This could be just my interpretation but that means that 1 new dinar will be equal to 1000 old dinar which will both be equal to .85. So that is still technically not a "RV at .85" it is a re-denomination It means that both 1 new Iraqi dinar currency will be equal to 1,000 old Iraqi dinar currency. So if you have 25,000 old IQD you will have 21.25 USD If you have 25 new IQD you will have 21.25 USD I'm just pointing out what is really being said in the article. I believe in the RV whole heartedly I just don't want people misinterpreting an article

I would double my police force too if I was planning on releasing a new rate. It's gonna be craziness when that happens

My take on this is that they will celebrate because their buying power just increased. It's not as if they had 25K dinars they will have more dinars. It is just that these dinars will have exponentially higher buying power. And I do believe that they will see an immediate impact. If a bread loaf used to cost 5,000 dinars it won't stay at this price post RV/RI. It may drop to 5 dinars instead or less. Think about it. Just my opinion.

Sorry I may be reading your comment wrong. But if there are 14 currencies being introduced and 9 are already on the CBI's website, how did you get 6 new currencies? And I would think they will have to make currencies that are smaller than a dinar. IMO their currency won't change over there it will just go further and they will feel wealthy.

I just bought some from DT today. Worked just fine. But I did notice they are not offering 10K notes. Only 25K and 5K. Is that normal for DT? Aren't they one if not the biggest supplier in the US?

I believe there are articles explaining that there are no longer trillions and trillions out there anymore. I don't have a link but maybe someone does. But I believe that is what everyone is banking on and why it could potentially reach $3+ Correct me if I'm wrong
