I KNOW and I feel your pain and pray nothing like this will happen but no one really knows. Nothing will surprise me with these people

I for one dont think they will come out at .86 and then lop the zeros. That would not make sense at all but then again this is Iraq. I feel they could come out at say $2 or $3 and then lop or drop the zeros off the old currency. Meaning if you had a million and they rv at $3 then your million turns into 3 million BUT they announce all 3 zero notes ie 10,000, 5,000,1,000 will have their 3 zeros dropped and your 3 million now is worth 3,000. You made almost 3 times your investment minus spread and fees of course. I for one hope and pray they dont do this but let me say this. NO ONE HERE KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN OR WHAT THEY WILL DO. NOR DO THEY KNOW ANYONE WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN. This is all speculation and in my opinion is worth the risk

Richguy...very well put. I can only hope it happens that way versus the way I see it. My play on it is that they revalue the currency say $3 for example. So if you have a 25,000 dinar note then it should be worth $75,000. However since these notes were never meant to be circulated, they can announce they are deleting the zeros off the currency therefore makin your 25,000 dinar note worth $75 or 3 times what you paid for it. Then the new currency has the new rate. I hope I am wrong. Geez do I ever but this possiblity keep rearing its ugly head. Feel free to shoot down this possibility. No one really knows but I want to be wrong
