    Economy News - Baghdad
Economist Ali Daadoush estimated the number of visitors who obtained dinars at about 2 million Iranians, pointing out that the total amount exchanged was 200 billion dinars, and this amount was pumped into local markets.

Daadoush said in a statement to Al-Iqtisad News, “The Iranian Central Bank had announced earlier that anyone who wants to go to the Arbaeen pilgrimage can exchange the Iranian toman for the Iraqi dinar at a subsidized price, and the maximum amount is approximately 100 thousand dinars, knowing that every (32) ) Toman = 1 Iraqi dinar,” pointing out that “the Central Bank of Iran informed us of the support for this measure and replaced the toman with a minus price of 7, thus becoming 25 toman = 1 Iraqi dinar.”

He added, "The number of visitors who came to visit Arba'een amounted to about (3) million visitors," noting, "If we estimate the number of those who received dinars at about (2) million Iranians, the total of what was exchanged is 200 billion dinars, and this amount was pumped into the local markets." .

He stated that "pumping such an amount in less than a month means an increase in the general price level on the one hand, and pressure on the cash dollar upon reaching the cash cycle on the other hand, which deepens the rise in the dollar exchange rate in the parallel market."

He pointed out that "an increase in the dinar in circulation leads to a reduction in the issuance of new cash by the Central Bank of Iraq when the process of sterilizing the dollar is carried out by the Ministry of Finance. On the other hand, the pumping of the dinar by the Iranian side means an increase in the number of workers from various professions in the unorganized economy, which constitutes approximately (70%) of the size of the total economy.”

  2. Ouch. I feel like a Timex watch. I took a licking, but kept on ticking. Or maybe I should’ve used crazy glue instead of superglue from the dollar store on my hardhat when I tried duplicating the commercial.

ho ho ho Santa Claus is gonna be a very poor this year. Stocking is going to have a lot of potatoes.

The region and Baghdad form a committee on the approval of oil and gas law Iraqi parliament member Firas Maslamawi said on Sunday that the Baghdad government will form a joint committee with the Kurdistan Regional Government on the approval of the oil and gas law، while waiting for the approval of the law.

Crap, another committee. Another day another committee. Like Sand through an hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

They didn't wipe out the illegal shorts. They are still on the hook. It just divided the float by 10. But they still have to close their billions of illegal shares

We keep saying they have to cover yet. It seems like it goes on and on and they don’t do it. That’s all we can do is hold on. Selling now would be just silly.

So after they did that, what was the purpose of the APE stock? I thought APE was going to be some part of the conversion.

Yes, that’s what I thought. Thought it was going to convert into AMC shares. Waiting.

Yes. It is called a free market. People vote with their wallet, feet and heart.

Exactly. And if the company decides to state their opinion, on which side they are on, then they need to get ready for the other side to disagree and boycott. That’s why when you’re in business you don’t take sides. If you do, you lose money as the people that disagree will not buy your product.

Good point! They’re not allowed to use USD in Iraq. Is it just for people traveling out of the country…?

Ya, right. Do they know something we dont. Like no rv. People with big money have inside information and mostly make moves on solid data. That’s why you should never make decisions from other people’s opinions that are broke. Like mine.

people post stuff, knowing that it’s not true, and they just say passing along this information. This misinformation has caused a lot of grief for a lot of people that have been misguided.. People that post this stuff, Will say it’s their fault and they’ll point fingers and say they didn’t do the proper research. The ones that caused the pain get over easy and the victims take longer to get over it. But yet a lot of other people, think it’s funny, and it is allowed on this site. There are rumors, and then there are lies. Good luck to all.
