If you give it away before the value goes up then there should be no problems. Just fill out a receipt stating todays date and give that along with your gift. As long as it revalues this year I don't think there should be a double tax. Spread the wealth....and always check with an advisor first.

I guess this is the explaination....The Central Bank of Iraq has announced their plans to redenominate the Iraqi Dinar to ease cash transactions. By the end of 2010, they intend to drop three zeros from the nominal value of bank notes. It should be noted that the actual value of the dinar will remain unchanged. That means that 1,000 IQD (pre-redenomination) and 1 dinar (post-redenomination) will both be worth the same amount in US Dollars. As stated by the Central Bank of Iraq, their mandate is to "ensure domestic price stability and foster a stable competitive market based financial system." Tuesday of this week I decided to go purchase some dinar from a bank rather than online ordering. I called 5/3 to get a price and straight out the lady dealing with currencey said " we do not have the Iraqi dinar". I was shocked as other people seemed to be purchasing it. My next call was Chase Bank. Gentleman said " we carried it up until about 5 months ago". Again I was in disbelief as other say they have purchased it. I would like to locate a bank but have so far struck out...

For certain it is a day that ends with U ....... being very happy!
