Palestinian consulate to be officially opened in Erbil soon

Erbil, Oct. 0 (AKnews) – The Palestinian authority is planning to officially open its consulate in Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s semi-autonomous region, soon, it was disclosed today.

The announcement came in a meeting between the Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Kamal Kirkuki and will-be Palestinian consul to Kurdistan Nadhmi Hazzuri on Thursday, a statement by the parliament said.

The two officials discussed bilateral relations between Kurdistan Region and the Palestinian.

“Palestine is interested in building the best relations with the Kurdistan Region. The Kurdish and Palestinian people have long histories of struggle for their legitimate rights” the Palestinian consul was quoted as saying by the statement.
