  1. I think positively because i am alive, i think positively because i am alive and because i am alive, nothing and nobody in the world could make me stop thinking, nothing and nobody in the world will be able to stop, stop, stop this wave that goes, this wave that comes and goes, this wave that goes, this wave that comes and goes this wave that goes, this wave that comes and goes this wave that goes, this wave that comes and goes. I think positively, but that doesn't mean i don't see, I think positively about what i believe, I don't believe in uniforms, and less in sacred clothes, that more than once were ready to bless massacres, I don't believe in the fraternal hugs that are confused with chains. I just think that between bad and good, good is stronger. I think positively because i am alive, because i am alive i think positively because i am alive and because i am alive nothing and nobody in the world will be able to stop me from thinking, nothing and nobody in the world will be able to stop, stop this wave that goes, that comes and goes, this wave that goes, this wave that comes and goes. Exiting the subway, where everthing seems like it should be looked at, inside things there's an unknown reality that asks only for a way to come out and see the stars and live the experiences on my own skin, on my own skin. I think in this world there's only one big church that begins with Che Guevara and ends with Mother Teresa, passing from Malcom X through Gandhi and Saint Patrignano ( biggest drug-addict rehab in Italy) , and arriving to a priest in periphery that goes ahead/on regardless the Vatican. I think positively because i am alive, because i am alive i think positively because i am alive and because i am alive nothing and nobody in the world will be able to stop me from thinking, nothing and nobody in the world will be able to stop, stop this wave that goes, that comes and goes, this wave that goes, this wave that comes and goes: history, maths, Italian, geometry, music...fantasy.
  2. Italian Band ( from Napoli/Naples, Campania Region) specialized in performing very old music and songs of the Naples tradition dating back to 1600 / 1700/ 1800 / 1900 using old instruments The Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare was formed in 1970 with the aim of promoting the traditions of the people of Campania (the Southern Italian region of which Naples is the capital). The extraordinary success encountered at the Spoleto Festival in 1972 and 1974 marks their launch onto the international stage. Since then the NCCP frequently participated in all the most important festivals both within and outside Europe. The group has alternated its musical activities with theatre productions, promoting and participating in several shows. umb's note: Saw them in concert like 35 years ago.......Very special https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuova_Compagnia_di_Canto_Popolare

  4. Here where the sea shines and the wind is strong on an old terrace infront of the Gulf of Sorrento a man hugs a girl after he has cried Afterwards he clears his voice and begins again to sing I care too much for u(Te voglio bene assaje) but, u know, a great deal at his point it has become a chain(e' una catena ormai) that melts the blood in the * veins u know He saw the lights in the middle of the sea he thought of the nights in America** but they where only the lights from the boats*** and the white trace of a propeller He felt the pain of music got up from the piano But when he saw the moon that was coming out from behind a cloud he thought that even death was sweeter He looked into the eyes of the girl those eyes green like the sea then suddenly a tear came out and he believed he was soffocating I care too much for u(Te voglio bene assaje) but, u know, a great deal at his point it has become a chain(e' una catena ormai) that melts the blood in the veins u know Force of the lirica where**** every drama is a false(ogni drama e' un falso) which with a little bit of make-up(che con un po' di trucco) and with the art of mimic u can become someone else but 2 eyes that are watching u(ma due occhi che di guardano) so close and different(eyes of different people)(cosi' vicini e vari) they make you forget the words(ti fan scordare le parole) i get mixed up so everything becomes small even the nights there in America u turn and see your own life(ti volti e vedi la tua vita) like the trace of a propeller but its the life that ends But he didn't think that much the opposite he was feeling already happy and started again to sing I care too much for u(Te voglio bene assaje) but, u know, a great deal at his point it has become a chain(e' una catena ormai) that melts the blood in the veins u know *some words are in naples's dialect **America=USA not the continent ***lampare r boats for fishing in the evening ****lirica=something between theater and opera

  9. He sings / plays 3 diff. parts / characters ( 2 men , 1 woman) in this song It's his fault! It's his fault! Believe me! You weren't there... you weren't there to defend me! And his determination was stronger than my will. And the innocent one... and the innocent one will pay. I know you won't believe... you won't believe me, but it's his fault! It's his fault! I don't care if you are going to drink false tears. I can tell you they're salty, I already drank them, by now. Anyway, everything she says is not real. Her sweetness has been even stronger than my honesty. And now, you're gonna believe her... you're gonna believe her. Poor my fall friend, I know: you're gonna believe her. I don't know... I don't know who I'd believe to. I just know that... I just know that, one of... just one of the three of you is gonna die! She was mine... she isn't anymore. Now, none knows who she belongs to... Go away! Go away! Move! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucio_Battisti

  14. RIP Francesco Di Giacomo (vocalist) 00:00 Canto nomade per un prigioniero politico (Nomad song for a political prisoner) 15:45 Non mi rompete ( Leave me alone...literally "don't break me"...) 20:52 La città sottile ( Subtle city) 28:04 Dopo... niente è più lo stesso ( Afterwards...Nothing is the same anymore) 37:59 Traccia II ( Track II) Francesco Di Giacomo / lead vocals - Marcello Todaro / electric & acoustic guitars - Gianni Nocenzi / electric & acoustic pianos - Vittorio Nocenzi / organ, spinet, synths - Renato D'Angelo / bass, acoustic guitar - Pier Luigi Calderoni / drums, percussion https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banco_del_Mutuo_Soccorso Review by loserboy PROG REVIEWER Now here is a great recording that will please all fans of Italian Prog. Sophisticated yet delicately beautiful tension building prog with a touch of the ol' psycho - bizarre. This is in my opinion BANCO's finest hour with amazing keyboard work. "Non Mi Rompete" is one of my all time favorite progressive rock tracks as it reaches out with a very sweet spirtual element. This is pure classic prog of the highest intelligence which will please all fans of PFM and Le ORME. "Io Sona nato libero" is a complete recording and offers a wide range from the organ drenched materpiece "Canto Nomande Per Un Prigioniero Politico"...to the acoustic guitar Soliloquy "Non Mi Rompete". Once again all the lyrics are in Italian so be warned for those who are linguistic-centric! For the rest this will be an album of choice. What always stands out for me on this album is the amount of classical piano used and how well it mixes witht eh rest of the instruments. Fabulous music.....It is essential! umb's note: Saw them twice......Great Concerts .....Talented musicians....One of their secrets is the 2 keyboards ( Nocenzi Bros.)
  15. The man was paralyzed and would appear on stage in his wheelchair And now what will I do, I do not know what to say it's cold just alike when I was alone I've always written the verses with the pen not Strict work orders . I always hated pigs and pimps And those who stole a salary The fakes making a career With certain services out of hours I will sing my songs along the road And will address life hard-facedly A warrior without a country and without a sword With one foot in the past And the look straight ahead and open in the future. I spent four centuries of life And I made many travels in the deserts Because I wanted to say what I think I wanted to go ahead with open eyes Now I should make songs With the exact dosages of experts Maybe then dress like a fool To look like a moron in concerts. I will sing my songs along the road And will address life hard-facedly A warrior without a country and without a sword With one foot in the past And the look straight ahead and open in the future. I do not know if I was ever poet And I do not care to know I'll fill the glasses with my wine I do not know how it tastes but I invite you to drink it And the mental masturbations I leave them to those who are mature at the right point I want to tell my songs to those Who know how to masturbate for the taste. I will sing my songs to the road And will address life hard-facedly A warrior without a country and without a sword With one foot in the past And the look straight ahead and open in the future. And I do not know if I will have friends to supply me with a chorus Or if I will only have unfamiliar faces I will sing my songs to all of them And at the end of the road I 'll be able to say that I have lived my days
  16. Old expression: Roma Caput Mundi (latin)....Meaning Rome Capital of the world....Indeed a beautiful city A dedication to his hometown ( Sung in Roman dialect which is very similar to proper Italian unlike other Italian dialects) How beautiful you are oh Rome in the evenings when the moon reflects itself inside the big fountain and the couples desert the streets How beautiful you are oh Rome when it rains How great you are oh Rome when it’s dusk and the orange turns red on top of your seven hills and the windows are like numerous eyes that seem to tell you: how beautiful you are! Today it feels like if time had stopped here I see the majesty of the Colosseum I see the sanctity of the big Dome and I am more alive and I am better no, I’ll never leave you Rome, head of this infamous world a carriage drives away two foreigners a second-hand dealer asks you if you’ve got some rags the bedraggled sparrows are nightingales I was born in Rome I discovered you this morning
  17. When I saw you arrive so beautiful as you are it did not seem possible to me that with so many people around you'd notice just me it felt like flying right here in my room like in a dream more inside you I've known you forever and I' ve loved you since no time Pretend you'll never leave me even though it will have to end sooner or later this long love story now it's already late but it's still early if you leave Pretend that it's just for the two of us time will go by but this long love story will not now it's already late but it's still early if you leave it's too late but it's early if you leave

Mind, heart, hands, eyes, arms, mouth, legs, name There is always time to sing, the sky, the water, a body, all Then you can go wherever you want, then you can be as you wish, Then you can be with whomever you want, then you can take it or leave it then you can choose to give. Bread, sound, air voices, friends, stuff, making love There is always time to sing, you, the stars, the smoke, everything.
