Thanks for the post again, K98. It seems that Iraqiya is the only group that is consistent in their statements regarding the forming of the new government.

Those who have been claiming the US is reason for the delay of the RV are given some credibility when you see all of the new taxes coming into effect in 2011. By the way, how is taxing people beyond their capacity to pay going to help the economy? This distribution of wealth is a Marxist philosophy - not the philosophy upon which the US was built (read Wealth of Nations by Adam Smith, not the Communist Manifesto).

My ducks and chickens can't come to an agreement as to who should be first in line and who should go next... I guess I'll have to step in and arrange it for them.

Thanks for the post, Woody! It seems there are some reporters who have the big picture (based on this article) - and I don't think I can disagree with him. Iran seems to have gotten a whole lot of influence regarding our investment.

I was really fired up about investing in Iraq seven months ago, but if they can't agree on getting a government together, I don't think they would be very adept at running businesses. I've cooled a bit on that idea.

The National Alliance should have put forth Mahdi as the PM, since the Iraqiya bloc stated they could work with him - but NO - they had to go with Maliki. IMO it was deliberate. Maybe its time to do this for them - quickly - so we can get to the RV?... I'm afraid if this goes too long the upcoming tax structures in the US will leave us without a profit.

LMG - So true. There are those who have been under despotic rule for so long, and have so little education, that to consider them capable of a democratic form of government is too idealistic. I'm just hoping they can get it together long enough for the RV to happen and our groups of investors to be rewarded for their confidence.

Couldn't agree more. The media here seems to do a better job of confirming before reporting . Hopefully there is more likely something to an agreement being imminent, since this time, our media is reporting it along with the Mid East news. GO RV!

I believe most of the banks here in the US would be open on Friday, Oct. 8th, but as stated, would be closed Monday, Oct. 11th. However, that's not to say it wouldn't work. I hope it does!

I read somewhere that someone had a million dinar in 50s. They came to him on pallets as "Keepm" stated. That might cost a bit to ship and I'm pretty certain Dinar Dealers wouldn't sell much having to tack on that cost... I hoping we'll be OK, but keep in mind nothing is certain.
