First car was a 1963 British Ford (Anglia) that amazingly held up against teenaged driving in the deserts of Arizona, on road and off-road. It was light enough that the football team at the high school picked it up and carried it to the top of the steps of the auditorium. It even held together as I drove it back down those steps that afternoon!
My second car was my absolute favorite--a 1952 MG-TD. I bought it at a repair place for $250--it was in pieces and I took it home in my father's dump truck. 3 months later I had a beautifully restored, British racing green MG-TD with new chrome and a "Tijuana Tuck & Roll" job on the naugehyde interior. Even though the dual carbs required constant attention, it became a hobby for more than 5 years. Sorry I ever sold it.
