Launch of the «Made in Iraq» exhibition Baghdad Exhibition money and business Economy News Baghdad The Ministry of Industry and Minerals on Sunday presented more than 300 local brands in its fourth edition, "Made in Iraq", which will last for five days and will be attended by 34 departments and agencies of the ministry. "The exhibition (made in Iraq) in its fourth edition, which will be hosted by the Baghdad International Fair from Sunday to five days, will be presented," the official spokesman of the ministry, Abdul Wahid al-Shammari, told a press conference carried by Al-Sabah newspaper. More than 300 different items and brands bearing the slogan "Made in Iraq". He pointed out that the aim of the exhibition is to share the ministry's role in boosting the country's gross national product by activating companies and factories for the public and private sectors, in addition to creating a new space for communication with visitors, especially public and private sector beneficiaries. Most of the companies in the ministry have obtained the International Certificate of Accreditation (ISO). " Shammari pointed out that "the other objectives of the exhibition include doubling the goods and products that carry local brands to include protection, that is, imposing high customs duties on imported counterparts after submitting a request for the possibility of the local producer to achieve self-sufficiency and fill the market need," pointing out that "the ministry obtained a resolution Protecting 84 different brands since 2015 ". He pointed out that "the exhibition seeks to make a qualitative leap in the local industry through modern marketing plans and convince the consumer of the advantages of local brands that are characterized by quality and efficiency after taking a series of measures to stimulate the citizen through the payment system by the Central Bank guarantee, as well as the annual guarantees for some brands, After-sale services. " A spokesman for the Ministry of Industry that "the most prominent brands that will be presented today, is the production of plants and factories and companies of the ministry and include: cars and hydraulic and electrical industries specialized in renewable energy, textile and leather and a number of other industries." He pointed out that "the ministry represented by the Directorate of Industrial Development follows and supervises 4500 projects spread in the governorates, classified as small, medium and large, in coordination with the Federation of Industries and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce to support and stimulate the local product."
