She indicated that "the Iraqi government has taken steps in the budget that allow for an increase in private sector investments," noting that "Iraq has made efforts to secure its borders with Iran, and we welcome the continued efforts to activate bilateral committees between Iraq and Turkey. " Regarding Khor Abdullah, the UN envoy said, “The Iraqi government has made clear beyond doubt its commitment to the principles of international law and its respect for bilateral agreements and United Nations resolutions,” stressing that “Iraq is committed to its positive relations with its neighbors. ” Plasschaert noted, "The Iraqi government has placed achieving water security as one of its top priorities ."
