral damage will be horrible! JMO..

  8. So I spoke with my friend. This is not direct dinar info but this is what he has heard lately. He has been talking with a Kurdish member of Parliment in Baghdad. I forgot to ask him what her name is, but I can get it if anyone is interested... So there are Kurdish members of Parliment for both Baghdad and Kurdish members of Parliment for Kurdistan... This was kind of news to me.. But anyway, the Kurdish member of parl in Baghdad said they have been in meetings after meetings with Iraq to form an independent Kurdish state.. In other words the Kurds say they will have independence from Iraq one way or another this year!! They are trying to do it in a way that the Kurds and Baghdad will remain friends, but if that can't happen, they will do it regardless is what my friend was told. Barzani is leading this move of independence and said it will be done this year! So there you have it.. Sorry it wasn't dinar related but it is what he has been hearing..
