Great advice. I remember getting up at 2 am every weekend a few years ago because, "it's going to happen tonight"
I laugh at myself now for doing it but won't fall for that routine again.

I tend to agree with you. I hate to squash freedom of speech but some of these guru's have been wrong so many times that they should be banned. It's quite obvious that they are working a pumper agenda.

Yep, and this "Hope and Change" guy has a "Plan" that will alleviate all our economic problems and put the unemployed back to work. BUT FIRST, he has to go on vacation. Don't worry he will deliver us all from our misery just as soon as he gets back from Martha's Vineyard.
Translation......he has nothing to offer but empty rhetoric.
I like the other plan, give everyone over 50 a million bucks. Works for me.

I love the idea but I'm afraid you will have to elect a different Congress and President to pass that plan. For the last three years we have been trying a different plan that hasn't worked too well. Here is just part of the plan we are trying under the present Congress and President.
1. Borrow (um, steal) 4 Trillion and call it a Stimulus Package to get the economy growing
2. We are in the Hope and Change administration. (I "Hope" they don't steal all my money and the "Change" is that everything is really messed up)
3. Give everything to the people who helped elect our "Hope and Change" President
4. Steal GM from it's shareholders and give it to the Unions
5. Take over the Medical System
6. Let any illegal immigrant come to America and get everything for free.
7. Piss off all our traditional allies and trading partners.
Yes sir we are now under the plan that takes away from those that work hard and pay their taxes and give it all away to the non workers, illegal immigrants, and the ones who want to bring our country down. I like your plan a lot more since I'm over 50.

I'm not reading this as a lop. I still believe they RV somewhere around .15 to .35 and then let it float up over an extended period of time. To me this just makes the most sense for everyone including the Iraq economy. It wouldn't even surprise me to see another RV after 6 mos to 1 year at a much higher rate. If it goes down this way I'm selling a big portion of my stash in the lower RV and reinvest and then hold on the the rest for a higher rate. If they make us turn it all in then so be it. I also think we will be funneled into a number of the bigger banks and be forced to pay their BS fees or spread. The govt. going to be watching this deal real close so they get their share.

We may have a little pull back but I believe we're headed higher. I started adding some to my portfolio when it was in the low 30's. I'm staying in for awhile longer. It makes more sense than gold to me because of it's industrial uses.

This is a possible extraordinary event for us common folk. Expect new tax laws that will be ever bit as
extraordinary. I'm planning on a 50-70% tax rate much like a lottery winner. If you think you're gonna get by with 15% long term capital gain taxes your'e dreaming in my opinion.
