This is a major milestone but the government remains incomplete as they rejected the nomination of the Education Minister left vacant by a resignation. Its reported the remaining minister will be voted on in the "coming days". 5-15-2019 *** Dinar Newsflash *** Major media is reporting "The U.S. State Department has ordered non-emergency employees to leave Iraq amid Iran tensions." Things appear to be escalating quickly in the Middle East. The U.S. has sent an aircraft carrier and bomber planes to the region. Iran is suspected of attacking tankers and other "assets". The U.S. has requested Iraq remove Iranian backed militias from within Iraq...as of yet Iraq has not done so. So we all know what that means. We need to settle down, relax... This is going to be yet another end of year January 2020. But my CBI contact was correct. They did pay out and open the budget this week. We are not moving into the fourth month without opening the 2019 budget. Conversation with my CBI contact on Monday: We were told the reinstatement rate is within the new budget and when it is opened they plan to pay out on the new rate. This why the hold up. Another cause of the holdup was a large sting operation on counterfeit currency coming from Iran. Billions of dollars worth of notes were confiscated. From my CBI contact they did run all the payroll files but they reflected the wrong rate under the program rate….oops!. They had to re-run the file and now it is based on the new rate. I was told the rate but also asked not to reveal it. I was told they will definitely pay the Kurds this week. We can expect to see articles news on this and the reinstatement may happen VERY soon afterward...(post 3 of 3)... 4-4-2019 Newshound Guru MilitiaMan Article: "Association of Iraqi private banks holds a preparatory meeting for the day of financial inclusion" Financial Inclusion is a hot topic for not only the IMF but the Bank of International Settlements and the World Bank. Think about it why are they working so close with Private Banks? Because, imo those that have a lot of wealth or will have a lot in the short term will use them... They will bring in their wealth to the banks...to exchange it into the new products. Won't Private Banks need the new small category notes to facilitate their new beginning into a market economy? The wealthy own businesses and will need new product for daily transactions. ...They will also need the ability for the markets to do Foreign wire transfers for those that do international trade.

No, we don't have an HCL...and no, there has been no RV announcement. But, boy howdy, talk about tracking! Iraq, the CBI, President Trump, and the Easter Bunny all have something in common: NONE of them are going to give us a specific "heads up" when Iraq is about to pull the trigger on a ReValuation of the Iraqi Dinar. Our job here is to be informed, engaged, and prepared. OIL is over my forecasted/predicted/anticipated mark of $60...(post 1 of 2)... 4-3-2019 Newshound Guru Adam Montana ...the benchmark price I chose is WTI [West Texas Intermediate], which is not necessarily "Iraqi Oil"...WTI is a commonly used price that can be used to reasonably gauge activity across various markets. Since actual daily Iraqi production and sales are not readily available, it makes sense to track another index or marker that has a more reliable report available. As of this writing, oil (WTI) has surpassed $60 and is on a steady pace (slow and steady wins the race!) upwards. This isn't the only thing that matters, of course. The ReValuation (RV) of the Iraqi Dinar isn't hinged on any one item by any means! It is a culmination of many moving parts, and OIL is only one of them... but OIL is a big piece, and it's performing exactly as we we want...(post 2 of 2)... ...... ......

Time Will Tell...if it even matters? A World Bank representative was interviewed and stated that after the cabinet completion, the Iraqi economy will experience a remarkable recovery. That announcement in Monday's mosque session indicated something very noticeable taking place by Tuesday evening...so, wait we shall! 4-2-2019 Newshound Guru larrykn the IMF pushing them is good but we need to look at where they are at and can they rv at this time, that is the question...corruption, security, investment, are those things ready? 4-1-2019 Newshound/Intel Guru Mnt Goat A scientific symposium (seminar) was held entitled “delete zeros from the Iraqi dinar” This seminar was divided into three sessions: The first session: the concept of deleting zeros from the dinar. The second session: the expected results of the deletion of three zeroes from the Iraqi dinar. The third session: The experiences of some countries in the process of deleting zeros. Wow! Wow! Wow! Does this not tell you something? They just held this three-prong seminar on the project to delete the zeros. WOW..! .........

Finally, some more breaking news in the right direction for Iraq... 1. Quote... "The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is therefore demanding Iraq to free the exchange rate!" This issue is now becoming imperative since Iraq is having trouble trading with its neighbors... without a real rate. ...The IMF is now aggressively pushing the CBI to reinstate the IQD... 2. Quote... “Abadi revealed his decision in May 2018 to arrest former Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki” ...This DOES NOT say Maliki is already arrested. It is only telling us an intent to arrest him. Abadi has no official capacity to arrest Maliki. Are these both issues exactly what we have all been praying for...?

So I do not think the CBI will drag their feet to meet move from Article XIV to VIII much longer when that is the intent in the plan. ..... MAYBESOON..!

Remember, if the CBI is going to do this event it will be in conjunction with investment capital coming to Iraq. The more capital the greater the inflationary pressure meaning the faster it could rise. The 2012 IMF Article IV Consultation with Iraq descibed the process and event as the Balassa-Samuelson effect.

We are not waiting for 2021. Proof of this was the attempt by Dr Shabibi to reinstate back in 2012-2013. So relax..! 2-10-2019 Newshound Guru Kaperoni ...the CBI banking conference (which was scheduled for last fall) and rescheduled for Feb 10/11 has in fact been postponed again to "summer 2019". Some have asked my opinion on this banking event and all I can say is the fact they keep postponing it must be a telling sign that they do not want to hold this event until all their ducks are in place. After all, they advertise "Iraq is open for business" and currently that is not the case. More work still needs to be done...ie: currency reform, laws passed, etc...
