My apologies to the group. I did not post this! My GF is none too pleased that I have invested in the Dinar. Admittedly so, I'm on this site WAY too much and she is not happy about it. She posted this reply. I now have to get my Dinar fix at work only. Again, sorry about that!

Well said NORM! Why even contemplate it? People, this will happen when it happens. Put it this way, it is much more likely that this doesn't go our way that it will....at least in the short term. Everyone is so caught up in this get rich quick thing, that it's gotten absurd. Go on with your lives...please! Could it happen the way we all envision? Perhaps....maybe one day. BTW, I listened to the KTF call with Frank which my mother told me to listen to....Ridiculous to say the least! Everyone just move on and hope for the best. Thanks Dinariac! I didn't really look at it that way. I guess you're right, their Dinar is worth what their Dinar is. It's not like you go outside the US to change your money into Eruos and then expect to get more money changing it back. I guess their only hope would be to fly to the US, smuggle their Dinar in their underwear, and live happily ever after here in the States. Thanks!

Thanks for your insight and time to respond! You as well hspotman! I agree with hspotman, I do no live and die by this site. I am a long term investor and fully suspect that it will take time for this to come about. I find it fascinating that people on this site seem to live and die by it. I know it's fun to come and check out what's going on and relish in the rumors, but we have to approach this realistically. I, for one, am hopeful but realistically, I believe it a long shot in the short term. I'm only 37 and view this as a ten year investment. If it comes to fruition more quickly, then great! Thanks again for your time and education!

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't sit well for me. Now I know the average Iraqi citizen may not have the $600 to shell out for the $1M Dinar, but really? I would have to imagine that the average citizen could come up $100K Dinar. And overnight they're worth $300K US? (assuming a 3:1 RV) Wow, I guess I just don't get it. Unless the average Iraqi citizen holds next to nothing in Dinar?

I'm sure this has been discussed at length. I'm new to the boards and have been trying to research this before posting. Haven't been able to find my answer using the "search" function. Question is this. Am I to assume that since I hold these high denomination Dinar, Iraqi citizens hold them as well. If and when this revalues, would it be safe to say that all Iraqi citizens holding an amount equivalent to mine (750K), are they to be wealthy as well? It seems as though all Iraqi people holding their own currency would be in the same boat as we are. I don't quite get how that works. Overnight, Iraqi people become wealthy? Again, don't bash, I'm sure it's a question been posed time and time again....Thanks!

I check this site roughly once a month. Do all yourselves a favor and put it out of your mind. Stash your Dinar in your closet and forget about it. Move on with your lives people! This constant back and forth is fun for a while, but it begins to seep into your subconsciousness and all you think about is checking the news in the morning because it's Iraq's end of business day. I know it's exciting to dream about it, however, I truly believe this does more harm than good. My 2 cents...

I couldn't have said it better myself! At the point where most Iraqi families can take their family out to a nice dinner, the whole Sunni-Shite issue doesn't seem so important any more...
