Sara Johnson Posted March 29, 2011 Report Share Posted March 29, 2011 Kurdistan parliament holds regular session, opposition absence 3/29/2011 3:21 PM ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: The Parliament of Kurdistan region, held on Tuesday, a regular session on Tuesday, while the opposition boycotted it. "The parliament held a meeting today with the presence of 59 lawmakers, who discussed the first reading of three draft laws; the 2011 Kurdistan region budget, the public service council in the region and the patient's rights bill," the media advisor of the parliament, Tareq Jouhar, told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. "The opposition's boycott did not affect the quorum," he added. For his part, MP from the al-Taaghier List, Adnan Othman, said that "we have several notes on the budget; the payments mechanism and the investment projects in the province."
