Iowa National Guard

I was on my way to work this morning when I heard on the radio that the Iowa National Guard is deploying to Iraqi . They are having a send off ceremony next Monday,they will be sent to Mt. Hood for a couple of weeks before they are sent to Iraq.When i hear new pertaining to Iraq my ears perk up.

The reason I find this news interesting is the The Iowa National Guard duties are primarily flying Chinook Helicopters. Maybe they will be used to transport large number of currency around Iraq when they finally RV . Just thought I would pass along.

They will fly soldiers and contractors around, just like they do now. Probably just replacing a unit that is slated to leave soon.

yep...nothing out of the ordinary.....just like we thought those other deployments were to guard banks for the RV......just normal operations.....

Thanks for your responses.It makes sense what you say, however in lou of where we are with all the exciting news coming out of Iraq, it is nice to dream a little. Wishful thinking once in awhile never hurts anybody!
