  5. I've been a member of this site for some time now, I recently took about a 6-9 month break from this site. I got tired of seeing all the jibrish going on in this site and people turning nothing into something. In no way am I doubting the Dinar will RV, I know it will but not anytime soon. People you should take a break from this site as well. It felt really good not coming home everynight glued to this site reading a bunch of bs for the most part. Now I just do monthy checkups on this and it doesn't look like anything has changed
  6. I sent a email to my bank USAA to ask them if they sell or would have any part in the Iraqi Dinar, here is their response- Dear Mr. Peters, Thank you for your e-mail regarding the Iraqi Dinar. It is great you want to invest for the future, and I think it is wise of you to gather information and explore your options. Although I do not know enough about your overall financial picture to make specific buy/sell recommendations for the Dinar, I am happy to offer some general information and guidance. In answer to your questions, USAA does not sell the Iraqi Dinar nor do we provide access to exchanging from U.S. Dollars to Iraqi Dinar or vice-versa. Investing in Iraqi Dinar is risky, trading currency in general is a risky endeavor. A few of the risks that are involved with this investment include political risk, liquidity, and pricing. As far as the political risk are concerned, there is no certainty for the future of the Iraqi government. The local currency could be changed to something besides the Dinar which would make your current investment worth nothing. There are no guarantees that the Dinar will be sustained as the currency for the future, therefore your entire investment is strictly speculative. As far as pricing is concerned, the Dinar exchange rates vary widely. So, going back to the liquidity, if you were able to find a buyer or exchange your Dinar, you are subject to the going rates. These rates are all different and it seems as though everyone has his own price. In summary, it is strictly speculative as to how this investment will evolve and whether or not is a good investment long term. Before you make the decision to purchase Dinars, you want to make sure that you have developed a solid, well diversified portfolio that could afford to take a loss if the Iraqi Dinar never came to fruition. The amount that you contribute should only be the amount that you can afford after meeting all your existing financial goals and investment objections. If you were to make a profit, I would recommend speaking with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to see what type of tax implications you may be assessed with. Finally, there is no certainty as to whether or not the Iraqi Dinar will be traded internationally allowing you to buy or sell in World Banks.
