My heart and my family goes out to you and your son, my friend. I truly morn for your family that sacrifices so much, even if you don't agree with why you're fighting! For those of you that can access this program, please watch this! When we think of our soldiers and the Iraqi people, this really hits home! I cried my eyes out viewing this! I didn't think this would affect me in this way. I really want you all to value the opportunity these young men and women afford to us! The series is called Baghdad ER and it's available on HBO. -Thanks for the info! I do realize they haven't been selling Dinar, as of late. However, I just figured if they knew in RV was coming soon, (ie. 6-12 months out), they would have stopped selling a long time ago.

I have a question regarding the motivation of the CBI to continue to sell Dinars. I know the easy answer is, they're making money. However, if their ultimate goal is to remove the large denominations from the money supply, why continue to flood the market with them? It seems to me that the money they make on letting a 25K note leave the country is much less than the costs they will incur in getting that 25K IQD note back into the country. Thoughts?

OK, that makes more sense. So the dollars aren't coming from Iraq's coffers, they're coming from the US. Which will be paid back by Iraq, via oil, at a future date.

Thanks Steve for your time! This has been my nagging question all along....where does the money come from? I read the Economist explaining how a 1:1 revaluation was allegedly planned from the beginning and that made some sense. I have heard no definitive answer to this and it seems to me this should be the underlying question on everyone's brain. Thanks again for checking into this! Regards,

But doesn't Iraq have to have an equal number of US dollars in their reserves to cash-in the investors. Let's say there's, for argument's sake, 5 Trillion IQD outstanding. If the rate came in at $3, wouldn't they have to have 15 Trillion US dollars to cover that? When they only have a yearly economy in the billions, I don't see how that's possible.

Agreed. If you read Steve's multiple pots last night, he got people really hot and bothered about an impeding press release at 3PM Baghdad time regarding this massive intel call he was on. Now I respect Steve because he's diligent about providing us with un-biased Dinar related information. I think he has become, in the DV world, considered a "Guru". This word is absurd to me. There might be a couple of people who MAY have some DECENT inside sources in Iraq but nothing more. Steve went over the line last night, considering his own standards of information revelation, he led a lot of people on to some supposed big announcement at 3PM Iraq time today. In other posts asking Steve, "What happened?", he simply replied, "please refer to Scooter, Phoenix, Viper, etc. for your intel". Kinda weak there Steve, but I still respect your!

Well said Legolas! I don't know why everyone thinks that this GOI seating will automatically trigger an RV/RI. Let them figure this out first! It will, IMO, take at least 30 days or so to let everything settle and shake out. Everyone...CALM THE F DOWN!
