  1. You are correct, but this gentleman is claiming to have "taken it to the Lord in prayer". He even confesses to documenting his "revelations", or "spiritual urgings"? in a journal. Isn't one being presumptive by asserting God only acts withing certain narrow channels of spirituality (i.e., God doesn't do financial prophecies)? Also, did Mr. Robinson (the "prophet") sound prideful to you? In my opinion he sounded at the least humble. Perhaps. But what does this have to do with God or Mr. Robinson? Have Mr. Robinson's prophecies failed to come to pass? If so, please point them out for us. If not, this point is moot in regards to Mr. Robinson's RV prophecy. At least until June 1st. Really now. What are you getting at? There are prophets, and there are false prophets. There is the spirit of Christ, and there is the spirit of anti-christ. It is our job as believers to counter the effects and efforts of both false prophets and anti-christs. Because we most assuredly cannot prevent them from being. Again, what does this have to do with Mr. Robinson's RV prophecy? If you were presenting the last 2 points after June 1st when his prophecy failed to come to pass, I could see you making the argument against false prophets. But why now? You have no idea if his RV prophecy is of God or not, do you? ??? Bingo! IF what they say does not come true. I don't understand why you're not waiting for the IF part before leveling accusations at what could be an actual prophet of God. Really? Well, let me tell you this: I don't believe what this guy says either, conclusively. I cannot in good conscience allow myself to elevate or relegate his person until June 1st. Then we shall all know if he is indeed a false prophet. My inclination however is to always be careful about denigrating somebody because you may find yourself in the unenviable position of opposing God. Wait, what? Do you believe that all of the "gifts of the Spirit" went away with the apostles? If so, then I understand your point of view but completely and unequivocally disagree. How is that? His associate/friend asked him about something, he took it to the Lord in prayer, and recorded what/how he felt the Lord was leading him. How is that a whole different realm of communication? And of course in this you would be absolutely correct in your preference. But again, I urge all of you (us) to wait and see. We're only talking another week. Take care.
  2. Do you realize that if 2 trillion dinars revalues at 1:1 then you're only talking 2 trillion dollars, not 2 quadrillion? Or were you using satire to accentuate your point? If so I would suggest using "gajillion" instead of quadrillion. I dunno', just trying to figure out how you went from 2 trillion (12 zeroes) to 2 quadrillion (15 zeroes) with a 1:1. Maybe you meant to say if americans had 2 trillion DOLLARS worth of dinar (since dinars are worth about 1/1000th of a dollar right now)? Anyway yeah, if we held 2 trillion DINARS and cashed in at a 1:1 that's only 2 trillion DOLLARS. 1:1 is 1:1. Take care.
  3. Yeah, and the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. I suggest you simply wait a week and a half and see how this pans out before discarding the possibility that God could in fact have led this man to this knowledge. I don't think any of us will be able to prevent him from making further claims once this one either comes to pass or not, but for those who choose to believe in God's word then it's simple: When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him. He is undermining the legitimacy of his entire ministry if this doesn't go down the way he claims. I would just encourage patience. A week and a half and we'll see. Take care.
  4. It may be "a" Forex site, but it's not THE Forex site. As I mentioned, the "forex" part of the website name is simply a sub-domain of tradingcharts.com. If you look at the bottom of the forex.tradingcharts site you can see the copyright referring to the actual site name, tradingcharts.com. Going there you can follow a link to some Q&A where it becomes evident that tradingcharts.com is simply a site that couples corporate advertising with "free" stock market charts, currency (Forex) charts, etc., etc. In other words I wouldn't rely on it for anything official. Forex.com is the official website for the Forex as far as I know. No need to apologize. Just a simple assumption on your part based on the sub-domain having the same name as Forex's main site. Take care.
  5. I don't understand why you would link to a non-forex website and claim something is going on with forex? To my understanding, forex is: www.forex.com When you go there and follow some links to their currency pairs, the IQD isn't even listed yet. What you're linking to is some third party website, www.tradingcharts.com, with a sub-domain 'forex' (i.e., www.forex.tradingcharts.com). Take care.
  6. On 4/10/11, Okie was quoted as writing: I AM GOING TODAY AND IN THE FUTURE AVOID DATES AS THEY HAVE NEVER CAME TO PASS. On 4/12/11, Okie was quoted as writing: AS OF TODAY I WILL NO LONGER PLAY IN THE DATE AND RATE SANDPILE WITH CHILDREN. And today he is quoted as writing: It seems that starting tommorow on we may be at the destination we have been looking forward to for many years . .... tommorow on the r/v will occur at any moment as iraq has now ran out of time I can't help but find it really amusing. Someone else posted some more: http://dinarvets.com/forums/index.php?/topic/62049-for-all-you-okie-lovers/ Take care.
  7. Look at the LINK: www.reuters.com/finance/currencies/quote?srcAmt=1.00&srcCurr=USD&destAmt=&destCurr=IQD Notice how destCurr=IQD. You can't "click" on anything at the site to pull this up. I just tried inserting IQD into the link manually and it worked for me. Now I'll add a caveat. I'm using Fire Fox 3.6.16 with NoScript 2.1.0.1. When I clicked on my link just now WITHOUT telling NoScript to allow everything at Reuters.com it didn't work. It tried to show me USD/GBP. Only after I told NoScript to allow everything at the site did it show me the IQD chart. It's almost funny being accused of being a pumper. Again, I just posted this so tomorrow we can see if it changes. And yeah, the last info it shows is still from Friday 4/1, so apparently they don't update it over the weekend. Take care. EDIT: Oh, and the *CONVERTER* part doesn't work. Only the CHART. The Converter part is blank and is set to GBP when I try the link but the Chart shows IQD. Ok wow, you can't edit posts after like 2 minutes or something? /shrug Anyway, sometimes when I try the link I get the single word "False" under the CURRENCIES CHART heading. I hit my Reload button and it works. I just wanted to add that yes, the rate on the chart as of 4/1/11 is still sitting at 1172 IQD per USD. Take care. EDIT: Lol! Or not. I apologize. It wouldn't let me "edit" it so I hit "reply" and then it adds it to my last post....
  8. Know BS, I don't know man. Link's right there in the post. Make sure if you're running something like NoScript that you're enabling Reuters.com or whatever else is needed on their website to show the graph. TQueezy, yeah thanks for that! Other way around helps too. And yeah, I know there's no change yet. It's frozen at 4/1's rate, but I just wanted to post it so we can quickly and easily verify the rumors I've seen down in the Rumors section come Monday. Take care.
  9. I registered just to post this, as I feel pretty strongly about it based on reading I've done the past month or so. Here goes... No offense but IMHO it seems that a lot of you are ignorant of the current eco-financial condition of the United States (assuming most, if not all of you replying in this thread are in the USA) and well, in general the rest of the world for the most part. If/when an RV occurs, and it is sufficiently high enough here is what I plan on doing: 1) thanking God and asking, begging him for wisdom in the proper management of "riches", and last but not least asking him to keep my heart from being set on them 2) giving my 2 wks notice (I've debated just quitting - yee haw! I'm rich! etc., but I'm leaning towards "doing the right thing") 3) buying as large a piece of land in a [relatively] "remote" section of Tennessee, one of the Rocky Mountain states, etc., as possible 4) getting as safe a home built as possible (i.e., earth sheltered, masonry block construction, etc.), with "back to basics" in mind (e.g., hand pump on well, etc.) 5) buying a small supply of long term storage food (e.g., hard wheat, rice, etc.) 6) trying to get my family to move onto the property with me, and if possible repeating #4 and #5 for each of them And of course, pray, pray, pray, and do what I can to help those less fortunate than myself. I have actually done the opposite of some who've posted here, and told a bunch of people. My family, co-workers, even people I've run across. Most of them have never heard of the dinar, and those who have haven't indicated any initiative (or at least haven't admitted to any). I'm really worried about us here in the States. I'm actually finding myself beginning to revert to pre-Y2K paranoia levels. Not that that was a bad thing. Never hurts to prepare for a possible storm. Just my 2 cents. Take care.
