King David’s traitorous son, Absalom, is killed, and his coup is overthrown. A “runner,” as they called them back then, needs to take the bitter-sweet news to David: the rebellion is over, but your son is dead. A fast, gifted runner named Ahimaaz wanted to carry the news, but the general chose an unnamed Cushite, and off he went. Ahimaaz, however, was not to be denied: “Please let me run also…” (v. 22). The general finally said okay, and Ahimaaz took off. He was so fast that he eventually passed the Cushite and proudly delivered the message to David that the coup was over. When David then asked about Absalom, Ahimaaz answered with embarrassment that he didn’t know. He hadn’t cared enough to find out about David’s son. The Cushite then arrived and gave David the sad news: your son is dead. Ahimaaz was very fast. He started last but arrived first. This gifted man ran in vain, however - "You will have no reward for going," the general had said (2 Samuel 18:22). Ahimaaz didn’t have the complete message. He didn’t have it because he didn't possess and run with the king's heart. David had not only defeated an enemy, but he had also lost a son. Ahimaaz eventually stepped aside in ignorance, insignificance, and embarrassment, as a nameless individual took center stage and delivered the complete message. Our message will always in some way be deficient if it isn't motivated by the King's heart. I'm speaking, of course, of God our King. The pleasure of the Father is and must remain the ultimate goal of our running. The glory and exaltation of the Son must be our chief aim. His passion and priority of harvesting sons and daughters into the family must become ours. God is willing to share His heart for America and the worldwide harvest with those who desire it. But beware - His is broken. When God touched my heart with His on October 4, 2000, I wasn't ready for what I felt. I thought mine was going to break in two. And I became a man with a cause - ruined for life. Ask for God’s heart, but if you do, get ready to change. Why Are We Running? Why are we running, building, laboring for revival? Is it for personal fulfillment, fame, glory, self-aggrandizement, to make a name for ourselves? Or are we, as the Cushite in this passage, content to remain nameless? Is it for advancement, a position? Is it to display our gifts, our speed? Are we looking to build something big? In Philippians 3:14, Paul said, "I press toward the mark" (KJV). His goal, or “mark” as he called it, was clear. In verse 12 (NASB), he said, "I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus." The Gift Mentality Unfortunately, the charismatic movement, as positive as I know it was, gave us a gift mentality: We ran on the strength of our gifts. The very word "charismatic" means "grace gifts." And this often led to a performance mentality: run to set records, to be first, to be the best, to be the biggest. "Build 'em big and build 'em fast!" became the mindset of many in the church. Overnight sensations were, and in many ways still are, the order of the day. There is nothing biblical about this mindset! Persistent, progressive, hanging-in-there, long-term building should receive more honor than something that springs up quickly. Sadly, it does not. Far more character is needed to build a work or ministry over a long period of time than to enjoy something which happens quickly. One of the basic problems with this philosophy of success, aside from its inherent pride and self-exaltation, is that if any part of our vision (which becomes the goal of running) is born of ambition - rather than God's heart - we are soon running for self, not the King. Zeal that was originally to do something for God often becomes a zeal to remain successful. This change can be so subtle it frequently happens without our even realizing it. The Church in America is inundated with Ahimaazs - people running for their own ambition rather than for God. I spoke yesterday of the need for vision, but vision alone must not be our starting place. Vision, born of God's heart, must be our starting place. The questions we must continually ask ourselves are: How well do I understand and relate to the King's heart in this matter? Is that and that alone my motive for running, for building? Was His heart the birthplace of my vision? The question must NOT be: How fast or gifted am I? Our speed or giftedness does NOT validate our running. Holy Hubert A gentleman used greatly by God in the early days of the charismatic movement, Hubert Lindsay, exemplifies a life lived according to God's heart. Mr. Lindsay was part of that which was eventually called “The Jesus Movement.” This movement was used by God to bring thousands of drug-addicted, sexually perverted, disillusioned, and rebellious young people into the Kingdom of God. Hubert Lindsay eventually became known as “Holy Hubert.” Like King David, who wasn't called by his father to join the “potential king lineup” (see 1 Samuel 16), nothing about Holy Hubert's appearance or personality caused him to stand apart. He wasn’t all that charismatic, but like David, he possessed something more important: God’s heart. I once had the privilege of hearing Mr. Lindsay speak. He told of his calling to minister at the University of California at Berkeley, and spoke of the miracles and salvations. He mixed in some humor, and we all laughed, cheered, and applauded. What impacted me most, however, was a passing comment Holy Hubert made about how his ministry at Berkley had been birthed. "I became so burdened for this generation," he said, "that I would walk the streets of the campus - sometimes all night long - weeping and interceding for those lost kids. I pled with God to give me those young people." God had given this man His heart for a lost generation. The Lord answered Hubert’s cry - because it was His own - and gave him a revival. Church historians agree that the Jesus movement was of extreme significance in the renewal of the '60s and '70s. And when tracing the roots of The Jesus Movement, one invariably ends up at Berkeley with Holy Hubert Lindsay. His burden cost him dearly, however. His broken heart led to broken bones - not to a large salary or a huge congregation. Lindsay and his wife were beaten on numerous occasions, stabbed, mocked, and ridiculed as they preached the gospel on campus. His wife eventually suffered brain damage from this, and Holy Hubert lost his sight due to the beatings. Just as the apostle Paul did, they bore on their bodies the marks of the Lord Jesus (see Galatians 6:17). The Lindsays picture for us the principle of running with the heart of God, allowing that to become the motivation for ministry. This heart releases pure revival, keeping it free from the debris of pride and selfish motivation. The past movement’s weakness in this regard resulted in a generation of Christians who believed being gifted qualified one for ministry. Character and God's heart were replaced by other priorities and motivations, which inevitably led many to build personal kingdoms. A cooperative heart (God's) was superseded by a competitive heart (humankind's). Travailing, agonizing prayer was replaced by the strength of our gifts. Last, and probably most tragically, success was measured, not by how well we knew the Father, but by how well-known we were. We compensated for our ignorance with speed and raced forward out of control. Push came to shove, Ahimaaz passed the Cushite, and the King wept. Now, we are in desperate need of an alignment; our fast-moving, state-of-the-art churches are pulling hard to the right and left. A “presence” revival, built around intimacy with the King - not man’s version of success - will correct this. Pray with me: Father, like an automobile traveling down a well-worn road, the potholes of undealt-with ambition and desire for success can knock us out of alignment. Before we know it, like Ahimaaz, we are running for our own fulfillment, not Yours, speeding down life’s highway in search of self-worth and success. The passion about to be released will correct this. Our hearts will burn for You, not for our own fulfillment and personal kingdoms. Religion will be replaced by relationship, intimacy with You will be our desire and the fuel for our activities. Give us Your heart for lost and hurting people. Give us Your heart for the broken, wounded, and confused. Give us Your heart, even for the rebel. Break our hearts - give us many who will walk the empty streets, weeping for those who are so lost. In the name of Jesus, we pray, amen. 7 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/august-15-2023 August 15, 2023 Epoch-Making Revival One of my favorite verses on revival is Acts 3:19: "Repent therefore and return, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." As is often the case, our English translation doesn't fully convey the Greek content. The phrase "times of refreshing" is loaded with meaning. "Times" is translated from the word kairos, which means "opportune time."(1) Wuest, a very literal translator of the New Testament, uses the following phrases to translate kairos: "epoch-making periods" (see Acts 3:19); "strategic, significant period" (see Acts 12:1); "strategic, epochal time" (see Acts 19:23). Using his words, kairos times are strategic, significant and epoch-making. America must experience an "epoch-making" revival. (2) I looked up the term "epoch-making" to make sure I understood it. It means "significant by virtue of ensuing historical developments.”(3) Epoch means "a period of time characterized by momentous events or changes,"(4) and "a fixed point of time from which succeeding years are numbered."(5) That's what we're after - momentous events and changes. A revival so great it is historical, one from which succeeding years are numbered. We sometimes speak of floods as epoch-making and historical. The year is remembered, like the Johnstown Flood of 1889 or the Big Thompson Canyon (Colorado) Flood of 1976. The size of the flood is measured by how often one of that proportion comes: a 50-year flood or a 100-year flood. We want a flood of the river of God so great that people will speak of it the way they speak of physical floods…a revival of such monumental proportions that it is epoch-making. Historical. BREATHE ON US, O GOD! The word "refreshing" in Acts 3:19 is important. It is translated from the word anapsuxis, from ana and psucho. Strong's Concordance says ana means "repetition, intensity or reversal."(6) Zodhiates agrees, adding the word "increase."(7) Psucho means "to breathe, blow or refresh with cool air."(8) Here are some definitions of the two words ana and psucho combined (anapsucho or anapsuxis) "to draw breath again" "to revive by fresh air"(9) "to cool or refresh with a breath" "to regain strength" "Restoration"(10) In this verse, Peter is saying that if we respond properly to the Holy Spirit, it will create a kairos time for God to breathe on us again; to revive us with a fresh breath; to restore us, giving us new strength. I also like the concept of intensity in ana. God wants to breathe on us again intensely. Peter was apparently thinking back a few days to Pentecost when the breath of God blew again intensely, once more filling humans with the life of God. In Ezekiel 37:1-14, the dry bones represent spiritual death. First, God caused them to come together, reconnecting; then He put skin on them, "but there was no breath in them" (v. 8). The prophet was then told, "Prophesy to the breath . .. say to the breath, ‘Thus says the LORD GOD, Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life’" (v. 9). This is what occurred in Genesis 2:7: God breathed into Adam’s lifeless body and brought His life to it. In Acts 3, Peter thought back through history - Genesis, Ezekiel, Pentecost - and prophesied that it could happen again if the people would obey the Holy Spirit. It did, and has happened since on numerous occasions. God wants to do it yet again! He has another breath - another wind - to blow on our generation and wants to release it with great intensity. BUY THE OPPORTUNITY! We must seize the moment. Twice the New Testament tells us to “redeem the time” (see Ephesians 5:15-17; Colossians 4:5, KJV). "To redeem" is translated from exagorazo, meaning "buy or purchase," and "time" is kairos - buy the opportune, epoch-making time.(11) Indeed, opportunities must be bought; they cost something - time, energy, abilities, money, and even our very lives. If we don't spend what is necessary and “buy” them, opportunities can be lost. “When Apple Computer fell on difficult days, Apple's young chairman, Steven Jobs, traveled from the Silicon Valley to New York City. His purpose was to convince Pepsico's John Sculley to move west and run his struggling company. “As the two men overlooked the Manhattan skyline from Sculley's penthouse office, the Pepsi executive started to decline Jobs's offer. “‘Financially,’ Sculley said, ‘you'd have to give me a million-dollar salary, a million-dollar bonus, and a million-dollar severance.’ “Flabbergasted, Jobs gulped and agreed - if Sculley would move to California. But Sculley would commit only to being a consultant from New York. At that, Jobs issued a challenge to Sculley: ‘Do you want to spend the rest of your life selling sugared water, or do you want to change the world?’ “In his autobiography Odyssey, Sculley admits Jobs's challenge ‘knocked the wind out of me.’ He said he'd become so caught up with his future at Pepsi, his pension, and whether his family could adapt to life in California, that an opportunity to ‘change the world’ nearly passed him by. Instead, he put his life in perspective and went to Apple.”(12) We must not miss our opportunity to change the world! Let’s pay the price and buy it! SEEK VISION FOR THE HARVEST Allow God to birth vision in you, vision that will motivate you to faith and action. Vision is a life-changer, a re-arranger, a cause producer. Its hunger can be insatiable, a motivating force creating energy and energizing creativity. Vision moves us from mere mental assent to physical exertion. It separates the hearer from the doer, the convert from the disciple, mediocrity from excellence. Vision is also what separates a ripe harvest from a reaped harvest (see Matthew 9:37). I remember hearing Wayne Myers, a well-respected missionary from Mexico, speak for three straight nights at the first missions conference I ever attended. I was single at the time, still living at home, 22 years old. After listening to him the first night, I gave a third of my bank account to the missions program of the hosting church. The second night I gave the next third. You guessed it: the last night I gave the rest. If there had been a fourth night, I’d have been walking home - they'd have gotten my car! There was no manipulation; this giant of the faith didn't make me give the money. No one twisted my arm. What happened? Some of the all-consuming vision he had for reaching the world with the gospel was supernaturally imparted to me, and I bought the opportunity. I've given to missions ever since. I remember when vision came to me to reach out to those devastated by pain and suffering. It was February 10, 1976. The country was Guatemala, the village was San Pedro, and the setting was a food line. I was serving soup to hungry women and children who had lost everything the previous week in an earthquake that killed 30,000 people and left one million homeless. I vividly recall ladling out the soup into cans, bottles, jars (whole or broken), and whatever else they could find to hold a little soup. I also remember looking at the last lady in line, a mother holding her two-year-old child - who likely hadn't eaten in days - and telling her there was “no mas” (“no more”). Things got all messed up in my life at that moment! I could no longer look the other way and pretend not to see the needs of suffering humanity. I had looked into hungry eyes ... hopeless eyes ... haunting eyes. And vision was born, plans had to be changed, spending habits altered, priorities rearranged. Things have never been the same since. Let’s ask God to increase vision and passion for a historical, epoch-making revival. Let’s ask for hearts that are willing to seize the moment, and buy the opportunity. Pray with me: Father, we ask You to increase our passion and vision for the epoch-making revival You have planned. Light the flames of passion in the church to such strength that no price will be too great to pay. Awaken hearts to seize the moment, buy the opportune time that You have created. Breathe on the dry bones of the earth and give them life. Save and deliver, redeem and transform. Make this an epochal, historic revival - unlike any other. We believe entire nations can be born-again in a day. Do it, we pray! And we pray again for the precious people of Maui. Our hearts break for them. Please bring hope, comfort, provision, and healing. They are a strong and resilient people - awaken this strength in them now. Orchestrate events to cause many to turn to You in this time. Give great wisdom, administrative excellence, and creativity to leaders. Stir the hearts of many Americans to help by praying, sending money and provisions. Release a spirit of generosity to many people. We ask all of these things through the authority we’ve been given in Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen. She archives the prophetic words we receive, as well as words given to the church in general, which we might want to reference later. Recently, she was led to look at two prophecies given by my brother, Tim Sheets, a few years back. “I believe we are seeing them fulfilled RIGHT NOW,” she said. I remember when Tim released these words on back-to-back Sundays; they are extremely powerful. I’m going to share one today and one tomorrow, to encourage you in your watchman roles for America and other nations. (As always, all militancy and warfare spoken of is spiritual war, not against individuals.) A New Roar “The alarm clock of Heaven is now ringing on the night stand of a sleeping Church; time to rise, time to rise to the occasion, time to get up! “I have lions hidden in My remnant, not wolves. They will now rise to patrol and remove the defeated ones, wolf packs, that have come to scatter My flocks. My lions will be fierce, bold, aggressive and unintimidated. They will not flinch when adversaries advance. They will stand strong,” says the Lord, “and fearless. "A new roar will be heard from My tribe announcing territorial dominion. A roar claiming geographical and spiritual jurisdiction shall now sound from My remnant; a roar establishing that the throne of the territory is occupied and guarded. A roar against hell’s power shall be sounded. A roar of authority in My Name shall come against hell's intrusions. My ‘called out ones,’ My ‘sent ones,’ will now become ‘step forward ones.’ "They will move forward in My power. They will manifest their rights as sons and daughters of God, ruling and reigning with Me, as intended. My heirs are stepping from the shadows of cultural bondage. They shall now display disdain of enemy princes, mights, thrones, dominions, and rulers of darkness. No longer will they compromise in shared rule; no longer settling for cohabitation; no longer accepting shared occupancy with spiritual evil. "Passive appeasement has now been replaced with backbones of steel, lips set on fire with holy ingots, and a shout of the King is in their voice, indeed. Jericho's shout/decree is in their mouth. Determined faith shall now be seen in My faithful ones as they march to remove demon philosophies and doctrines of devils from the land. No shared rule with demonic forces,” says the Lord. "My rule, My rule shall prevail. My words shall prevail. Power to prevail is being poured out. Power to prevail is soaking My remnant. Power to overcome hell's strategies; power to overcome demonic doctrine and a rebel government; power to ‘more than conquer’ demonic tactics is being released. Those who stand with Me shall see hell's fire misfire. "So arise and rule. Rise and roar with My authority. I will fill your enemy's mouth with sand and their hearts with quicksand. They will find themselves stuck in their own mire. Roar with My freedom. Roar with My liberty. Let rejoicing roar out of Zion. March into battle with confident peace.” My Shaking Will Open Ancient Wells of Revival "Great revival fire will now begin to burn through intercession-soaked regions as My awakening begins to roll. The regions will now become activated by My glory. The time of My shaking has come. I am shaking earth; I am shaking the heavens. Walls, strongholds, obstacles, and hell’s defenses are being shaken down, and My remnant is being shaken free. My shaking will open ancient wells of revival. The revival in the womb of My intercessors will now be birthed. "The revivalist mantle is descending upon My righteous evangelists. The fire shut up in their bones will now become words of fiery passion. With My Gospel, I will shake open the capped wells of evangelism. I will shake open the ancient healing wells. Miracles will multiply. My angels are pumping those wells and they are reopening as new wells. I’m creating new roads, new inroads, new mantles, new vision, new harvest. Behold I will do a new thing and you will see it. Now it will spring forth. "Because your cries have come before Me, because you have pursued My Presence," says the Lord, "because your worship has become sweet savor - the Lord of angel armies decrees over His remnant people - you shall now begin ‘reality church.’ No more acting, no more actors, no more pretending. Real church, real disciples, real Christianity, real worship, real power, real glory, real miracles, real healings. It is ordained, I have determined: ‘reality church.’ I am now removing arrows shot into My royal priesthood. Arrows of betrayal, arrows of Jezebel, arrows of Absalom, arrows of deceit and gossip borne by lying spirits, arrows shot by those bound by religious demons. I, Your God, am removing these arrows. You will be free. You will be healed. You will be restored and set on fire with My Presence, for I have said I will make My ministers a flame of fire. It is ordained, I have determined: your place of pain shall now be gain, and where you reign. You will rise and rule with Me. "I am now coming to My remnant. And I am coming as Lord Sabbath-Lord of Angel Armies. Because they have aligned with My purpose, I will now align My hosts to aggressively assist them. There is now coming a convergence of the angel armies and the church’s prayer army into a divine coalition, the coalition of My willing: those who run to the battle, not from it. "My earthly and heavenly armies will now challenge thrones of iniquity, thrones of idolatry, thrones of rebellion, thrones of witchcraft, thrones of humanism and antichrist dominions. Battalions are dispatched and await the decrees of My word through My saints. They will respond and overthrow iniquitous thrones so My saints can rule with Me. "It is now time for My greatest campaign ever on earth. Decree it," says the Lord. "Align your words with Mine and angel forces shall align with you. Align with angel forces in your regions, and I will accelerate an alignment within your nation. Yes, revival is now; the harvest is now; victory is now," says the Lord. “Arise and pursue My cause. Arise and roar. Arise and fight. Arise and shine, for Your light has come, and the glory of your God shines upon you!” This word is incredible. There is SO MUCH in it. Read it through a few times and allow Holy Spirit to direct your heart toward parts of it He especially wants to minister to you. Share it with others. Use it in prayers. Let’s do so in our prayer today. Pray with me: Father, just as You said in this word, the alarm clock of Heaven has sounded, awakening many in the church. Sheep have matured into lions and a roar is being heard throughout the land, a roar from Zion declaring territorial occupation and authority. Your called and sent ones have stepped forward, just as You said they would. Thrones of iniquity are being shaken loose and pulled down. We declare with You that You will prevail. Your words will prevail. And power to prevail is being poured on Your people. We are seeing hell’s fire misfire. Their mouths are filled with sand and their hearts with quicksand. They will find themselves stuck in their own mire. We also declare Your word that wells of revival are opening - ancient wells and new ones. Revivals in the wombs of intercessors will now be birthed, intercession soaked regions will now burn with holy fire. Revivalists are being released. “Reality church”, as You called it, will now be seen - real miracles, real power, real glory, real Christianity! We also declare Your words that angel armies have been released to help us. A greater partnership of earthly and heavenly warriors is emerging to dethrone iniquitous strongholds. Your greatest ever Kingdom campaign of advancement, salvation and deliverance has begun, and will not be stopped! We declare these things in the name of our Commander, Yeshua. Lahaina (and all of Maui) is one of our favorite places on earth. My heart breaks for them: Father, we ask for much grace to be given to the people of Hawaii. The devastation there is truly heartbreaking. Comfort the families that have lost loved ones, and bring hope to those who have lost possessions. Give wisdom and understanding to leaders there, words that will bring peace, ward off bitterness, and produce hope; give them messages that will inspire the hearts of the Hawaiian people to turn to You and overcome in this devastating situation. We ask for this in Yeshua’s name, amen. _________________________________________________________________________ The Necessary Partnership “In this manner, therefore, pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’” (Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV) It is difficult for some people to believe God needs our cooperation, that He works on earth through humans, not independently of them. Their concept of God’s sovereignty simply cannot allow them to believe He would limit Himself in any way to the actions of people. But He has. Regarding the need for prayer, the great E. M. Bounds said: “God shapes the world by prayer. The more praying there is in the world, the better the world will be, the mightier the forces against evil . . . The prayers of God’s saints are the capital stock of heaven by which God carries on His great work upon the earth. God conditions the very life and prosperity of His cause on prayer.”(1) The belief that God does not need our involvement to accomplish His will is a great hindrance to heaven’s cause. I once heard the late great pastor/teacher, Jack Hayford, say, “The quest of Jesus Christ on the earth is greatly crippled by wrong notions of the sovereignty of God.” The Scriptures are filled with examples of God needing the obedience, faith, prayers, decrees, and actions of people in order to accomplish His will (1 Kings 18; Ezekiel 22:30-31; Luke 19:41-44; and others). The Father’s desire and plan from the beginning was to partner with His family to establish His Kingdom principles on earth - as they are in heaven. Jesus restored us to the family and redeemed the plan, giving to the church the keys or authority of His Kingdom (Matthew 16:18-19). He taught us to pray: “Thy Kingdom, come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). Many of you are aware that the Greek verbiage of this verse actually tells us to command these things. We are told to ask and command. We are NOT commanding God, of course, but we ARE commanding for Him - as His representatives, and as He leads. We ask or petition FROM our Father; we command FOR Him in order to release His Kingdom will. We appeal TO heaven; we command FOR heaven. Now, for a short biblical word study. The above phrase, “Thy will be done,” is important. The two words “be done” come from one Greek word: ginomai.(2) This word comes from the Greek words genos(3)/gen(4) and is linked to the concept of creating, reproducing, or birthing. We derive many of our English “gen” words from this Greek word, which can be easily seen in their spellings: generate, gene, genetic, generation, and so on. Again, the concept is creating, procreating, birthing, generating, etc. This meaning or concept is why the words “born” (gennao - John 3:3)(5) and “born again” (anagennao - 1 Peter 1:23)(6) are also formed from this same Greek word, gen. Don’t be overwhelmed by all the Greek. The point is that Christ’s phrase, “be done,” is linked to the concept of birthing or creating. He was saying: “Use My authority and command My will to be done, to become, to be generated, to be birthed/born in the earth, as it is in heaven.” Incredimazing! (Sometimes, one just has to make up a word!) When we declare God’s will and words, they carry His power to perform, create, accomplish, and give birth. Consider these examples: We preach the gospel, declaring God’s words, and He uses them to cause individuals to be born again: “For you have been born again (anagennao) not of seed which is perishable, but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God” (1 Peter 1:23 NASB). We meditate on the “seeds”(7) of God’s Word, which includes saying them, and they produce their fruit in us. (Matthew 13:3-9, 18-23) We issue decrees for God, and the matters are established. (Job 22:28) With Christ’s authority, released through commands, we open and close doors, bind and loose demonic activity. (Isaiah 22:22; Matthew 16:18-19) At times, we are even led by Holy Spirit to command the dead to live, and they come alive! (Acts 9:40) We, the church, ARE the voice of God here on earth! This is why He instructed us to “command the foreword.” We have been doing so, releasing His words which He said are never without power (Luke 1:37, literal translation), and always accomplish what He assigns them to do (Isaiah 55:11). We will continue to do so. Our decree: Let’s decree that Christ’s Kingdom authority “come,” and His “will be done” regarding the following: America’s foreword, live! Cape Henry’s well of covenant, flow to America! Bell of liberty, sound forth Christ’s salvation to all the earth! America, a nation “under God,” you will remain there! Evil in America, be shaken down! [Taken from the Charlie Shamp prophecy in yesterday’s post] Evil uprising in America, be uprooted! Wicked one in the courts, be silenced! God has said, “For what they attempt to do, I will turn around upon them, and they will fall upon their face in disgrace. Where they will attempt to prosecute, I will overturn and throw it out. The scales of justice will tip in your favor, and the bowls of judgment will tip over upon the wicked.” We agree with and declare this. Demonic destruction of America’s roots, we bind you! You will fail! The tamarisk staff of covenant will destroy your efforts. America SHALL be saved! Revival, come to America and the earth! Wind of God, blow! Dry bones, live! I had not seen this when I posted Gina Gholston‘s dream and launched the efforts to paint our states and command the foreword. Here is the prophecy: *************** “An uprising is coming! It has been brewing underneath, but now you will see the uprising as the enemy attempts to remove righteousness completely from the land. “Hear Me this day, righteous remnant in America; you must arise and decree My covenant over your nation. You must arise and declare your birthright, for you were birthed as a nation founded upon Me. Decree and declare your birthright, and fresh breath will enter your weary bones. “I will expose the wicked weeds in your government that refuse to repent and bow to Me. I am separating the wicked from the righteous seed that has been planted in the soil of your nation. My hand will uproot this uprising as its springs forth - if you pray! “You must decree your birthright before my heavenly courts, and I will silence the wicked one in the courts upon the earth, in your land. For what they attempt to do, I will turn it around upon them, and they will fall upon their face in disgrace. Where they will attempt to prosecute, I will overturn and throw it out. Lift up your voice to Me and decree your birthright, America, and I will remove and uproot wickedness and wash the land white as snow. The scales of Justice will tip in your favor, and the bowls of judgment will tip over upon the wicked one. “Watch and pray, for I will bring a great turnaround in a single day. You will hear the sound of the roar at the return of the Lion in the land. The hunter will become the hunted.”(1) *************** Five times this word said to decree our covenant or birthright as a nation. That is exactly what we have been doing as we’ve “commanded the foreword.” It’s wonderful to receive these confirmations! The word warned that our enemy would rise up in a desperate attempt to eradicate righteousness in our land. It then challenged the church to rise up, as well, to stop this through prayer and decrees, which would allow the breath of God to be released to us, removing weariness. The prophecy also said wicked weeds in our government would be exposed and removed, their efforts defeated and disgraced. “Where they will attempt to prosecute, I will overturn and throw out,” the Lord said, and “The scales of Justice will tip in your favor, and the bowls of judgment will tip over upon the wicked one.” How timely is that! And Holy Spirit ended by saying we would see a great turnaround in a single day! In the “command the foreword” dream, decreeing America’s birthright and original purposes not only protected us, but it also released the shaking - God’s judgments - on the enemy. I will be saying more about the coming shaking over the next few weeks – we receive many questions asking what I think it is – but for now, we must remember that the shaking is not to destroy us, but to dismantle evil. Holy Spirit told us multiple times not to fear. If our prayers and decrees for cleansing and restoration are what God is using to produce the shaking, obviously, we should welcome it, not fear it. Will it be uncomfortable? I believe so. But I am more than willing to experience some tumultuous times in order to save our nation, this generation, and the great harvest God has planned. I am also being asked how we accomplish the third bullet in the instructions the Lord gave in the dream: anchoring our states to the anchors and cables angels used to secure the entire nation. I have some thoughts regarding this, but am not yet certain they are from Holy Spirit. Gina, who had the dream, said the same. It may come from someone else, of course; we and others are praying about this, and Holy Spirit will show us at the right time. I believe the direction will be given soon. I want to conclude this post with a couple of wonderful reports from those painting their borders and commanding the foreword in their states. The first is from Sandy Newman and DeeAnn Ward, who lead many of the prayer efforts in Kansas. They and two other ladies from Ark City, Kansas, went to the Oklahoma/Kansas border to fulfill a portion of the assignment. (Many others participated throughout the state.) The team took a plumb bob (also called a plummet or plumbline), to use as a prophetic act, just as the Lord did occasionally in Scripture (Isaiah 28:17; Amos 7:7-8; and elsewhere). Here is an abbreviated version of their report: “Dropping a plumbline is not a ‘doctrine’ of the church but rather a prophetic act signifying alignment with the Lord and His ways. [A plumbline is] used for determining a vertical straight line in construction, to keep the work straight. “A plumbline doesn't change; it remains the same, and all the work must line up with it or risk being crooked. Isaiah 28:17 tells us righteousness is a plumbline. God sets the standards, and He does not change with the whims of culture. His moral law is the plumbline against which we determine right and wrong. “We line up our lives according to God's plumbline - His word - rather than moving it to satisfy man's agenda. In prayer, we have occasionally dropped a plumbline to ‘declare’ to a situation or a place: ‘God’s righteousness is the standard here. We align with Him, His Word, and the direction of Holy Spirit.’ “On our way to the OK/KS border, we stopped at a monument commemorating the Cherokee Strip Land Run. It is dedicated to the people who went into Cherokee land along the border and staked claim to the native's land for themselves. “We repented for what was done on September 16, 1893 - by both sides of the issue. Then, at the border of OK/KS, Sandy dropped the plumbline. The plumb bob began spinning in a counterclockwise direction. As it did, Holy Spirit spoke these words: ‘Because you have repented, I am going back in time; I will redeem the timeline that has held people and lands in bondage - in both of these states - here in the heart of America.’ “The spinning stopped, and the plumb bob began to spin clockwise. Holy Spirit then spoke these words: ‘Because you have repented, I am entering this land's present and future with redemption. Don't worry about a thing. Yes, other actions need to take place, but regardless of what the shaking brings, the future is secure. I am redeeming your timeline all the way back and all the way forward. I know the end from the beginning. I am the Alpha and the Omega.’” Holy Spirit spoke other encouraging words to them and led them in other prayers. I found the report to be so very encouraging. Another fascinating testimony came from Pennsylvania: “I just wanted to share how the Holy Spirit is leading me to ‘paint the states.’ As I was praying about this, the Holy Spirit brought to mind a jigsaw puzzle in the shape of America; each state is a different puzzle piece. I bought one online. Each state is magnetic, so I put the puzzle on my fridge. I pray for a different state daily, and take that piece/state to work with me as a reminder (I’m a nurse’s aide at a retirement home). One of my residents is a 90-year-old prayer warrior, and we pray together for that day’s state. Blessings…” Don’t you just love it!!! Pray with me: Father, at Your instructions, we have been decreeing the power of our covenant with You. Though it appeared to many that we had sold our birthright for a bit of porridge, Your grace and mercy said, “No! That is not the case.” From the bottom of our hearts, we thank You for this mercy we have received through our Savior, Jesus. I personally thank You for the willing army that has arisen in this hour, saying in agreement with You, “No! It is NOT too late!” As it was in Deborah’s day, “The leaders led, the people volunteered. Bless the Lord!” (Judges 5:2 NASB). From the 90-year-old in a retirement home to the kindergartner praying with Nana, thank You for Your willing people. Now, we will see Your mighty arm. You will demonstrate Your great power in our land. Bring it! You have dropped Your plumbline; the standard has been set. We align with You, Your Word, Your Son, and Your glorious Holy Spirit. We align with Your truth, Your plan, Your purposes, Your ways, and Your timing. Uproot the wicked seeds in our land, overturn evil prosecutions, and tip the scales of justice. Leave no doubt as to who is Lord over America and Earth. And lastly, send revival!!!!! We pray all of this in our role as representatives of Christ. From this comes our authority, amen. Our decree: (From Charlie Shamp’s prophecy:) “Yahweh will bring a great turnaround in a single day. We will hear the sound of the roar at the return of the Lion in the land. In this dream, demons were destroying the roots of a huge tree on a hill. The tree represented America. Here is the entire dream; I will read only a portion; since I read all of it yesterday: “I dreamed I was with several prayer leaders, including Dutch Sheets. We were walking through a field with tall grass and noticed a hill ahead of us. This caught our attention because it was the only hill around us. The rest of the land was a level, grassy field. “On top of the hill was a huge, very old, beautiful tree. We were so captivated by this tree that we decided to climb the hill to get closer. The tree was the only thing on the hill, and the canopy was so large that the shade from it covered the entire hill. The ground around the tree was level, and the grass was tall and thick, much like the field we had just left. “We were in awe of this beautiful tree, amazed at the size of the trunk and the massive expanse of its canopy. As we all walked around it, looking up into the branches of the tree, someone tripped over what appeared to be a root protruding out of the ground. Then, all of a sudden, these ‘roots’ appeared everywhere. Where there had once been tall, thick grass, there was none. Now, only the roots that had not been there when we first came to the tree, were lying everywhere on top of the ground. “We were all very puzzled by this, so I walked over and looked more closely at one of the ‘roots.’ I could see that it was moving! This had not been obvious until I looked more closely. I motioned for my assistant, Darlene, to join me and whispered to her, ‘Watch this!’ And we both could clearly see this ‘root’ was moving. “I walked over to Dutch and said, ‘Dutch, these are not roots; these are the backbones of demons. They’re alive, and they are eating the root system of this beautiful tree.’ The demons didn’t realize we could see them, but with their backbones exposed, we could see their movements. “By this time, others had joined us, and I asked, still whispering, ‘What do we do about this?’ “Dutch responded, ‘I know what to do about it!’ “He then walked away for a moment, and came back carrying a perfectly carved wooden staff. “Someone asked, ‘What is that?’ “I said, ‘This is a staff that has been carved from an old tamarisk tree. Tamarisks are evergreens.’ “Dutch nodded his head ‘Yes’; then handed the staff to me, and I walked over to one of the demon’s backbones. I struck it with the evergreen staff, and when I did, the demon vanished. I could actually hear the sound, ‘poof,’ and it was gone. I began walking from ‘root’ to ‘root’, striking them with the tamarisk staff. Then, somehow, all of the other people with me had staffs, also carved from tamarisk evergreens. They, too, were using their staffs to destroy the demons. Together, we destroyed every demon and saved the tree.” End of dream. The tamarisk tree was significant in the life of Abraham. “Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God” (Genesis 21:33; NASB). We have said a good bit about them for the past few days. They are an evergreen tree, and for millennia evergreens have symbolized covenant. I write about this in my book, An Appeal To Heaven.(1) The tamarisk evergreen tree planted by Abraham symbolized his covenant with Yahweh. Many believe, myself included, that the tree placed on the Appeal To Heaven flag represented covenant. It certainly represented covenant - and became a weapon - in the boxing dream I have mentioned recently. With special boxing gloves, one of which had the word “Evergreen” imprinted on it, I knocked out five giants. And in this dream, demons trying to destroy America were defeated with staffs made of tamarisk wood. The dream was clearly telling us that our covenant alliance with God is a “weapon” we must use to save America (the tree). The Tamarisk Tree The tamarisk tree, chosen by Abraham to represent his covenant with God, has several unique and interesting features. Like America in the dream, it is a wonderful shade tree and lives hundreds of years. However, tamarisks are also slow-growing. They grow only an inch per year and take 400 years to reach their full height. As I stated in my book, An Appeal To Heaven, “Because the tree is so slow growing, no one would plant a tamarisk for him or herself; he or she would never personally benefit from it. By planting this slow-growing, long-living, covenantal tree, Abraham was thinking of his descendants, making a powerful declaration to them for generations to come, ‘I am in covenant with Everlasting God, and you will sit under the shade of my everlasting covenant with Him.’”(2) Amazing! Tamarisk trees are known as those which produce the coolest shade in the desert region where Abraham lived. The explanation for this is fascinating. “The tree grows needles rather than leaves. Often the needles excrete salt on their surfaces which gives the needles a white color. Because the tamarisk excretes salt, it is sometimes called a ‘salt cedar.’ At night, moisture increases in the cool air. Water vapor adheres to the salt particles excreted on branches and needles, forming droplets. In the morning, as the sun warms the air, the water droplets evaporate and cool the tree and shade below it.”(3) In the dream, the magnificent tree representing America was also producing wonderful shade. America’s Founders planted an incredible “shade tree” for future generations, saying through their actions - just as Abraham did to the generations to come - “You will sit under the shade of our covenant with God.” They formed a nation under God, a land in covenant with Him, one that could endure. America has been incredibly blessed because of her partnership with Yahweh. Millions of people here and around the world have enjoyed the “shade” of these covenant blessings. We must save the shade tree called America for our children and grandchildren, and for the world. Another interesting fact regarding the tamarisk tree was sent to me by a Give Him 15 listener some time back. I have verified the information and find it fascinating. “An edible white honeylike substance known as manna forms drops on the stem of salt cedars, or tamarisk trees. This sweet material is sold in the form of flakes (flake manna), fragments (common manna), or thick droplets (fat manna).”(4) Isn’t it fascinating that Abraham’s “covenant tree” not only produced shade for his offspring hundreds of years later, but also fed them with a substance called “manna”? And yet, why wouldn’t God lead him to use a “Manna Tree” to symbolize his covenant with the Lord? After all, Abraham’s covenant and offspring produced Christ, heaven’s manna, the Bread of Life. Abraham was told from the very beginning that God’s promised blessings were not only for him and his offspring, but for the entire world: “And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing; and I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you, all the families of the earth will be blessed.” (Genesis 12:2-3 NASB) Sadly, many believers have not understood that the current ideological war in America is for the soul of a nation raised up by God to distribute heaven’s manna, the “Bread of Life.” Our war is truly a spiritual war. America IS called to be “a shining light, a city on a hill.” She IS called to be God’s trumpet, taking and sending the gospel of the Kingdom to the ends of the earth. As America returns to her covenant roots, she will prosper once again. We, the praying church, must facilitate this by using the power of covenant, symbolized by the tamarisk tree staffs in Gina’s dream, to war against the evil forces attempting to destroy America. One of the ways we do this is by declaring the covenantal declarations and writings of our founding leaders. This is why Holy Spirit told us to “command the foreword.” Let’s do so again today, striking the enemy with the tamarisk staff. Pray and decree with me: We decree that: America was raised up by God to be a city on a hill, a beacon of light to all nations. America was called to preach the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations of the earth, and to serve all nations. America was founded by God, under an appeal to heaven, and an appeal to heaven will give us a rebirth! America is one nation, under God. We have put our trust in Him and no other. We have no king but Jesus. The phrases "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God," an appeal to the "Supreme Judge of the world," "the Creator," and "divine Providence” are all in our Declaration of Independence. We decree that, as a part of this legal document that birthed our nation, they give us authority today. We declare into the atmosphere of America that our faith is in this God! Leviticus 25:10 is on the Liberty Bell: "Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof." This verse referencing Christ as the world’s Redeemer, was announced at our birth, through the ringing of the bell, proclaiming our faith and our destiny. We declare its message over America again today: Christ is our Redeemer! Proclaiming His message is our purpose! Yahweh is our Judge, our Lawgiver, and our King (Isaiah 33:22), and that our three branches of government were formed according to heaven’s pattern and under His rule! They will return to this! God’s mercy over America endures forever, and His mercies are new every morning! He who began a good work in us will complete it; He had a plan for our restoration before we even turned against Him! The Lord’s redeeming power is greater than satan’s deceiving lies, and His truth will prevail! One boxing glove was imprinted with “Everlast,” the other with “Evergreen.” In the dream, I stated that in order to knock out giants in this season, we would need to wear these two gloves. I found the dream’s interpretation from the life of Abraham (Genesis 21:33), and the Appeal To Heaven flag. Everlast is one of God’s names; evergreens represent covenant. Abraham planted a tamarisk evergreen tree and called on Everlasting God. There is too much information in the posts to make a short review possible, but if you didn’t see them, you could do so here and here. I believe you’ll find them encouraging. Today, staying with the theme of America’s covenant alliance with Yahweh, I’m going to re-address a dream given to Gina Gholston on 1/22/22. The dream was relevant then; it is even more so now. Together, we destroyed every demon and saved the tree.” End of dream. *********** The large, beautiful tree high on the hill, surrounded by green grass, obviously represents America. Our nation has long been referred to as "a city on a hill," spoken of frequently by our nation's Founders and leaders. No less than 13 Presidents have used this phrase in referencing America. 'A City on a Hill' is a phrase derived from the teaching of salt and light in Jesus's Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:14). In a modern context, it is used to refer to America acting as a "beacon of hope" for the world. (1) "This Scripture was cited at the end of Puritan John Winthrop's lecture or treatise, 'A Model of Christian Charity,' delivered on March 21, 1630, at Holyrood Church in Southampton before his first group of Massachusetts Bay colonists embarked on the ship Arbella to settle Boston. (2)(3) Quoting Matthew 5:14, where Jesus warns, 'A city on a hill cannot be hid,’ Winthrop warned his fellow Puritans that their new community would be ‘as a city upon a hill, the eyes of all people are upon us.’ His meaning was that if the Puritans failed to uphold their covenant with God, then their sins and errors would be exposed for all the world to see: 'So that if we shall deal falsely with our God in this work we have undertaken and so cause Him to withdraw His present help from us, we shall be made a story and a byword through the world.'" (4) Could any warning have been more poignant, and proven to have been more true? The size of the tree and lush green grass represents America’s blessing and prosperity from God (Psalm 23:2). We have been blessed and exalted for centuries, as no other nation has ever been blessed, under God's favor and blessings. In the dream, “we were in awe of this beautiful tree, amazed at the size of the trunk and the massive expanse of its canopy.” Indeed. In yesterday’s post, I said of the tamarisk evergreen tree Abraham planted, representing his covenant with the Everlasting God: “Because they grow so slowly, no one plants a tamarisk tree for him or herself; he or she will never personally benefit from it. When planting this particular type of evergreen, Abraham was thinking of future generations, the descendants Olam had promised him. And he was making a powerful declaration to them: ‘I am in covenant with Everlasting God, and you will sit under the shade of my covenant with Him.’ “Covenant with God blesses not only us, but our children and grandchildren, as well. God said He keeps covenant to a thousand generations (Deuteronomy 7:9)! This was certainly the case with Abraham, and it has been true of America. We have been enjoying the shade of our Founders’ covenant with God.” In Gina’s dream, however, the green pastures had already disappeared, and the tree’s roots were being destroyed. It doesn't take an arborist to know that a tree can still look and seem healthy for some time, even when its roots have begun to die. America is on life-support. Our covenant roots have been dying, poisoned by demonic strategies, which have been given place by compromise and complacency. No honest person can deny this truth: many in our government are dishonest much of our education system is a joke we are over 30 TRILLION dollars in debt our first and most fundamental right - freedom of speech - is being stolen we kill our babies the family unit has been decimated we don't know male from female our borders are open, allowing thousands of women and children to be trafficked, terrorists to enter our country, and illegal drugs to be brought in, killing tens of thousands - all for the sake of future votes kindergartners are being taught that they can change their gender our president is mentally challenged and the laughingstock of the world our history is being revised and stolen the church - God's remedy for these evils - has become a weak subculture, not salt and light and sadly, the list could go on. To state that the grass is no longer green and the roots of the tree are dying is heartbreakingly true. In the dream, however, it was not too late for the great tree. God revealed the weapon needed to destroy the demonic strategies killing the tree. Like the “Evergreen” boxing glove in the dream I mentioned yesterday and Friday which pointed to Abraham, our Founders, and the Appeal To Heaven Flag, the weapon would again be connected to covenant. We will address that tomorrow. Today, let’s end the post by “commanding the covenantal foreword” over America. Pray and decree with me: America was raised up by God to be a city on a hill, a beacon of light to all nations. America was called to preach the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations of the earth. America is one nation, under God. We have put our trust in Him and no other. We have no king but Jesus. The phrases "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God;" an appeal to the "Supreme Judge of the world," "the Creator," and "divine Providence” are all in our Declaration of Independence. We decree that, as a part of this legal document that birthed our nation, they give us authority today. We declare into the atmosphere of America that our faith is in this God! Leviticus 25:10 is on the Liberty Bell: "Proclaim liberty throughout the land to all the inhabitants thereof." This verse, referencing Christ as the world’s Redeemer, was announced at our birth, through the ringing of the bell, proclaiming our faith and our destiny. We declare its message over America again today: Christ is our Redeemer! Proclaiming His message is our purpose! America is in covenant with the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy. It explains one of the reasons I am confident God will save and restore America. The insight was linked to a dream given to a friend, which pointed me to a revelation from the life of Abraham. You can see the post here. Here is the dream once again: “In the dream, you (Dutch) were a boxer. You faced five giants in five rounds and knocked each of them out - one per round. You knocked each one out with one punch; and with each giant, you alternated fists. The first giant was K.O.’d with a right, the second with a left; back and forth you went until they were all down for the count. Five giants, five rounds, five punches, alternating fists. “After you knocked out the fifth giant,” he continued, “you walked out of the ring and directly up to me. Holding up your gloved fists, you declared, ‘If you’re going to take out the giants in this season, you’re going to have to wear these two gloves.’ One of the gloves had the word ‘Everlast’ on it; the other read ‘Evergreen.’” End of dream. The meaning of “Everlast” comes from Genesis 21:3, where Abraham called on Olam El, the Everlasting God who had preserved his destiny - in spite of his sins and failures. In the dream, God told me to wear this “glove” to knock out giants. In other words, believe His Olam El nature is able and willing to restore and use America, in spite of our failures, just as He did Abraham. The “Evergreen” Glove But what did the other boxing glove, “Evergreen” represent? As I relate in my book An Appeal to Heaven, it would be a while before this understanding came. When it did, beginning with the Appeal To Heaven flag, I realized it was connected to America’s roots and to prayer. To knock out the giants, America would have to return to/tap into/draw on - her God-given roots and the power of prayer. This is explained in the Appeal To Heaven book, and also in a previous post entitled, It's Time to Put on the Gloves. However, I also came to understand that the Evergreen glove, like Everlast, was connected to Abraham! In Genesis 21:33, before calling on Everlast, Abraham planted an evergreen! In this one verse, he wore both “gloves!” Obviously, I had read this verse often, and knew that Abraham planted a “tamarisk” tree before calling on Olam, Everlasting God. I just didn’t know a tamarisk tree was an evergreen! Abraham planted an evergreen tree and called on Everlasting God. Amazing. I still didn’t know what the tree represented to Abraham, but I knew it was important; why did he plant an evergreen tree? Here is what I discovered. First, in his day, trees were sometimes planted as memorials, used to remind people and nations of significant events. Secondly, because of their “undying” needles, evergreen trees symbolize covenant and its “forever” nature. When Abraham planted the evergreen tamarisk tree, he was establishing a witness or memorial to his undying, forever covenant relationship with Everlasting God. The message was: “Olam has proven Himself faithful to His covenant with me time and time again. I now declare my faithfulness to the covenant. I will forever honor my covenant with Everlasting God.” This particular type of evergreen, the tamarisk tree, is also significant. Tamarisks are slow-growing, long-living, and when fully grown, produce cool shade. In fact, because they grow so slowly, no one plants a tamarisk tree for him or herself; he or she will never personally benefit from it. When planting this particular type of evergreen, Abraham was thinking of future generations, the descendants Olam had promised him, and was making a powerful declaration to them: “I am in covenant with Everlasting God, and you will sit under the shade of my covenant with Him.” Wow! Covenant with God blesses not only us but our children and grandchildren, as well. Yahweh keeps covenant to a thousand generations (Deuteronomy 7:9)! This certainly has proven to be true with Abraham and his descendants, and it has been the case with America. We have been extremely blessed by the God-connections of the generations before us. When Holy Spirit spoke of “Evergreen” in the boxing dream, then revealed the connection to Abraham, He was pointing to covenant. And when He connected it to the Appeal To Heaven flag under which America was born, He was pointing America back to our roots, our covenant with Him, and to prayer. Different Types of Covenant There are different types and levels of covenant. Most Christians think of this word only in reference to God's covenant with Abraham and his offspring, or when referring to the New Covenant we partake of through Christ. Because of this, many shy away from believing America is in a covenant relationship with God. The word used in Scripture, however, has a much broader range of meanings. The Hebrew word is beriyth. It means "a compact, covenant, alliance, pledge, promise, treaty, agreement, league; a constitution, ordinance." (1) These usages can refer to an agreement between individuals, (as in a marriage or friendship), organizations, or nations. Israel even made a covenant with death (Isaiah 28:15, 18)! And, of course, it is used to describe covenants made with God. Simply stated, a covenant is a sacred and binding agreement or promise between two or more parties. When I state that America is in covenant with God, I am NOT saying the Lord entered into the type of covenant with us that He did with Abraham. And I'm certainly not implying that it is on the level of our covenant with God through Christ. Nor am I implying that it is based on a blood sacrifice. America’s Covenant I AM saying that early Pilgrims, settlers, and Founders in America entered into sacred alliances and agreements with God. They did so through prayers, promises, and written documents - including our founding documents, which made the agreements legally binding. Our Founders made sacred, covenantal promises to function under God's government and care, to serve His purposes, and to honor Him. This was accepted by God because they based it on Christ's sacrifice and the Scriptures. It was also accepted because God Himself inspired and motivated the actions! America absolutely has covenant agreements with God, and covenant promises from God! He still honors them, and as we "intercessorily" declare them, they are powerful. We can agree with and decree Hunt's Cape Henry Declaration that the gospel will go from these shores to all the nations of the earth. We can declare and decree with Congress that we are a nation under God. We can decree with Franklin and the Continental Congress that the God of providence founded us and will finish what He started. AND WE CAN TAKE OUT GIANTS WITH THESE DECLARATIONS! Wear the Evergreen glove! Appeal to heaven based on covenant, just as Washington and the early patriots did. Decree the promises, the covenants made to Him, and His decreed purposes for us. This is the “Foreword” Holy Spirit has told us to “command” [Work While You Celebrate (Part 2)], and doing so will preserve us by taking out the spiritual giants of our day. Put on the gloves and step into the ring. Pray with me: Father, just as our Founders placed an evergreen tree on the flag under which America was born, and just as Abraham planted an evergreen tree when he called upon You, we honor our covenant with You today. In our intercessory role, we wear the covenant glove and declare on behalf of the United States of America, “We are a nation under God.” We were raised up as a nation to represent You, to bless the nations of the earth for You, just as Abraham’s descendants were. We also wear the Everlast glove, calling on You, the Everlasting God, who is greater than all of our failures and sins. You knew they would occur when You called and appointed us, just as You did Abraham, yet You knew Your grace and power to redeem were greater. Your faith is in Your power and perfection, not ours. Cleanse and restore us, just as You did Abraham, and empower our “gloves” to take out the giants of our day. We ask for and receive this in Christ’s mighty name, amen. It explains one of the reasons I am confident God will save and restore America. I believe this will strengthen your faith and fuel your prayers. When I Boxed Five Giants Back in 2007, God gave a friend of mine an important dream. In the dream, I was a boxer and fought five giants, knocking out each of them—one per round over five rounds. I floored each giant with one punch; and with each opponent, I alternated fists. After I knocked out the fifth giant, I walked from the ring and addressed the young man having the dream. Holding up my gloved fists, I declared, “If you’re going to take out the giants in this season, you’re going to have to wear these two gloves.” One of the gloves had the word “Everlast” on it; the other, “Evergreen.” The Weapon of Everlast When the dream occurred, I had been studying the life of Abraham and his journey with God. In Genesis 21:33, Scripture tells us that at Beersheba, Abraham called on “the Everlasting God.” The Hebrew words are Olam El, and this is the first time in Scripture anyone referenced God as Olam El. The meaning of the word olam, “everlasting,” is not our typical concept of eternity, which is basically an endless future. The concept of olam is eternity extending both directions in time. One lexicon described it as the most distant times in both directions—past and future. Even such an amazing description as that falls short, however, because the word “times” in the definition violates the very concept of olam, which is timelessness. Olam cannot be defined by a timeline. This is why the word was applied to God. Olam El, Everlasting God, created time and exists outside of its boundaries and limitations. (1) For our finite, human minds—and in order for us to understand why Abraham chose this phrase to glorify God—suffice it to say that Olam El is the strong and mighty God (El), who is Lord over eternity past, present, and future (Olam). He can completely forgive and heal the past; He can see the future. For example, God doesn’t see a born-again, former thief as “a former thief”; He doesn’t see the redeemed murderer as “a former murderer.” When He forgives, He eradicates past sins and separates them from us “as far as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12), which is an immeasurable distance. He cleanses us and remembers our sins no more (Hebrews 8:12, 10:17). Olam, through the Cross, eradicates all record of our former sins. Therefore, Olam doesn’t speak of our future based on who or what we’ve been, nor does He limit it to our current state of being. He references it through the lens of what and who He will transform us into. Yahweh knows what He can do in us and is confident of the future He predicts. Abraham’s Failures Consider Abraham’s situation when he calls on the Lord as Olam El, Everlasting God. He has been on a twenty-five-year journey of attempting to follow God, and as he looks back over his life, Abraham remembers occasions where he failed miserably. Humanly speaking, his timeline contained blotches, torn places, and embarrassing failures. Most believers rightly think of Abraham as “the father of faith,” a description of him taken from Romans 4:16. Likewise, Hebrews 11 refers to him as a great man of faith. We forget, however, that Abraham wasn’t always a man of great faith. There were significant deviations from that path, which could have disqualified him. Actually, Abraham and Sarah both wavered at times in their attempts to believe God would give them a son. The Lord had promised this, but when no child came, their unbelief caused them to introduce Hagar into the family, resulting in the birth of Ishmael, another sin that could have disqualified them. Later, they actually laughed a cynical laugh at God’s final re-stating of the promise. And why not? Abraham was 99 years old, and Sarah was 90 (Genesis 17:1,17). This wasn’t Abraham’s only failure of faith, however. On two different occasions when Abraham and Sarah were younger, he was afraid that foreign kings might kill him in order to marry her. His solution for these fears included the despicable acts of pretending Sarah was his sister, rather than his wife. She was taken into the harem of both kings, two more incidents that could have stolen their destinies had God not supernaturally intervened! These deceptions and fabrications were horrible breaches of the marriage covenant and bold-faced lies. Olam Overcomes Our Unrighteous Past Having committed such sins, why does the Bible call Abraham a father of faith and a friend of God? Because even though he did not fulfill these descriptive phrases at every phase of his journey, they are accurate descriptions of what Abraham became and how he finished. Abraham “grew strong in faith” (Romans 4:20, italics added), and in his walk with God. And having been cleansed by Olam of his sinful past, Abraham isn’t remembered as “the covenant breaker,” “the liar,” or “the double-minded man.” He is known as God’s friend and our faith example - Isaac was, indeed, born! Abraham was grateful his past actions were not allowed to define his present situation. Olam El had navigated him through every season—even the embarrassing and sinful ones—transformed him and preserved his destiny. As He does for all of us, He had reached back in time and cleansed Abraham’s wrongs. With that in mind, one can almost see Abraham in Genesis 21:33 searching for a name of God that described this facet of His nature. Elohim? Adonai? Yahweh? None seemed to satisfy him, so he came up with a new one that described God as He who controls time—past, present, and future! In Abraham’s mind, the thought process may have been something similar to this: “You are more than Yahweh, Adonai, and Elohim. You are the infinite and powerful God of the Ages—Olam El. You are outside of time and Lord over time! As Ruler over the past, present, and future, you forgave and eradicated my sins and kept my destiny intact. When I was unfaithful, You were faithful; when I doubted, You overcame my unbelief; when I lied, You were able—not only to forgive me—but to cleanse me and keep my marriage intact. And even when our bodies were too old to conceive and reproduce—99 and 90 years of age—You placed some of Your timeless, olam nature in Sarah and me, and we drank from the fountain of youth! Truly, You are the creator of and ruler over time - Olam El - Everlasting God!” Abraham had entered a new phase in his walk with God. He recognized that the Sovereign Lord over his past could be fully trusted with his future. And Abraham boldly declared this faith in Olam El, the Lord over time! Wearing the Glove for America When I pray for revival in America, I boldly and confidently wear the glove God told me to wear: Everlast. I know the breaches in America’s history well—the injustices, the evil acts, our many sins. Like Abraham, we have failed, sometimes egregiously. But I also know Olam El and what He can do through the blood of the Cross. Yes, our nation has a flawed past and present. But I’m not asking for a merit-based revival. Obviously, the Lord isn’t going to award America with a revival simply because He’s impressed with our actions. But isn’t that the point of revival? If we were “good enough,” we wouldn’t need one! I’m asking for awakening because covenant-keeping Olam El lives up to His name. I have faith for revival because I know the timeless God can reach back and heal America’s breaches. I make declarations that Everlasting God can cancel our bad fruit, repairing the wrongs we today are responsible for, as well as those we’ve inherited. Forgiveness and cleansing are Yahweh’s specialties. He does not simply whitewash over our sins; Olam makes us new creations in Christ! When we wear this glove, placing our faith fully in God’s grace and the blood of Jesus alone, blessings can and will flow through America’s timeline once again, and giants can be defeated. Much “identificational repentance” has occurred for America, just as occurred for Israel in the Scriptures (Nehemiah 1:4-11; Daniel 9:1-19; Ezekiel 22:30-31 speaks of God forgiving nations through the prayers of one intercessor). This includes repentance for our sins against the First Nations people, slavery, abortion, and much more. Granted, ongoing sins must also be repented of; but this too, is occurring. Believe in the power of Christ’s cleansing! In the dream, God said we must wear Abraham’s “Olam glove,” believing He can do for us what He did for him. Olam knew America would fail at times when He called and destined us, just as He did Abraham. He also knew repentance would occur, however, allowing Him to cleanse and restore. Wear the glove..! Pray with me: Father, Your mercy endures forever; it triumphs over judgment. The “better” sacrifice of Christ’s blood now stains the Mercy Seat of Heaven, shouting loudly through the corridors of time: Finished! We anchor our faith to this, Olam, wearing the glove You told us to wear; our faith is in Christ and His blood, nothing else. We arm ourselves with this provision and strike the giants of unrighteous government, false religion, abortion, pride, and other strongholds in the name of Christ, our Everlasting Redeemer. And with faith in Him, we use this same provision to move forward into our restored destiny. America exists to partner with the Lord Jesus Christ and proclaim His message throughout the earth. You have given Christ the nations as His inheritance, and the ends of the earth as His possession. With a rod of iron, He will break those who oppose Him, and shatter them like earthenware (Psalm 2:6-9). You have declared it, and it is so! Our decree: We, the Ekklesia of Christ Jesus, decree that Olam has won the fight, and salvation will be visited on the nations of the earth. ********************* Portions of today’s post were taken from my book An Appeal to Heaven. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/august-3-2023 August 3, 2023 Kiss the Son The first thing I want to say today is that when writing and recording yesterday’s post, the indictment of Trump, in connection with January 6, had not yet occurred and was nowhere in my thinking. Actually, I left my studio after recording the post, and only then heard the news. This does not mean the timing is unrelated. I believe Holy Spirit led me to do so yesterday, and very few things could have confirmed what I stated more effectively than this indictment. We have all heard the phrase, “It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to understand…” However, when afforded the opportunity to glean insights from such a brainiac - (pun intended) - why not do so? Here is what the incredibly brilliant and level-headed brain surgeon, Dr. Ben Carson, had to say about the indictment: “The political persecution of President Trump continues. If this THIRD indictment isn't a reason to drain the swamp, I don't know what is.” (1) Then there is the incredibly wise, articulate, and also level-headed Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas, who said the following: “On Jan 6 @realDonaldTrump tells crowd to peacefully protest. He gets indicted by Biden's DOJ. Joe skims millions from Ukraine and Communist China. Nothing. Yes, Americans see it for what it is. I will work harder than ever to reelect Trump.” (2) Boom. Having commented on President Trump’s indictment, it is important to reiterate that yesterday’s post was not about him. My calling is NOT to defend Donald Trump, support Republicans, or impugn Democrats. It IS to speak truth, teach Scripture, promote biblical principles (values), and be a prophetic voice of what I believe Holy Spirit is saying today. If you did not see yesterday’s post, consider reading or listening to it (America's "Pharaohs"). I believe it is a word from Holy Spirit. Here is a brief portion: “Just as He did with Pharaoh, God used the Left’s lust for power and control, their pride, and the hardness of their hearts as the fuse. Their anger and hatred of outsider Donald Trump - along with his obvious threat to their power - was the match that lit the fuse. God allowed them enough success to believe they were now firmly and irreversibly in control. Thus, there was no longer a need to hide their intentions. What were once covert and subtle attempts to control, became brazen abuses of power. Hidden and disguised strategies became full-on, in-your-face, ‘we don’t have to hide it anymore – we are taking over your country,’ actions. They took the bait, and now, like Pharaoh, they and their hardened hearts are speeding pell-mell toward the Red Sea.” (3) When thinking of those in our day who arrogantly rise up against God and feel they can mock Him, twist laws, implement double standards of justice, lie with impunity, groom kindergartners for immoral lifestyles, kill innocent babies, and mutilate confused children, some words of the Ancient of Days to Job come to mind: “Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said, ‘Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Now gird up your loins like a man, and I will ask you, and you instruct Me! Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding, who set its measurements? Since you know. Or who stretched the line on it? On what were its bases sunk? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?’” (Job 38:1-7 NASB) “Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm and said, ‘Now gird up your loins like a man; I will ask you, and you instruct Me. Will you really annul My judgment? Will you condemn Me that you may be justified? Or do you have an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like His?’” (Job 40:6-9 NASB) Isaiah’s words from Yahweh also come to mind, when the Almighty spoke of His omnipotence and omniscience: “To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare with Him? He it is who reduces rulers to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth meaningless. Scarcely have they been planted, scarcely have they been sown, scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, but He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the storm carries them away like stubble. ‘To whom then will you liken Me that I would be his equal?’ says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, not one of them is missing.” (Isaiah 40:18, 23-26 NASB) God was not intimidated by Job and his counselors, Israelites in Isaiah’s day, nor Pharaoh; and He is certainly not intimidated by the chariot riders of our day. Psalm 2 is the final passage that comes to mind when considering those in America who arrogantly oppose God. Yahweh overhears kings and rulers conniving about overthrowing His and His Son’s rule (Psalm 2:1-3). His first response is mocking laughter (verse 4), after which He speaks to these rebellious leaders and “TERRIFIES THEM IN HIS FURY” (verse 5). The Almighty then assures us that His Son’s reign over Earth is secure (verses 6-9). The ever-kind and gracious God then ends the chapter with an offer of mercy; even in His wrath, Yahweh remembers mercy (Habakkuk 3:2). “Listen to me, all you rebel kings and all you upstart judges of the earth. Learn your lesson while there’s still time. Serve and worship the awe-inspiring God. Recognize His greatness and bow before Him, trembling with reverence in His presence. Fall facedown before Him and kiss the Son before His anger is roused against you. Remember that His wrath can be quickly kindled! But many blessings are waiting for all who turn aside to hide themselves in Him!” (Psalm 2:10-12 TPT) Pray with me: Father, Your infinite wisdom and knowledge are beyond our finite ability to grasp; Your power knows no bounds. We are forever grateful that Your nature is also love; You’re always gracious and kind. Thank You for offering salvation, even to those who conspire against You, if they will repent and “kiss” Your Son. So, we ask for salvation to come to those in America who oppose You and partner with evil. Open their eyes to truth and the gospel. You know for whom this is still possible; for them, we request deliverance and salvation. The blood of Jesus still cleanses from ALL sin and unrighteousness. We glory in this salvation, both for ourselves and for all who will receive it. And yet, we ask You to overthrow the plans and strategies of darkness being implemented by people in our nation. Bring down their strongholds, frustrate their plans, empty their bank accounts, confuse their efforts, and continue to expose evil. Lead Pharaohs to the Red Sea, while at the same time opening the eyes and transforming the hearts of millions, turning them into lovers of truth and worshippers of Your Son. We ask for and decree the coming of Your Kingdom ways here on earth, just as they operate in heaven. And we do so in Yeshua’s name. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/august-2-2023 August 2, 2023 America’s “Pharaohs” Holy Spirit told us nineteen times in chapters 4-14 of Exodus that Pharaoh’s heart was “hardened.” It is rare for God to repeat Himself that frequently in Scripture; obviously, it means He’s making an important point. Several of the verses clearly indicate that Pharaoh hardened his own heart, but many of the references state that God also did so. Since He neither forces nor tempts anyone to sin (James 1:13-14), what does this mean? Holy Spirit is informing us Pharaoh hardened his heart to an irredeemable level, at which time God chose to harden it further to serve His purposes. Yahweh not only delivered Israel, He also used Pharaoh’s pride, stubbornness and obstinacy to expose the false gods of Egypt (Numbers 33:3-4), and reveal Himself as the true God to the people of Egypt (Exodus 10:1; 14:4). The hardening of one’s heart to the point of exhausting God’s mercy and redeeming grace, as Pharaoh did, is a fearful thing to consider; only a high level of evil could do so. God is long-suffering and kind. He identified Himself to Moses as, “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and truth;” (Exodus 34:6; NASB). But Pharaoh’s pride and wickedness had caused him to reach this point. He actually said in Exodus 5:2: “Who is the Lord that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, and besides, I will not let Israel go.” (NASB) I fear that some leaders in America have hardened their hearts to this level of evil. I realize that only Yahweh, the Supreme Judge, has the right and ability to determine this. Yet, the justification of killing babies, even after their birth; trafficking in children (and ridiculing movies exposing it); mutilating the bodies of confused children - all for the love of money - is an incredibly high level of evil! Fomenting racial hatred, division and violence in order to gain or protect power is an indicator of very hardened hearts. Arrogantly mocking God and His Word, while promoting idolatry, immorality, lies, and injustice is a shockingly high level of pride, deception, and rebellion. God said He hates these things, that they are an abomination to Him (Proverbs 6:16-19). Abomination is toebah, which means “disgusting, abhorrent, abominable.” (1) The root word means “to loathe, detest, or abhor.” (2) Strong words regarding how God feels about these things. Without question, many arrogant leaders and voices of influence in America are saying with Pharaoh, “Who is the Lord that I should obey His voice?” As they continue to harden their hearts, they run further and further from the grace of God. And though we cannot be sure of who has crossed that awful finish line, of this I am confident: God is using their hard, evil hearts and actions to awaken the American people, just as He used Pharaoh’s hardened heart. Many Americans, far more than in 2016 or 2020, now see the evil in America’s government - lying, corruption, two-tiered justice, dishonest elections, weaponization of agencies against citizens, corrupt judges, censorship, White House drag shows, hatred of our God-given roots, and more. Far more of our citizens now see the level of corruption and dishonesty in the media. And the wickedness of our education department, not to mention its ineptness, is disgusting to most Americans. Millions more people are now aware of just how far America has fallen, and are seeing the need for radical transformation. This had to occur. Just as He did with Pharaoh, God used the Left’s lust for power and control, their pride, and the hardness of their hearts as the fuse. Their anger and hatred of outsider Donald Trump - along with his obvious threat to their power - was the match that lit the fuse. God allowed them enough success to believe they were now firmly and irreversibly in control. Thus, there was no longer a need to hide their intentions. What were once covert and subtle attempts to control became brazen abuses of power. Hidden and disguised strategies became full-on, in your face, “we don’t have to hide it anymore – we are taking over your country,” actions. They took the bait and now, like Pharaoh, they and their hardened hearts are speeding pell-mell toward the Red Sea. God is making a mockery of them, just as He did Pharaoh. In Exodus 10:1-2, God stated His plans: “Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, so that I may perform these signs of Mine among them, and that you may tell in the presence of your son, and of your grandson, how I made a mockery of the Egyptians and how I performed My signs among them, so that you may know that I am the Lord.’” (NASB) The word translated “mockery” could also be translated “fools” - God made fools of the Egyptians. Many American leaders have looked like fools for quite a long time; now they are leaving no doubt! History will not be kind to them. In First Samuel 2:30, the Lord said, “those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me will be insignificant.” (NASB) The primary meaning of qalal, the Hebrew word translated insignificant, is “cursed.” (3) Those who despise and dishonor the Lord will be cursed and become insignificant. History will, indeed, remember them as fools, just as it does Pharaoh. Moses wrote a song about the Red Sea deliverance of Israel and judgment of Pharaoh; you can find it in Exodus 15. In the Jesus People Movement of the 70s, we sang several choruses taken from the words of this great chapter. One of my favorites - though it would likely be too graphic for many “sensitive” charismatic churches today - was taken from verses one and two: “I will sing unto the Lord, for He hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath He thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him.” (KJV) Perhaps Bible-believing churches should start singing it again. I will include a link at the end of today’s post, for any who are interested. We also sang another great chorus from this chapter, verse three, which unabashedly declares: “The Lord is a warrior…” (NASB) He is, indeed. Do not doubt it. Pray with me: God of power and might, You take no pleasure in judging Your enemies, but instead delight in mercy. Yet, when it becomes necessary, You do judge them. Our prayer today is that for all of Your enemies who can and will receive it, show them Your salvation. Open their eyes to the evil of the god they serve, deliver and cleanse them from his influence. Reveal Christ to them, and His great offer of mercy and salvation. Yet, because we are confident that You are a perfect, all-wise Judge, we also pray Psalm 68:1-2: “Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, and let those who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, so drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish before God.” (NASB) Deal strongly with the hard-hearted oppressors of the weak and vulnerable. May the Pharaohs of the earth be removed from their places of power. Deliver the children, protect the babies, rescue our sons and daughters, Father. Reap the great harvest! Show Yourself both merciful and strong, loving and powerful. You are Savior and Judge, Lover and Warrior. Allow nothing and no one to stop the coming outpouring of Your glorious Holy Spirit. Let no mocking Pharaoh stop the great 21st century Exodus; allow no Herod to stop our generation’s book of Acts. We confidently bring these biblical requests before You on the basis of Christ’s victory and authority; therefore we are certain they are received by You with pleasure. Amen. Our decree: We boldly decree that the Red Sea victory was a picture of the Cross, and therefore cycles throughout all of history. The title, Pentecostal Fire, is taken from the outpouring of Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. Books such as this assure me of the coming revival, as do the young revivalists I see being prepared. I am also encouraged by the strategies and plans God is giving to many of His leaders, preparing them for the coming move of His Spirit. And then, of course, there are the prophecies being released regarding Holy Spirit’s amazing plans. These are just a few of the reasons I do not fear any shaking that may occur to restore America. It will prepare us, not destroy us. Though Larry’s powerful and stirring book is filled with principles about preparing for and entering into revival, in the final chapter he challenges us regarding three idols we must address. Here is a portion of that chapter: “I believe there are three idols that need to be identified, confronted, and demolished in order for us to make room for Pentecostal fire to manifest. It’s available now, but as it was in the days of Jesus’ birth, there is no room at the inn. We have not made room for the wild move of Pentecostal fire because, like with the inn of the Christmas story, we have filled our modern inns with other things. Simply stated, there is no space for Pentecost because we have filled God’s space with things He never asked for. “No. 1: The Idol of Reputation [Quoting revivalist Vance Havner] “‘I believe with all my soul that when we quit depending on our gadgets and gimmicks and stand on nothing but the promises of God, risking our reputation and future on it, staking everything on a miracle instead of on men and machinery and mere money, the fire will fall.’ (1) “…We are living in an era when the possibility of having a popular reputation, being followed by millions of people, and thus, financially benefiting from said reputation is unlike any other moment in history. We have entered the day of the celebrity pastor. The great revivalists of old, Jonathan Edwards, Smith Wigglesworth, Evan Roberts, even down to A. W. Tozer, Leonard Ravenhill, and Kathryn Kuhlman, have left an imprint on history, preaching uncompromised truth without having any social media status or high-yield email list. [emphasis Dutch’s] “…If you decide to lay down preaching truth or trade welcoming the wild move of the Holy Spirit in order to be popular and polished, your efforts may result in temporary superficial success, but make no mistake, the truly spiritual will discern a lack of weight on what you share and speak. We need to heed and follow the words of the Apostle Paul: ‘For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ’ (Gal. 1:10). “No. 2: The Idol of Religion [Quoting C. Peter Wagner] “‘The spirit of religion is an agent of Satan assigned to prevent change and to maintain the status quo by using religious devices.’ (2) “The spirit of religion is not restrained to churches that feature pews, stained-glass windows, holy water, and organ music. In fact, I find this spirit to be more prevalent and insidious, working destructively and covertly, in contemporary sanctuaries - especially Charismatic churches. Often, those who claim a more Charismatic or Pentecostal theology accuse the more traditional churches of being religious, when in fact, those who know the things of the Spirit and have tasted of the ‘powers of the age to come’ can be the ones who actually miss God. They have, perhaps, fallen into the greatest snare of the serpent: they value concepts, conferences, events, receiving prophetic words, falling on the ground, speaking in tongues, and even prophesying about the new moves of the Holy Spirit more than demonstration and movement. Bottom line: the spirit of religion resists any forward movement for the Kingdom of God, seeking to influence honest believers into embracing the present state of Christianity as a ceiling or lid that cannot be moved. “The spirit of religion especially loves First Corinthians 14:40. Earlier in the book, I wrote a whole chapter on the idea of ‘decently and in order’ and how God has a vision of Holy Spirit order that is often different from our comfort zone’s spiritual preferences. The spirit of religion will preach this verse out of context with great volume, insisting that anything that looks unusual, uncomfortable, or wild is certainly not the orderly, gentlemanly operation of the Holy Spirit. “No. 3: The Idol of Rigidity “Are we willing to be disrupted by God? Outbreaks of Pentecostal fire are released by breaker people who partner with Heaven’s divine interruptions. Duncan Campbell, the evangelist who was catalytic in the Hebrides Revival, described one of the key events that broke open the region for Holy Spirit outpouring: ‘Here is a scene witnessed during the first days of the movement: a crowded church, the service is over. The congregation, reluctant to disperse, stands outside the church in a silence that is tense. Suddenly a cry is heard within: a young man, burdened for the souls of his fellow men, is pouring out his soul in intercession. He prays until he falls into a trance and lies prostrate on the floor of the church. But Heaven had heard, and the congregation, moved by a power that they could not resist, came back into the church, and a wave of conviction of sin swept over the gathering, moving strong men to cry to God for mercy. This service continued until the small hours of the morning.’ (3) “Note what happened: the cry was heard from the young man, pouring out his soul in intercession. In the modern Church, such would be observed as a distraction or interruption. Yes, there are fleshly responses that are not Holy Spirit motivated. But I am concerned that we have become so hard of spiritually seeing and hearing, as the priest Eli was in the days of Hannah and Samuel, that we automatically assume that all interruptions are the flesh. Rigidity shuts down divine interruption because there is no time in the meeting, no space in the schedule, or we simply assume all interruptions are fleshly. “The Welsh Revival of 1904 had Evan Roberts boldly praying, ‘Bend me, O Lord.’ Azusa Street in 1906 saw William Seymour baptized in the Holy Spirit, speaking in other tongues - inviting the nations to enter into that same experience. The Toronto Blessing saw Randy Clark ministering on January 20, 1994, at the Airport Vineyard Church, Toronto, Canada, simply sharing his testimony and then giving the church an opportunity to come forward and receive a touch from God (like Randy had received on his quest for personal revival); that invitation broke open the revival. The Brownsville Revival was largely catalyzed by Pastor John Kilpatrick being dynamically overwhelmed by the presence of the Holy Spirit on Father's Day 1995. These invasions of Heaven were birthed into the earth by a person boldly welcoming the Holy Spirit's move and making room for His interruption in their midst. There is no room for rigidity when we claim to truly desire the authentic move of the Holy Spirit.” We must prepare our hearts for what God is about to do, for regardless of what any future shaking might be, or how severe it is, I assure you it will be followed by incredible revival. Corrective actions and discipline from God are to mature and prepare us, not destroy us (Hebrews 12:4-13). Verse 10 tells us they are “for our good.” Prepare yourself for Holy Spirit’s great outpouring - it is coming! Pray with me: Father, You are determined to reap a harvest of unprecedented proportions. Your love demands it, Christ paid for it, and Holy Spirit will generate it. As we prepare to partner with You in this, we are not afraid of any work You must do to prepare us. We know Your heart is merciful, and You discipline as a Father, to prepare us for greater fruitfulness. As we prepare, we choose to operate in the mind of Christ, who emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant (Philippians 2:5-8). We renounce and lay down the idols we’ve made of our reputations. In the future, we will seek to please You, not men (Galatians 1:10). Many in the church have chosen popularity over speaking truth; deliver us from this and replace it with a spirit of humility and boldness. And we ask You to show us any places in our lives where we have tolerated a religious spirit, turning to “form without power,” or have prioritized religious actions and works over intimacy with You. Forgive us for protecting our “comfort zones” with a false interpretation of “decently and in order.” We want Your order, which is sometimes shocking in its intensity and uncomfortable to our flesh. And we choose to become more flexible, rejecting the absurdity of putting You in man-made boxes. We determine to be pliable wineskins that can handle new wine. We do not care what revival looks like, as long as it comes from You. We also choose humility, acknowledging that we don’t know what Your actions will look like, only that they are good - always. We pray all of these things in Jesus’ name. Amen. Yes, our government is a mess and America is in desperate need. Yes, many prophets believe a shaking is coming to our nation. BUT God has said the shaking is to restore and reset us, not destroy us; it is redemptive in nature. We are obeying His instructions to cover our nation with prayer, and we can expect God to do what He said: America shall be saved! And revival is coming! I was with my good friend Gene Bailey last night in Fort Worth, joining him for a Flashpoint Live. It is only appropriate that I use a portion from his great book, Flashpoint of Revival, for today’s post. I love his statement in the first chapter of the book: “God does His best work in impossible situations.” Listen to what Gene says about this: ************** “Historically when national issues don't go the way we think they should, we've turned on each other instead of the enemy of our faith. May that not be the way we move forward in this season. If we look above our circumstances and to the Lord, we are set to respond from a posture of faith and not fear. We must remember this fundamental truth: God does His best work in impossible situations. Let's look at a couple stories that highlight God's faithfulness in times of adversity. “When an angel appeared to Zechariah and prophesied the birth of John the Baptist, Zechariah had a hard time believing this. After all, he was old, and Elizabeth had been barren. Even getting pregnant seemed impossible - much less with someone like John the Baptist who would have such a powerful influence as a forerunner for Jesus Himself. Sure, they'd prayed for a child, but would God really answer? And was God answering like this? “The angel's description of Zechariah and Elizabeth's son-to-be was more than Zechariah could believe. He did what many of us would probably do - he looked at his circumstance, and he questioned the angel. Zechariah asked the angel, “How do you expect me to believe this? I'm an old man and my wife is too old to give me a child. What sign can you give me to prove this will happen?" Then the angel said, “I am Gabriel. I stand beside God himself. He has sent me to announce to you this good news. But now, since you did not believe my words, you will be stricken silent and unable to speak until the day my words have been fulfilled at their appointed time and a child is born to you. That will be your sign!" Meanwhile, the crowds outside kept expecting him to come out. They were amazed over Zechariah’s delay, wondering what had could have happened inside the sanctuary. When he finally did come out, he tried to talk, but he couldn’t speak a word, and they realized from his gestures that he had seen a vision while in the Holy Place. He remained mute as he finished his days of priestly ministry in the temple and then went back to his own home. Soon afterward his wife, Elizabeth, became pregnant and went into seclusion for the next five months. With joy she exclaimed, "See how kind it is of God to gaze upon me and take away the disgrace of my barrenness!" (Luke 1:18-25 TPT) “What a great example of God performing the impossible. Did you notice that God had to silence Zechariah so he wouldn't speak his negativity and unbelief? If that happened nowadays every time there was unbelief, well...you know. But God had heard Zechariah and Elizabeth’s prayers and He didn’t allow the old man’s unbelief to stop His promise from coming to pass. He does for us what He did for Zechariah - He always works on our behalf - sometimes with us, and sometimes in spite of us! “We serve a God who is full of surprises. Take that one step further - He's especially good at doing the impossible. Often, we expect Him to do one thing and He does another. We anticipate Him moving in one direction, but He moves in a completely different way. Sometimes when we trust Him to handle something right away, God waits - for what seems like forever. At other times, we pray and prepare for a long wait, and almost immediately He answers the prayer for what we thought might never come to pass. “What we call impossible, God sees as no problem at all. “Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26 NIV) “‘For no word from God will ever fail’ (Luke 1:37 NIV). Nothing, not even the most overwhelming problem, is impossible to conquer with God. The truth is, His solutions are always much better than anything we could come up with on our own. “Many times, Christians are convinced that there is no way even God could intervene in their life. Because of this flawed thinking, they miss out on some of God's best work. God prefers to work in that problem you have relegated to the ‘impossible’ file. When we throw up our hands and say, ‘There is no way,’ God loves to prove He is who He says He is - God. “The story of Daniel and the lions' den is a perfect picture of the promises and faithfulness of God. King Darius was the ruler of Babylon, and he had appointed many men to assist him in governing and leading the city. These men advised King Darius to enforce a new law specifying that people should only worship and pray to the king, and anyone who worshiped or prayed to other gods would be thrown into the lions' den. Even in the midst of what seemed like certain death, God spared Daniel and then used him to save an entire nation. “I'm sure Daniel must have wondered (like us) if everything had been lost, but he refused to bow to a man and his self-imposed rules. With his windows open, Daniel prayed three times a day. The king was devastated when his men came to him with their allegations against Daniel. King Darius had supported Daniel, but when he realized he couldn't change the rules, Daniel was thrown into the lions' den. When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?" Daniel answered, “May the king live forever! My God sent His angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in His sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty." The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. (Daniel 6:20-23 NIV) “Don't lose hope. God has not forsaken this country. Let's learn from Zechariah the importance of silencing our unbelief. Let's look at our nation's situation through Daniel's eyes and keep our focus on God, no matter what's happening around us. America is not lost, but we are in a war for the very soul of our nation. And souls are what we are all about! Luke 19:10 states, "The Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost" (HCSB). Remember, God does His best work in impossible situations.” Pray with me: Father, thank You for Your encouragement to us. You truly are the God of the impossible, and do your best work in impossible situations. America’s condition does indeed look impossible. What a great opportunity for You to show just how powerful and merciful You are! You have sent Your forerunners in our day, just as You did in Christ’s. Prophetic voices have prepared the way, speaking of Your salvation and deliverance, just as the angel Gabriel and John did. We refuse to give any place to fear or unbelief. You will do as you have said, and You will NOT be stopped. You not only closed Zechariah‘s mouth for a season, You also closed the mouths of lions for Daniel! You are still closing mouths today, silencing Baal’s voice and silencing those through whom he speaks. Like Daniel, we have refused to bow the knee to him and his false gods, but have instead chosen to honor You. Now we will see You demonstrate Your great power. As Gene said in his book, You have not forsaken this country. And we have and will look at our nation’s situation through Daniel’s eyes, keeping our focus on You. We ask and declare these things in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen. When asked about interest in these topics, a clear majority of Christians expressed a desire to learn more: Abortion - 91% beginning of life, right to life, contraception, adoption, unwed mothers Religious persecution/liberty - 86% personal duty vs. government duty, church response, global conditions Poverty - 85% personal duty vs. government role, church response, homelessness, hunger, dependency Cultural restoration - 83% appropriate morals, law and order, defensible values and norms, self-government Sexual identity - 82% same-sex marriage, transgenderism, marriage, LGBT Israel - 80% role in the world, Christian responsibility to Israel, US foreign policy toward Israel and her enemies Christian Heritage - 79% role of Christian faith in American history, the church's role in U.S. development, modern-day relevance Role of Government - 76% biblical view, church-state relationship, personal responsibility, limitations Bioethics - 76% cloning, euthanasia, genetic engineering, cryogenics, organ donation, surrogacy Self-governance - 75% biblical support, personal conduct, impact on freedom, national sovereignty Church in politics/government - 73% separation of church and state, legal boundaries, church resistance to government Islam - 72% core beliefs, response to Islamic aggression, a threat to U.S. peace and domestic tranquility People were asking for biblical guidance on these issues, which are certainly some of the most relevant and important of our time. The survey also asked pastors if they had plans to discuss these topics from the pulpit. The results? Only 14% answered “Yes.”(1) I wasn’t surprised to see these percentages - I’ve encountered far more opposition in the church from pastors and leaders than I have the average church member when speaking of these issues. Most pastors either: don’t see them as biblical topics (FIGURE THAT ONE OUT!); are afraid of the IRS; think the topics are too divisive (as though God’s Word shouldn’t be divisive at times); are controlled by the fear of man (loss of members, job, status in the community, etc); consider these subjects as “political,” therefore off-limits at church; consider them as personal matters, and therefore, should not be discussed at church; or, don’t want to take the time to study and research the topics well enough to bring informed, biblical teaching. And if you think these stats are inaccurate, or that I am wrong about my assertions, ask yourself how long it has been since your pastor has addressed these issues. Sadly, most of you will have to answer, “Never.” Most pastors have chosen, for one reason or another, to ignore parts of Scripture. Now you know why: the majority of the church in America has an unbiblical worldview; most Christians won’t make a stand against abortion and for life; many Christians will vote for politicians who are liberal, woke, pro-abortion, and have other non-biblical beliefs; many professing Christians believe there is more than one path/way to salvation/God; many professing Christians believe homosexuality, transgenderism - including the permanent mutilation of children, adultery, sex outside of marriage, same-sex marriage, and other sinful lifestyles are fine; many believers know little about America’s Christian heritage; many churches are lukewarm social clubs; and last, but certainly not least, we lost a generation to drugs, sexual perversion, and gender confusion; and also to godless, secularistic, humanistic, Marxist, and woke ideologies. This is why we contend for a Third Great Awakening, a sweeping revival of historic proportions, America’s only hope for true and lasting change. Then, and only then, can the reformations we need in all other areas occur. We must have both: revival and reformation. Today, as we command God’s foreword over America, I end with quotes from two of America’s great early patriots who had no problem mixing God and government. The great Samuel “Sam” Adams was known as the “Father of the American Revolution,” instigated the Boston Tea Party, signed the Declaration of Independence, and called for the first Continental Congress. After the Declaration of Independence was signed, some wept, others bowed their heads in prayer. Samuel Adams rose and stated:(2) “We have this day restored the Sovereign, to Whom alone men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and…from the rising to the setting of the sun, may His kingdom come.”(3) Our sixth President, John Quincy Adams, the son of John and Abigail, was a brilliant man; he was actually serving America’s government at 14 years of age!”(4) On July 4, 1801, America’s 25th birthday, he made the following momentous statement: “The highest glory of the American Revolution was this; it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity…”(5) Profound! Pray with me: Father, as we command the foreword today, agreeing with America’s Founders, we are also agreeing with You - saying what You said, which is the definition of biblical confession. We are decreeing Your Kingdom will and purposes; and we are producing the synergy of the ages, allowing You to perfect and complete today what You started through these early leaders (Hebrews 11:39-40). We agree with Sam Adams, declaring that when America was born, the will of our sovereign God was released, He to whom alone men ought to be obedient. Our God reigns in heaven, and…from the rising to the setting of the sun, His Kingdom will come. We agree with John Quincy Adams, declaring the highest glory of the American Revolution to have been that it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity. We command these truths back into the core of American life and thinking. We ask for fire to return to America’s churches, the fires of revival. We ask for bold, fearless, biblical preaching and teaching to be resurrected. We ask that passion for You and Your presence would return, an insatiable hunger for You and Your Word. Convict us where we have bowed to an unbiblical government, the culture around us, unrighteous education systems, and mooring-less courts and judges. Forgive us for allowing these and other things to steal the seed of Your Word, causing it to be unfruitful. We have built upon the sand, and our nation is crumbling. Bring the merciful shaking of which You spoke and cause the unbiblical foundations to fall, then restore us to Your roots and foundations. Send revival here and around the world. We pray these things in Christ’s name, amen. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-27-2023 July 27, 2023 Front Line Volunteers “For the leaders leading in Israel, For the people volunteering, Bless the Lord!” (Judges 5:2 NASB) “Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.” (Psalm 110:3 NASB) The words “volunteer/volunteering” in these great verses come from a Hebrew word meaning not only to volunteer, but also carries the idea of spontaneity (nadab (1)/nedabah (2)). This word is used most often to describe freewill (voluntary) offerings and volunteer soldiers. It is also translated as “willing” or “willingly.” The verse in Judges was sung by the great prophet and judge, Deborah, after Israel’s victory over Sisera. The verse from Psalm 110 is a prophecy about you and me, the “Melchizedek Order” of priesthood under King/Priest Jesus. The chapter tells us that Yahweh will make Yeshua’s enemies His footstool by stretching forth His scepter of authority from us, His volunteer army. This is now occurring. Volunteer members of Christ’s Ekklesia are responding to His instructions by “painting” their state borders and “commanding the foreword” He wrote for America. I don’t believe I’ve seen anything like it before. Surely, heaven is rejoicing. Satan has tried to curse America and bring about her destruction. Were it not for God’s grace and mercy through Christ, he would have succeeded. But just as Balak failed in his attempt to destroy Israel by having Balaam prophesy/declare curses over them, satan will fail today to destroy America (Numbers 22-24). Balaam said he heard blessing from God over Israel, not curses, and added the great phrase, “The shout of a king is among them” (Numbers 23:21). The Complete Jewish Bible translated the verse, “Adonai their God is with them and acclaimed as king among them.” And the Amplified Bible says, “The Lord their God is with Israel, and the shout of their King is among the people.” God is releasing the shout of King Jesus over America through His volunteer army. We will survive, recover, and return to God and His destiny for us. Here are several encouraging reports from volunteers: From Tennessee The Lord and I were in the car for 10.5 hours, covering the TN/KY border along middle TN. We painted and closed the door to evil, including human trafficking & slavery in all of its forms. I prayed Psalm 91 over Fort Campbell and for revival fire to fall there. I used Psalm 110 and the various declarations posted on the website (Declaration by Robert Hunt, Declaration of Dependence, and Anoint the Borders Decree) as the Lord led. I worshipped, praised, and declared. Eight counties were covered. Praise the Lord for the privilege of traveling with Him throughout the day. Tennessee and America will be saved and is grafted into the Lord’s anchors and cables/guidelines for the coming season. Another from Tennessee Two other ladies and I met at the TN Map embedded at the North end of Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, near the Nashville Farmer's Market. We met at the Visitor's Center to paint/anoint all of the TN borders via the embedded TN Map (this map includes all the counties, county seats, and the capital). We prayed and declared the Declaration by Robert Hunt, the Declaration of Dependence, and the Anoint the Borders Decree. We also prayed for the State Capitol, Governor, and our Legislators. From Texas I spent the last two Saturdays anointing the borders of Fort Bend County, TX. I covered all the road and rail crossings on the northeast and southeast side, praying for the glory of the Lord to be revealed in this county and declaring the Foreword by Robert Hunt. I also decreed an end to child, human and sex trafficking. I prayed and anointed the flag poles at the Sugar Land police station & courthouse for protection and justice. Colorado and Utah We prayed for Utah and Colorado on July 17 and 18 as we flew [over them], anointing our states with oil - from the plane! Utah is my home state, I was grateful to be able to Command the Foreword, praying much from the state motto. We also prayed for the counties on the Utah border. Blessings and favor to all of you stepping up for this call to Paint Your States. Another from Utah July 2022, Salt Lake City, Utah The Lord gave a friend of mine an assignment to drive the perimeter of The Salt Lake City Valley 7 times, just as Joshua marched around Jericho. When she shared the assignment with me, I knew I was to be the driver [others joined them]. We began to drive the perimeter of the valley. We soon discovered how large it was; each drive took 4 to 6 hours, depending on how many stops we made. It took several months to complete all 7 trips. We made many declarations from Give Him 15, declarations the Lord gave to each of us, as well as declarations from Tim Sheets. It was the most powerful and transforming experience I have ever participated in. Plans for painting the borders are in process. From the Western part of the U.S. My husband Ed and I will embark on a 4500+ mile trip starting in Amarillo, Texas. We are going to Mt. Rushmore, Jackson Hole, over to the Grand Tetons, to the Olympic Peninsula, and down the coastline of California. We will spend 10 days in CA, then head home on Route 66. We will be gone 48 days and travel through 11 states, pouring out new wine and painting the borders with oil by reading the Declaration and Hunt’s decree. We had friends come over last night and pray, anointing us, our truck, and RV for the trip. Yellowstone July 24, 2023 We went through Yellowstone and came to the Continental Divide. We stopped and anointed the ground with oil, poured out new wine, and declared that the United States would not be divided by the enemy. We decreed that Holy Spirit was moving across the Continental Divide, bringing His remnant into unity, and sending them out into the harvest. Kansas Too much to share all of it, but yesterday a team from Kansas went to the geographic center of the U.S. in Lebanon, KS. There they reenacted Gina’s dream with the 8 anchors, cables, and steel rings. They laid it out at the exact center and made decrees, complete with flying the Appeal To Heaven and American flags. The Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina Border We took on Dutch’s prayer assignment today to pray over our state borders. It was an amazing 6.4-mile hike to Ellicott’s Rock! In 1811, Andrew Ellicot marked the borders of GA, SC, and NC [by carving into a large rock]. The only reason we found it (like a needle in a haystack) is because one of the women dropped her water bottle down the ridge, and when we climbed down to retrieve it, there was the rock! There are no trail markers! God is in the details. Mission accomplished! Your Workplace Recently we received a report from some friends who work in government buildings. They have taken the Paint Your State/Command the Foreword assignment into the areas where God has assigned them to work. As they walk the halls and touch the doors, they discreetly anoint, pray, and command the foreword. Because of the united prayer taking place, they felt they were to take advantage of the “window of opportunity” during this season and pray over the government buildings where they spend much of their time. What a great opportunity this is! Such amazing reports - thanks to the thousands of you who are praying. And thanks to those who are keeping track of their states on maps, posting what counties/borders have been covered and which ones still need prayer. This was so needed. And as an aid to your prayers, we have posted on the website all the state Constitution preambles. These are powerful, stating faith in God and/or asking for His assistance. Some are decreeing them over their state; you might consider this, also. Pray with me: Father, thank You for raising up a volunteer army of intercessors in our land. Thank You for the strategy You have given to protect and secure our nation. We find ourselves rejoicing, much like Deborah, who said, “The leaders led, the people volunteered, bless the Lord!” We bless You for the plan, Your great people for volunteering, and give thanks for Your mercy to this nation. We are now releasing the shout of King Jesus over America. He said “America shall be saved.” We are decreeing His words, saying the same thing. He said the destiny of America was to preach the gospel of Your Kingdom to the ends of the Earth. We are decreeing and commanding those words over every state in America. They will not return void or empty, but will accomplish the assignment He gave them. We decree now - together - over this nation: Your kingdom come! Your will be done! On earth, as in heaven! The Earth - including all of America - is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof! Christ’s name seals this prayer, and His authority guarantees it. Amen. Here’s what he says: “I awakened recently, burdened by the Holy Spirit to pray for our nation. He told me that the months of June, July, and August would lead to a time of shaking in September and beyond, which would lead us into a reset. He then reminded me of a prophetic dream I had in June of 2022 that I believe is now in its moment. “In the dream, which I will share momentarily, I had gone to pray in Washington, D.C. on July 4th and was in Lafayette Park, which is across the street from the White House. I have actually prayed there before in real life. In the dream, I felt led to go to a spot where I had actually prayed with Dutch and Ken Malone, 7 years ago (2016). On that literal prayer journey in 2016, Chuck Pierce had given us a golden vav, a stake, and prophesied, ‘Use this as a symbol. Go to Washington, D.C., drive it into the ground, and decree that we are re-staking claim to America. God will show you where to place it.’” “We had been praying for over an hour about where to place the stake and had backed up into the park, about 50 yards or so from the front fence of the White House, when we saw a guy coming towards us. As he got closer, I said, ‘Guys, that’s an angel! “He kept coming but didn't make eye contact. He simply walked in front of us, 2 or 3 feet away, and said six times: ‘Mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy.’ And kept walking. “Dutch said, ‘We gotta talk to him!’ We looked for him, but he was gone. Well, it didn’t take a genius to know what we were gonna pray. We started asking God for His mercy!” “So, back to the June 2022 dream. In the dream, I’m thinking, I’m going to stand where that angel spoke to us. And I went to that spot. As I stood there praying (again, in the dream), looking at the White House, I saw a guy, maybe 100 yards or so away. He was carrying a tree trunk about a foot and a half in diameter and around 12 feet long! And I'm thinking in the dream, He’s carrying a tree trunk! There's no way a human can carry a 12 foot long tree trunk. That can't be…he can’t be a human! This has to be an angel. “As he came closer and closer to me, I could see that it was, indeed, an angel. He was a very, very big angel with muscles rippling all over, and he carried the log under one arm as he approached. Stopping directly in front of me, he stood still, staring at me. “In the dream, I finally asked the obvious, ‘Why are you carrying that tree trunk?’ “And he answered me in the language and demeanor of a soldier, which was very telling. ‘Sir, it’s not a tree trunk. It’s a battering ram.’ “‘Well,’ I said, ‘What are you going to do with it, soldier?’ I knew to call him ‘soldier’ because of the way he spoke. “He responded, ‘There are four of us surrounding the White House. We’re here to break down Lucifer's barriers that protect Baal’s roots.’ “I said to him, ‘Well, why did you…why did you come and reveal that to me?’ “Then he said, ‘Sir, permission to proceed?’ I responded, ‘Soldier, proceed.’” (End of dream.) “Since this dream, the seraphim order of angels has been revealed to me. Seraphim are the most powerful angels, and recently I realized that the angel carrying the battering ram was a seraph. These angels are being led by Holy Spirit, fueled by millions of prayers, decrees and proclamations of God’s Word, and are now hearkening to bring these prayers and decrees to pass. In this dream, I was representing the body of Christ, the Ekklesia. It is time for the Ekklesia to declare, ‘proceed.’ “After some time spent praying into this, Holy Spirit reminded me of the following prophecy which I also believe is in its moment: “The Lord says, ‘I am releasing my Mighty ones to break up entrenched evils. They will strike the forever loser and his protections of diabolical root systems in America’s capital and in the state capitals. Michael will release, in sufficient numbers, war angels to unlock this nation and break barrier walls. Cover-ups will be uncovered. Taunting giants who oppose God will fall. Strongholds of darkness will be battered and their influence shattered. My angels are merging with My people to break the forces of evil in Washington, D.C. My unshakable Kingdom will rise in waves of ‘power strategies’ that will bring My covenant roots into alignment. Hear the sound of My Kingdom battering rams resounding against wicked strategies of Baal’s systems. The abominations will not stand,’ says the Lord. ‘For overwhelming might will come to bear upon covenant-breakers seeking to destroy My purpose for the land. “‘A war season, very fierce, will soon begin. Engage and win it with My power, released through prayer, decrees of faith, and worship warfare. Know that an agitated spirit realm will stir violence in the natural realm. But I will send fresh power from heaven to resource My remnant, and fresh fire will be seen in the King’s glorious presence upon their altars. My glory will hover over them, manifesting My support. In this war season, the functioning Ekklesia, My glorious church, will rise to operate in higher levels of authority. Its advance will be rapid. Rapid strikes will be released against hindering spirits, government tyranny, and cultural systemic evils. “‘The world will see the deployment of heaven’s Kingdom Ekklesias and heaven’s angel armies. This will suddenly and aggressively be revealed. The world will see the fierceness of hell’s battle against My Kingdom, superseded by the fierceness of My wrath against their allegiance to Baal. My fierce deployment of 5-fold ministries and the saints - My church - will now engage. My intercessors will deploy on strike missions against hell’s dominion in ways and numbers not seen before. Angels of glory will deploy on their strike missions. Yes, the striking power of My Kingdom will activate in My war season. Do not fear the war season, anticipate the victories! Iniquitous roots will wither under this deployment as power and authority elevates in the King’s remnant and justice is ministered righteously. The withering of hell’s kingdom will be seen in indisputable ways, for the heirs of Kingdom authority are being seated in their places of influence, and their angels are aligning with their assignments. “‘For the Lord of hosts makes this immutable promise, I will answer hell’s challenge. I will answer the world’s mocking. A new breed of eager champions are hearing the sound of marching. The battle will be engaged and great victories will be wrought. ‘For know,’ says the Lord of Hosts, ‘in this war season, the influence of My Kingdom is amping up. I will amplify My voice on the earth. I will amplify the voice of My church and My heirs. My gospel and truth will be amplified. My angels are working to amplify the efforts of My Kingdom. I have issued the order, “Amp it up.”’ “In the next month and a half leading up to September, at which time a great shaking will lead to a reset, be strong and declare your confidence in God’s guaranteed promises. A move of God is now in process and it will not be stopped.” Pray with me: Lord, we declare our confidence in You and we stand strong upon Your promises. Open the door of heaven for angels to ascend and descend, mobilize Your angels across the land. Let the corruption that is hidden in government be exposed. Let it be battered, shattered, and scattered by the Kingdom of Almighty God. Accelerate confusion into the camp of the adversary. We declare a boldness will rise upon us to say what You say without fear or intimidation. We declare the will of the Lord will be done. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. Our decree: Angels, proceed! While in worship, I heard Him say, “I am bringing you full circle.” As I contemplated this, I was convinced the "you" was plural - not just me, but we, the body of Christ. As I continued meditating on this, Holy Spirit gave me a vision; I was looking down from heaven to earth and could see what appeared to be a circle being drawn on the ground. I was then moved from above to a side view. From this perspective, I could now see that it wasn’t actually a flat circle on the ground, but a spiral upward, like a giant coil. Using this visual as a picture, the Lord said to me, “Full circle, higher level. I have now taken the church to a new level. She will do things she has done before, but at higher levels of effectiveness. Authority and power will be released, but at higher levels. Another season of miracles will be released…revelation will be imparted…revival is coming…all at higher levels. Full circle, higher level.” I mentioned this in a message a short time later, and a man approached me after the service. "I am a Spirit-filled, Messianic Jewish rabbi,” he said. “I found your picture and comments regarding the circle interesting. This is very similar to what we Jews believe regarding time, and a related word in the Hebrew language." Continuing, he said, "Do you know what the word ‘testimony’ means in Hebrew?” I answered, "No, I have never actually studied that." "Well,” he said, “the root word for 'testimony' means, 'to repeat; to do again,’ or 'do time again.' It does not mean only to 'tell about or give witness of something.’” As clearly as I can recall, he continued by saying, “It’s like time is pregnant with God’s words and power. The Everlasting God places the power to do or accomplish something into time, and it is forever there. His words are eternal, alive, and powerful (Psalm 119:89; Hebrews 4:12). Through His laws, principles, and Word, we can tap into this power. Declaring what He has done in the past is one of the ways we do so. “So, we believe that when one declares God’s Word or shares what He did in the past, a testimony, the same power is released to ‘do it again’ today. That's why we believe it's so important to tell our children what God did in the past, and why God was angry with Israel when they neglected to teach them Israel’s history. For example, we believe that when we tell our children about the exodus - how God delivered Israel from Egypt at Passover through great signs and wonders - the same power is released again. Our children receive the power of Passover and deliverance. We believe this power can be released again, and again, and again, and again.” And I was just, well, speechless. But he wasn’t finished. "We have actually begun acting on this by sending people who have been supernaturally healed to other sick people - repeatedly; all they do is share their testimony of healing. And people are being healed!” My head was spinning. But he STILL wasn’t finished! He then spoke of time in relationship to this. “We don’t measure time in a linear fashion as Westerners do, as in a timeline. We see time as cyclical, like the circle you saw, and we believe God does things in cycles. We actually believe that as time cycles annually, and we reach the time of year when God did something in history, it’s easier to tap into the power again. During the time of Israel's feasts, for example, we believe it’s easier to tap into what God ‘placed’ in that feast-time.” To say he set me on a quest would be an understatement. I set out to discover if these things were true. I’m still not certain I understand all of it, but I have at least been able to confirm some of what he said. I studied the Hebrew word for testimony, eduwth/eduth, and sure enough, the root word (ud or uwd) means, “repeat or do again.” The lexicon said It refers to “the continuance of a past event.” For this reason, the Arabic words for “return” and “habit” come from this same root. (1) As I considered all of this, I realized we have had elements of this concept in our Christian faith, but haven't fully understood it. We preach the gospel, which is “the power of God unto salvation” (Romans 1:16). We know power is released when we re-tell the gospel story - the same power to save, deliver, and heal that was generated at Calvary 2000 years ago. The power is there, just waiting to be released. Many believe, and I am one of them, that when we eat the bread and drink the cup of Communion, the same power that came forth at Calvary should be released to us again. We are to “partake of” it, which is what the word for communion actually means (koinonia) (2). Sadly, many have not been taught this, and therefore, do not activate their faith to receive it. I believe the power remains in this covenantal act, however, and when we “testify” of Christ’s sacrifice, mixed with faith, power is released. I found myself wondering: maybe this is why the Bible says, “We overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of our TESTIMONY!” (Revelation 12:11). Perhaps this is why it is important that "The redeemed of the Lord SAY SO!" (Psalm 107:2). Command the Foreword Could this be why God told us to “command the foreword?” I believe it is. When we testify of His past works and words in our nation (or our lives, of course), the power is released again. Paul told Timothy when he was facing great opposition and discouragement: “This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that BY THEM you fight the good fight” (I Timothy 1:18, emphasis mine). Fascinating. Use the prophecies spoken over you with which to war spiritually. Isaiah 55:11 tells us prophecies from God have “assignments” in them: ”So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them” (The Message). “Do the work” is the word asah in Hebrew, one of the primary Old Testament words for create. (3) “My words have creative power,” God is saying. “And they will do what I have assigned them to do.” When we with faith read Robert Hunt’s God-given prophecy over America, it releases God’s power and the assignment His words carry. When we read the inspired covenantal words of America’s Founders - in the Declaration, the Constitution, the State Constitutions, their prayers, etc - we are releasing God’s power and the synergy of the ages. Why else would satan fight to distort and rob us of our godly history? Why else would he fight the principle of decreeing God’s written Word and prophetic words? If this did nothing, he would want us to waste our time doing so. Stay the course! Pray with me: Forever, oh Lord, Your Word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). Your words are just as powerful today as they were when You first spoke them. They are alive and powerful (Hebrews 4:12), spirit and life, (John 6:63). They never return void, empty, or fruitless, but always accomplish their assignments (Isaiah 55:11). They are seeds, containing reproductive, multiplicative power (Matthew 13:37; 1 Peter 1:23). Your words produce faith (Romans 10:17), multiplied fruit (Matthew 13:23), and victory in battle (I Timothy 1:18; Ephesians 6:17). When we speak them, we are not demanding from You, but honoring You, demonstrating our trust. Therefore, we commit ourselves to command Your Word in order to produce life, to defeat satan and his plans against our lives, families, states, and nations. We will release them to accomplish the victory of Calvary: We declare that the gospel will go forth from these shores to every tribe, tongue, and nation on earth. We declare that America exists to preach the gospel of the Kingdom to all nations - and will do so. We declare that as all other kingdoms, systems, anti-Christ plans and activities are shaken down, Your Kingdom will stand. We know that the coming shaking is Your mercy to turn America back to You and Your purposes, in order that hundreds of millions of people here and around the world be saved. We declare that America’s borders are protected from every satanic plan to destroy this nation. All of these things we say, ask, and seal in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. 5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-26-2023 July 26, 2023 Say What God Says Yesterday, we talked about the power of decreeing and declaring what God has said in the past, and also of relating his past works. Testimonies are powerful. We said there is power in His words, and the power remains (Tuesday's post). Today I want to develop this a little further to encourage you, as you “command the foreword” over our nation. Many Greek words simply cannot be fully translated into one English word. The Greeks used to brag that with their intricate language, they could say more in one word than any other could in an entire sentence. The pictorial Hebrew language is much the same - how do you describe the details and nuances of a picture in one word? This is why I do biblical word studies, and it’s why amplified and expanded translations are helpful. At times, one English word is used to translate several Greek words. We have written and spoken often of “time,” for instance, which is used to translate several Greek words, all with different meanings. Without knowing which Greek word was used - kairos? chronos? horaios? - it is often impossible to fully understand what Holy Spirit is saying. This is the case when discussing “God’s Word.” Four different Greek nouns are translated as a “word,” all having different nuances of meaning. Three of the four are used to describe the Word/s of God. One refers to written words (graphe) (1) and is also translated as “Scripture/s,” the written Word of God. Another is rhema,(2) which refers to spoken words. The words many of you are reading along with me are graphe; the words you are hearing me speak are rhemas. The third word is logos,(3) which means word/s, as well, but includes the message they are communicating. This is why we get our English words “logic” and “logical” from logos - because it includes the message, the understanding, the reasoning. Obviously, one can read or hear words and not truly understand them. When this occurs, the words are not yet logos, but are still only graphe or rhema. With this meaning, it is easy to see why Jesus was called “the Logos of God” (John 1:1). He did not merely speak words about God, life, truth, etc.; He WAS the message, embodying and revealing God, life, truth, etc., to us. He IS the message, He IS God revealed! This brings me to an important biblical word I want to define today, which describes what we are doing as we “command the foreword.” The word is homologia. (4) The first half comes from homou, (5) which means “same” or “together.” The second part of the word comes from logos. Homologia is usually translated as “confession” or “profession,” but neither of these words does it justice. A better translation would be either “say the same words,” or “say the same thing.” Yet, this still isn’t enough to fully understand homologia. In order to do so, we need to amplify it to “understand, agree with, and say the same thing.” Our “confession” of faith in God’s Word (Hebrews 10:23), and our “confession” of faith in Christ’s redemptive work when we were born again (Romans 10:10), literally mean “understanding, agreeing with, and saying what God says.” When we do so, His power is released! Many thousands of intercessors believe and are saying the same thing God said about America, both about our original purpose and our restoration of this. They are commanding the foreword, and decreeing that “America shall be saved.” A growing remnant of the Ekklesia - the church - now understands our authority in Christ, as well as our responsibility to use it. They have sharpened their swords and are ready to agree with Him, saying the same logos He has said. Here is still another principle that will encourage you as you “command the foreword.” For most of my life, I wondered why the Old Testament said, "God remembered…" I’ve always thought, He never forgets anything, so how could He remember? And why would He tell us in Isaiah 43:26: "Put Me in remembrance...” Why would we need to remind God? Then I studied the Hebrew word for "remember." My lexicon said the Hebrew word "remember" doesn't just mean "to recall." It said, “Remembering is not merely a recalling of the past but is also a call to action.” (6) Finally, the concept made sense. Of course, God doesn’t need us to help Him by pulling something out of His memory, as though He forgot about it. He wants US to recall His promises and ask HIM to do them. For example, this Hebrew concept of remembering would be like a person building their dream home. They have dreamed, planned, and promised themselves for years that they would one day do so, saved their money, and waited for the right time. He or she hasn’t “forgotten” about it; it’s always there in “the back of their mind.” The timing, however, for various reasons, just hasn’t been right. Then they realize it’s time, and begin thinking about it, “remembering” the house, not because they had forgotten about it, but because it is now time to build. They buy the land, if they haven’t already done so, have the plans drawn, get the permits, hire the builder, and build the house! That is “remember”! The Lord “remembered” Hannah, barrenness was broken off her, and she conceived (1 Samuel 1:19). Samson repented; God then said He “remembered” him, and his strength returned (Judges 16:28). God said He “remembered” His promise to Abraham, and the exodus process began (Exodus 2:24). When it’s the right time, and yes, sometimes that timing hinges upon our actions, God “remembers,” engaging His creative mind and power, and releases His great power and ability. In fact, one of the Hebrew words for “create” actually comes from the word for “think or imagine.” Individuals, including God, think about, dream of, or imagine something, then create it (Hebrew yetser and yatsar). As we “command the foreword” over America, saying what God said regarding our destiny and purpose, we are asking Him to remember and do it. We’ve heard Him saying it’s time for restoration and a heavenly reset of HIS decreed purposes. We’re declaring that we understand what He said about our nation, that we agree with it, and we will say the same thing. Pray with me: Father, You have given us Your Word, the Scriptures, to reveal Your will, nature, and ways. You have given us Holy Spirit to instruct us in Your word, revealing its meanings and bringing it to life. This produces revelation and faith in us, and reproduces Your life. And when we agree with You, saying what You have said, it releases the power of Your words in our decrees and prayers. It also honors and pleases You when we believe and say Your words. You also give us prophetic insight and words through Holy Spirit. He enables us to discern the times and seasons; He guides and directs us in our lives, prayers, and decisions. He has shown us that we must cover our borders with prayer and command the foreword You wrote for America. We are doing so. Now we ask You to remember and do! Use our decrees, which carry Your power, to release life, protect our land, stave off evil, and overthrow wickedness. Restore, rebuild, and reset until America is ablaze with holy fire. Do so until America burns with passion to carry the gospel of the Kingdom to the ends of the Earth. Overthrow evil. Remove corruption in our government, whatever it takes. Save America, as You have said You will. We ask these things in Christ’s all-powerful name. Amen. Our decree: We declare that as we understand and say what God says, His infinite power is released to accomplish His purposes. It’s been a while since I’ve shared with you, so I asked Dutch if I could take a day to spend some time with you. He’s in the office working on a wonderful teaching you’ll be hearing next week - it’s one of my favorites. I want to share from my heart today. Here we find ourselves in 2023, after having lived through a worldwide pandemic, and for me, I spent 2022 dealing with the greatest health challenge I’ve ever experienced. I don’t think there was anyone who wasn’t touched by the pandemic in one way or another. We are now all on the other side of these situations, getting reacquainted with life - going to restaurants, taking vacations, and such. Although we have weathered the non-stop hand sanitizer, the constant wearing of masks, and all the other extenuating circumstances, the thing I missed the most during those years, was gathering together with other believers. Our church stayed closed much longer than we had hoped, and to be honest, nothing was the same afterward. Personally, I have been pretty dry, even starved, as it were, for presence-driven worship and fellowship with like-minded believers. So, last week I did something about it. I went to a conference led by our friend, Cindy Jacobs - The Deborah Company Conference, in Dallas, TX. Because of my illness in 2022 and the pandemic, I hadn’t been to a conference or attended anything like it in quite a few years. I know there are other great conferences and churches I could visit, but I felt that Holy Spirit had something for me in Dallas, and He did. Some of my friends whom I’d not seen in years also attended this particular conference, so there were lots of hugs as well as amazing speakers. For me, there’s nothing like worshipping - being in God’s presence with other believers. The room roared as like-minded hearts worshipped Jesus together. It ministered to my soul. Hebrews 10:25 in the Passion Translation says: “This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward…” I came home with my cup full. I also came home with my heart challenged. Through the speakers, I heard about women who are involved in helping young girls (and children) get out of human trafficking. The movie, The Sound of Freedom, is in theaters right now. It’s the story of Tim Ballard, a man who was gripped by the need to help those imprisoned in human trafficking. Sad to say, this is an epidemic, not just in the world but in our country, as well. Although these situations make us feel helpless, there are things we can do to help people get free. I also met a lovely woman who is the wife of the president of one of the African nations. This dear lady, who is a strong believer, shared her story about going to every state in her nation, having a local meeting, and praying for her people. This first lady wasn’t concerned about her social standing or even her safety. Her heart was broken for their people, wanting to do whatever she could to help them. However, she knew that help begins in the spirit realm. We don’t have to look very far to see the dire needs within our own country. It’s not the same place it was even five years ago. Dutch, my favorite teacher, does a masterful job of teaching us that we are in a spiritual war and have tools - spiritual tools with which to battle the enemy. Even though the needs in some places within our country are dire, we must encourage ourselves and tell ourselves the truth: we are not without hope. While the news outlets want us to believe evil has won, that’s just not true. John 16:33 (TPT) tells us: “And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in Me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in Me. For in this unbelieving world, you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!”” Romans 8:37 (TPT): “Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and His demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!” And one of my favorite verses: “Never let evil defeat you, but defeat evil with good” Romans 12:21 (TPT). There are ways we can help with human trafficking. This has gripped many of our hearts, and it should. Give to a ministry that IS on the front lines helping rescue these women and men - they need funds to do what they do, and they must have your prayers. Pray for them - pray that evil will be uncovered and exposed. And pray for their protection. My challenge to all of us today is not to stand still. Do something. The pandemic seemed to paralyze us, making us want to stay at home and not get involved in anything! We have been taunted by fear if we get involved in anything. But today, I’m issuing a call - even a summons. We are good at praying - and we definitely need prayer - but we must also DO. Ask Holy Spirit where you are to serve. We all feel comfortable serving in our local church. Without us realizing it, however, we have formed a subconscious response. If the needy come to church, we will be there for them - help in any way we can. But let’s be real. They are not coming to the church. Jesus went to them, and so should we. It’s time to get uncomfortable. Tell yourself the truth - You (me/we) are all part of the solution; now, let’s do it. We are already dissatisfied with what we see - the needs are great. But maybe He is asking you to really get uncomfortable, possibly even to run for the local school board (which, by the way, is one of the easiest places to get elected). You don’t have to currently have children in school to be on these boards. Maybe you can help out at a food bank, a clothing distribution center, or a local ministry that helps within your city or county. We have one in our area - run by a single mom - who helps the migrant workers in our area, making sure their children have backpacks and school supplies, as well as a gift at Christmas. They help in many other ways, as well. These ministries are in your cities - and the needs are endless. When you ask Him, Holy Spirit will show you where and how to help. We are His hands; we are His feet - every single day - maybe through just a hug or a kind word. As Holy Spirit leads, ask if you can pray with those you come in contact with - He can give you a word of knowledge (1 Corinthians 12:8-11) that will open the door to you being able to share Christ and His love with them. Years ago, we moved into a new neighborhood. I baked loaves of banana bread, cut them in half, wrapped them nicely, and tied each one with a lovely ribbon. Dutch and I went door to door to each house on our street, introduced ourselves, told them where we lived, and extended our friendship. One lady almost didn’t open the door when we knocked. She said, “I’ve heard about people doing this, but I’ve never seen it done before.” There are many ways we can extend our friendship, our knowledge and wisdom, our service, and our prayers. Allow Holy Spirit to strengthen you while in your quiet times with Him. Ask Him how and where He would like for you to represent Him. Maybe He is asking you to get involved in your local government. Perhaps it is praying over a map of your city, county, region, or nation while at your kitchen table. We must have prayers because they fuel everything else we do. Today, God is asking some of you to be courageous and obedient - our time of sitting in our homes is over. It’s time to use what God has given us, and be brave. Pray with me: Father, I thank You for my friends who are here with me today. Thank You for their desire to know and serve You. We are all on the same team - fighting for our families, our cities, and our nation. We link arms today and agree together for Your Spirit to sweep over our land. Lord, these areas You’ve given us - the things You ask us to pray for, the places where You ask us to go, the assignments where You ask us to serve - we do it with Your strength, and boldly ask for Your wisdom. Fill us with Your Spirit. Help us to represent You well. In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-20-2023 July 20, 2023 God Always Outwits the Crafty One One of the important aspects of prophetic intercession is to serve as watchmen. The praying church is maturing in this understanding. Adam was actually assigned to be a watchman. He was told in Genesis 2:15 to “keep” (Hebrew: shamar)(1) - guard, protect, preserve - the garden of Eden. Shamar is one of the primary words for watchman in Scripture. Adam’s assignment to protect the garden had to be related to the serpent. Before the Fall, the only possible thing Adam could have needed to protect it from was the serpent. There were no other threats or enemies. The first mention of satan in Scripture (Genesis 3:1) describes him as being more “crafty” than any other creature. The word used (arum),(2) comes from a Hebrew word (aram),(3) meaning smooth or bare. God was telling Adam that satan was slick, smooth, cunning, wily. Watch him! Applying this to all of us, our biblical assignment as watchmen is to protect our “gardens” from the crafty serpent. Adam failed in this assignment. Israel also failed at times to guard against satan’s craftiness; yesterday I highlighted one of those occasions. I chose this incident with the Gibeonites because the same word used to describe satan’s craftiness was used to describe this people. Israel was deceived by the crafty Gibeonites into entering a covenant relationship with them (Joshua 9:4). Though they were a local people, they dressed in old, worn clothes, making it appear that they had come from a distant land, wanting to make a covenant with them [the Israelites] (Joshua 9:3-15). This incident clearly symbolizes or pictures all humankind being deceived by the craftiness of the serpent, thereby aligning with him. (You can learn more about this in Wednesday's post.) Covenants were sacred in those days, an agreement Israel could not just back out of or ignore. This covenant, in fact, was so binding that a short time later Joshua and Israel honored it by defending the Gibeonites in war! (Joshua10). Another proof of its sacredness can be seen many years later during David’s reign over Israel. His generation was experiencing a severe curse of famine (2 Samuel 21). When David asked the Lord about the root or cause of this curse, he was told it was because his predecessor, King Saul, had broken the covenant with the Gibeonites. David had to make amends. That…was the strength of covenant! Although the deceptive covenant with the cunning Gibeonites could not be broken, God decided to use it to paint an important picture. Through this crafty scheme, He would demonstrate that His infinite wisdom far exceeds satan’s craftiness; He would use it to picture 1 Corinthians 3:19: “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God. For it is written: ‘He is the one who catches the wise by their craftiness’” (NASB). As you will see, God’s play on words here is amazing. “Catches” is the Greek word drassomai,(4) which means “to entrap or capture.” No surprise there. It comes from drakon,(5) which means “a dragon or great serpent,” because that’s what dragons and serpents do to their prey: they catch, entrap, or capture them. Still no surprise. But drakon is also one of satan’s names, used of him twelve times in the book of Revelation (12:3, 4, 7, 9, 13, 16, 17; 13:2, 4, 11; 16:13 and 20:2). God actually uses one of satan’s own names, “serpent,” the very name associated with his craftiness, when describing how He outwits and traps him! “My wisdom is so great,” God is saying in this verse, “that I entrap the crafty serpent using his own craftiness!” Now, back to Joshua. God decided to illustrate this and hide a picture of the Cross in the Gibeonite situation. The “crafty” Gibeonites would picture the “crafty” serpent. Joshua was instructed by the Lord to make them, “Hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation and for the altar of the Lord” (Joshua 9:27). Use them to make preparations for the atoning sacrifices, Joshua. The altar of the Lord, where the blood of atonement was shed, symbolized the Cross. By using the “crafty” Gibeonites to prepare the wood and altar for the atoning sacrifices, God was demonstrating what He would one day do with “crafty” satan: use him to make preparations for the ultimate atoning sacrifice: Christ’s crucifixion. Get the whip ready, satan. Gather the spikes, weave the crown, hew the wooden cross. The all-wise God would use satan’s “craftiness” to orchestrate his own demise! ONLY GOD! This Old Testament occurrence is an incredible assurance that God can reverse the subtleties of our adversary - the dragon, the serpent - and use them against him. Through God's amazing grace and wisdom, which always supersedes Satan's subtlety, even our mistakes can be used to bless us, to work for our good (Romans 8.28). Today The serpent’s crafty enslavement of America will backfire on him. A generation of young people will be shown that they are being robbed of their destiny through lies about God and truth. They will be shown that their pain, disillusionment, loss of identity and purpose, have actually come from satan and his lying voices. Events will be orchestrated by Yahweh that allow them to taste of His goodness and love. This will forever “ruin” them to all other sources of fulfillment. The destructive lies and deception they were fed will fill them with righteous indignation, fuel the flames of holy passion, and make them the most devastating generation to the kingdom of darkness the world has ever seen. Others will also taste and see God’s goodness, then turn on satan. Drug addicts and dealers will become powerful deliverers of the bound. Terrorists, like Paul, will become apostles and evangelists. Slave traders like John Newton(6) will become pastors of abolitionists - as he became for William Wilberforce,(7) the greatest abolitionist in history; they’ll write anthems like Newton’s Amazing Grace, the most often sung testimony in history. Do not doubt it: for every venomous bite of the serpent, God has the antidote. For every crafty plan, He has a redemptive strategy. The Cross oozes the anti-venom, life-giving blood of Christ. It cleanses from ALL sin and unrighteousness - former sins cannot even be seen through it. It changes natures and eradicates sinful DNA, replacing it with God’s divine nature. The blood of Jesus heals every wound, restores dreaming natures, and puts new songs in hearts. The power of the Cross exposes every serpentine plan and releases God’s wise, pre-planned victory strategies. Prayer, offered through faith in Christ’s sacrifice, releases this. Humble appeals, offered from repentant and faith-filled hearts, releases the very salvation of God. Watchmen have been awakened, the sleeping giant has been roused, and the ambassadorial representatives of Christ are beginning to release His authority. The borders of homes, cities, states, and nations are being painted, restoring the garden. The foreword is being commanded, releasing God-given destinies from the archives of heaven…and the great Dragon-Slayer is taking action. As Founder Samuel Adams stated, “We have appealed to Heaven for the justice of our cause, and in Heaven we have placed our trust.”(8) Keep appealing and decreeing, church. It worked then, and it will work now. Pray with me: Father, You are great and greatly to be praised. You perform wondrous works, Your wisdom is without measure, Your love is boundless - truly there is no one like You. Thank You for loving us unconditionally, even while we were Your enemies. We love You because You first loved us. The Cross is the ultimate proof that You are able to capture the serpent with his own craftiness. We appeal for this regarding our nation/s, asking You to once again turn the tables on the crafty serpent. Break America’s covenant with death through the power of the Cross. Use satan’s plans, oppression, lies, addictions, deceptions - all of his actions - as part of the awakening. Expose him for who he is: a vicious hater, thief, killer, and destroyer. Raise up more watchmen to cover, decree and appeal. Give us greater understanding, discernment and revelation of our authority to do this. May a functioning Ekklesia swell to hundreds of millions around the world, those who know how to keep the serpent out of their gardens. Use their prayers to release truth, deliverance, salvation, and revival. Use them to raise up revivalists, deliverers, reformers, nation-changers and culture-reformers. This is Your will, we ask in Christ’s name, therefore it will occur. Amen - so be it. Coyote There are three words in the Old Testament translated as “watchman.” Some definitions of these words are: Pay attention, listen Beware, be aware Be on the alert, stay awake, remain sober Observe, be observant; see or behold. Watchmen must pay attention, be aware, remain alert, and be wary. If not, our ignorance can give our adversary a distinct advantage: “So that no advantage would be taken of us by satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.” (2 Corinthians 2:11) Webster defines wary as "on one's guard, on the lookout for danger or trickery.” We are NOT to fear our enemy, satan, but we ARE to be aware of him and his subtleties. In my book Intercessory Prayer, I describe what theologians call “the law of first mention.” Generally speaking, the first time a major subject is mentioned in the Bible, significant facts are given concerning it that will remain consistent and relevant throughout the Scriptures. For example, the first mention of the serpent (satan) is in Genesis 3:1: “Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, ‘Indeed, has God said, “You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?"’” It is easy to see this law of first mention at work here when God first speaks of satan. He emphasizes the serpent’s subtlety or craftiness. God is informing us of the most important thing we must know regarding satan: He is far more dangerous to us as the crafty serpent than the roaring lion. "Crafty" is the Hebrew word aruwm, taken from aram, which means "to be bare or smooth.”(1) We use this same concept in our English language. Someone who is crafty or wily is often referred to as “slick” or “a smooth operator.” Such is the case with satan. He is slick, very cunning, and we must be wary of his deceptions, for he is always seeking to steal, kill, and destroy (see John 10:10), and does so with great skill. Adam was not sufficiently wary of the serpent in the garden. He heard and saw him, but was not watchful, paying attention. Therefore, he was unaware of satan’s strategy. Had he been alert, God would have warned him of the attack; He would never have given Adam an assignment He did not enable him to accomplish. Through this lack of alertness, Adam allowed satan to violate his garden. The devil is after our "gardens," as well: our families, homes, marriages, churches, cities, nations, etc. Our first responsibility as watchmen is to keep the devil’s influence out of the garden! In his book, First Things First, A. Roger Merrill shares a poignant story about gardening: “Some time ago, a friend of mine - a business consultant - was moving into his new home, and decided to hire a friend to landscape the grounds. She had a doctorate in horticulture and was extremely knowledgeable. “He had a great vision for the grounds, but because he was very busy and traveled a lot, he kept emphasizing to her the need to create his garden in a way that would require little or no maintenance on his part. He pointed out the absolute necessity of automatic sprinklers and other labor-saving devices… “Finally, she stopped him and said, ‘Fred, I can see what you're saying. But there's one thing you need to deal with before we go any further: If there's no gardener, there's no garden!’”(2) Watchmen are gardeners! When there is no gardener, there is no garden! We must determine to protect, watch over, and maintain our gardens. The same word used to describe satan, “crafty,” is used in Joshua 9:4, to describe a plan the Gibeonite people used to deceive Israel: "They also acted craftily, set out as envoys, and took worn-out sacks on their donkeys, and wineskins worn-out and torn and mended” (NASB). The King James Version says they acted "wilily." The KJV also uses the word in Ephesians 6:11: "Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Some of you will remember Wile E. Coyote in the cartoon, Road Runner. In his devious cunning, Wile E. Coyote was continually conceiving new ways to try and capture Road Runner. Road Runner always managed to escape, however, and Wile E. Coyote's evil plans often boomeranged back on him. God has similar plans for Wile E. Serpent. His desire is always for us to be protected from the serpent’s schemes and for them to backfire on him. Let’s look further at what occurred between Israel and the wily Gibeonites. The Wily Gibeonites The Gibeonites were one of the Canaanite tribes that Joshua and Israel were supposed to dispossess. However, through their crafty plan, they deceived the Israelites into believing they were a different people who had come from a far country to enter into a covenant with them. Joshua and the people neglected to pray, asking Yahweh about this - always a part of satan's subtlety. The serpent's entry into their garden was progressing wonderfully; the watchmen were asleep. The Israelites were not without warning. In Exodus 34:12, Israel was told: "Watch yourself that you make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are going, or it will become a snare in your midst." The Israelites failed in their responsibility to watch, and just as the verse warned, they were ensnared. We can conclude from the Israelites' suspicion of the Gibeonites that God was trying to alert Israel. Joshua 9:7 says: "The men of Israel said to the Hivites [Gibeonites], ‘Perhaps you are living within our land; how then shall we make a covenant with you?’" Rather than heeding this “check” or caution, however, the Israelites acted on what they saw on their own understanding. They were not wary, paying attention, watching, and were deceived into a forbidden covenantal alliance. Many years ago, as far back as the 1960s, the wily serpent launched an elaborate plan to defile our garden, America: He would steal our freedoms and destiny under the guise of enforcing them; he would erode and pervert our Constitution by pretending to protect it; and he would weaken the church through a provision in the Constitution that was meant to protect religious freedom (the separation myth). And because the church had no effective prayer movement - actually very little understanding of intercession - there was no spiritual defense mounted. The results were that God was removed from government and education (1964); shortly after this, the shedding of innocent blood was legalized by the highest court in the land (1973); and our rejection of God and His ways produced a movement of rebellion, sexual depravity, and drug addiction. America was in covenant with the Gibeanites, and the downward spiral never stopped. The reaping from this has been horrifying. A merciful shaking is now coming to finish this reaping process and turn the hearts of Americans back to God and our roots. We, watchmen and intercessors in our land, are part of this process. Our prayers are protecting America from total destruction while causing the shaking that will produce a reset. Please don’t stop. We have come too far and accomplished too much, nearing incredible victories. Here’s a little encouragement from “Paint Your State” borders of Georgia and “commanding America’s foreword” there. “I want to give you an update about the coast of Georgia…last week, Leslie and I, two pastors and two intercessors, started at the Georgia/Florida line and went up the coast on Interstate 95 to the Georgia/South Carolina line…110 miles…we stopped at every exit. I read Robert Hunt’s covenant at every stop. We declared the words GOD spoke to us, prayed, and anointed the ground…Confirming prophecies came in service Sunday…one after another…undeniable confirmations…we saw a shift that moved the whole congregation…Portals were opened, Holy Spirit fell in a way I haven’t seen in a long time…it was amazing…He’s moving…the best is yet to come…I believe you will get to hear about what God does on the coast of Georgia…God bless you and thank you for your obedience…” (Johnny Taylor) Oh, and by the way, God is never outwitted by “the crafty one.” Tomorrow I will tell you how He turned the tables on satan in the Gibeanite situation. Pray with me: Father, when Adam and Eve fell in the garden, You did not abandon them. Instead, You lovingly covered them, continued to provide for them, and declared - hidden in a prophetic mystery - how You would crush the serpent’s newly gained headship over the human race and the earth. Calvary’s explosive deliverance crushed satan’s authority over all the earth, and delivered humankind from his authority. Your body, the Ekklesia, is now Your enforcer of this crushing blow. Obviously, we do not do so perfectly, but we are growing in our understanding of this partnership with You. As we take our positions in our garden, America, we thank You for the grassroots movement of volunteers, and we thank You for directing us. Strengthen us. Guide us. And demonstrate to the world Your merciful, redemptive hand, as You reset America and reap earth’s greatest harvest. To You, we give all the praise. In our Redeemer’s name, Jesus Christ, we pray this. Amen. She archives the prophetic words we receive personally, as well as words given to the church in general, which we might want to reference later. Recently, she was led to look back at two prophecies given by my brother, Tim Sheets, a few years ago. “I believe we are seeing them fulfilled RIGHT NOW,” she said. I remember when Tim released these words on back-to-back Sundays; they are extremely powerful. I shared one yesterday, and am releasing the second today. This word speaks of a great Kingdom “surge” by Holy Spirit in this season, producing power, revival, and reformation. I believe this has already begun on the earth. Holy Spirit also speaks of “a new breed of remnant warriors.” This is not implying that we are the greatest Kingdom generation that has existed…that we’re the best warriors God has ever had. A walk down memory lane of history would remind us of many great warriors from the past. God even uses some of them as examples of what will be seen in us, which obviously means we’re not better than them. Holy Spirit is saying that increased numbers, tools, and revelation in the church will enable Him to do new and unprecedented things on earth. I also believe the phrase is used to distinguish the coming brand of Kingdom warrior from the passive and ineffective church of the past few years. The word speaks of revival fire - “vortexes of tornadic fire” - coming to awaken people and silence God’s enemies. The Lord speaks of the release of revivalists and reformers - “regulators of culture” - versus those who are conformed and shaped by it. It has been said of the last generation of American Christians that we became a subculture, rather than a counterculture. Although the church was assigned by Christ to “disciple nations” (Matthew 28:18-20), in many ways, this generation of believers was discipled BY our nation. This prophecy is loaded with powerful promises and announcements of what Holy Spirit says is beginning. As always, all militancy and warfare spoken of is a spiritual war, not physical violence to hurt people. I encourage you to read it a few times, even use it in your praying. Enjoy! The Prophecy "’I have determined and will now cause a new season to be brought forth. What you have prayed for, fought for, and stood for is now being released. I have decreed it, and I will not relent,’ says the Lord. ‘The greatest push of My Kingdom will now begin. The Third Great Awakening shall now advance in tidal waves of My power. It is the season of My surge. "’You will now see the new breed of remnant warriors I have reserved for this day and hour. They are those who have not and will not bow to Baal, mammon, or religious impotence; they will have the set countenance of Daniel and will not flinch in the face of evil decrees. Like Esther, they will rewrite evil decrees by My statutes. Governors of the culture will now come forth. Remnant warriors will now emerge who have the heart of David, the wisdom of Solomon, and the tenacity of Paul. "’This new breed, standing for Me in this season, cannot be bought - they will not compromise. Their ear has been tuned to My voice, as was Samuels; I will speak, and they will humbly follow. They will dominate for Me, for I have not called My church to submit to culture. As My Ekklesia, I have called them to determine culture's path, regulating in My name and by My Word. Regulators of the culture are coming to their posts. I will arise in this new season with My remnant, releasing My glory, authority, power, and fiery hosts of angels. This shall become “evident support.” "’The call to My remnant is to now rise and destroy spiritual defilement in your region. Resist and reign. Resist and stand. I will rise to battle for you,’ says the Lord, ‘displaying My strong arm. I will not stand down. I will not be indifferent. I will not be a bystander. I will rise and thunder against iniquitous roots and abominations that mock Me. I will rise against idolatry. I will rise against antichrist governments that disdain and mock Me - I will not be mocked! I will not close My eyes, but I will look and see. I will know, and I will judge in righteousness. I will answer passivity with bold, aggressive warriors of purpose. I will not relent. Heaven’s Fire “‘I will now reveal revival fire engines; places emanating with Holy Spirit fire. Vortexes of tornadic fire will begin to spin through regions. I will now answer Baal's prophets with My fire,’ says the Lord. ‘The fire of My glory will be fanned by Holy Spirit winds. Hell will not stop it. Hell's obstacles will become its fuel. I will flame. I will burn. I will consume with Holy Spirit fire. "’I AM sending fire,’ says the Lord, ‘fresh fire, Heaven's fire! My remnant warriors will burn with My message, with My passion, and with My presence. They shall be Holy Ghost-possessed reformers. I will answer the weak forms of godliness with those who will not deny My power. They will release it in My name. Demonstrations of My mightiness will confirm their witness; creative miracles will be seen and reported. "’It is time for - and I Am - breathing forth a new Pentecost. You will inhale the sweetness of My anointing and exude the confidence of My power. You will live in the essence of My being and experience Holy Spirit wind. And you will war differently. Breathe deeper and dominate hell's kingdom - as I intended! Step forward and push, along with My Spirit and the angel armies. Push forward in My great campaign - it is time for My reigning church to push! Push the gates of hell, and they will not prevail. I will prevail. My remnant will prevail. You shall more than conquer! “‘So shift! Shift into the new season I have ordained. It is the season of my awakening. It is the season of my harvest. It is the day of the saints. It is the day of My power. Rise with Me and run into your purpose and destiny. Rise and receive your Pentecost. Run into the day of My power, My awakening, and My great harvest. “‘Rise with Me!’ says the Lord.” Pray with me: Father, thank You for this word of encouragement. You are not disinterested or disengaged from what is occurring in our world. You are watching, planning, and orchestrating. The glorious church You spoke of will be seen - an Ekklesia capable of representing You in authority and power, love and humility. You have spoken, and it will come to pass. You said when it’s time for Your actions, we must ask for them (Zechariah 10:1). We ask for the wind of Holy Spirit You spoke of. We ask for His fire, we ask for revivalists, and we ask for reformers - regulators of the culture, boat-rockers, trendsetters, and decree writers like Esther. We ask for high levels of wisdom in leaders, those who have God-inspired answers for today’s problems. And we ask for the sleeping giant, the church, to awaken. We thank You for the movement of prayer that is no doubt being used to birth these things. Breathe on this movement, and breathe through it. Build the covering prayer grid You spoke of in the “work while you celebrate” dream. Activate this “Christ DNA'' in believers around the world. Do radical things to continue exposing corruption in our government, lay trap after trap, and do as You spoke in Your Word - “Take the wise in their own craftiness” (1 Corinthians 3:19). Expose unrighteous lawsuits, corrupt agencies, and judges; vindicate the innocent. Shake down evil and allow all to see the purity of Your standing Kingdom. And send the worldwide revival of salvation and healing. We ask for all of this in Yeshua’s name. Amen. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/july-14-2023 July 14, 2023 A Firm Reliance on Divine Providence Thousands of you are traveling your states and the nation, “painting the borders” with Holy Spirit’s anointing, and “commanding the foreword” (that which God declared over America - through leaders - at her beginning). It is my joy to occasionally send you quotes from some of these Founders as ammunition; also to encourage you with a few reports from God’s great volunteer army. According to Psalm 110:1-3, Christ has given the Ekklesia His scepter of authority, authorizing us to issue these commands. As we do so, we are making His enemies His footstool. The passage also states that we do this as part of Christ’s “Melchizedek (King-Priest) Order,” of which we are all members. As kings we decree; as priests, we petition and appeal. When you decree God’s plans for America, you are painting the heavenlies with His purposes, and cutting off satan’s plans, wielding the sword of the Spirit. You are also participating in the synergy of the ages, tapping into “history past” and writing “history future.” Here are some great quotes from America’s “Foreword,” some you may not have seen: Peter Bulkeley “Peter Bulkeley was the Puritan leader who established the city of Concord, Massachusetts in 1636. In his only publication, The Gospel Covenant, also known as the Covenant of Grace Opened, Peter Bulkeley stated: “‘We are as a city set upon a hill, in the open view of all the earth... We profess ourselves to be a people in covenant with God, and therefore... the Lord our God…..will cry shame upon us if we walk contrary to the covenant which we have promised to walk in…’”(1) Using Deuteronomy 28:10 and Isaiah 61:9 as his sources, he continued: “‘Let us study so to walk that this may be our excellency and dignity among the nations of the world among which we live; that they may be constrained to say of us, only this people is wise, and a holy and blessed people; that all that see us may see and know that the name of the Lord is called upon by us; and that we are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.’”(2) Laws Our original laws and constitutions were based on the Scriptures. Here are a few examples: “The Massachusetts General Court, in 1636, resolved to establish a code of laws that would be: ‘agreeable to the Word of God.’(3) “The Connecticut General Court, in 1639, established under the Constitution of Connecticut, issued the order: ‘That God's Word should be the only rule for ordering the affairs of government in this commonwealth.’(4) “The Fundamental Orders (Constitution) of Connecticut (January 14, 1639) was the first constitution written in America, establishing a pattern which all others followed, including the United States Constitution.(5) It was penned by Roger Ludlow, in 1638, after hearing a sermon by Thomas Hooker, the Puritan minister who founded Hartford, Connecticut. So important was this work that Connecticut became known as "The Constitution State."(6) The committee responsible to frame the orders was charged to make the laws: ‘As near the law of God as they can be.’”(7) Cotton Mather “Cotton Mather was an American colonial clergyman and educator. He graduated from Harvard in 1678, and joined his father, Increase Mather, in the pastorate of the Second Church in Boston, in 1680. “The House of Representatives attempted to appoint him President of Harvard in 1703. He helped found Yale University, and in 1721 became President of the Connecticut College. He authored 450 books, and was the first person born in America to be elected to the Royal Society of London. “Cotton Mather was regarded as the most brilliant man of New England in his time. Among his many accomplishments was the introduction of the smallpox inoculation during an epidemic in 1721. “In 1702, he published Magnalia Christi Americana (The Great Achievement of Christ in America), which is the most detailed history written of the first 50 years of New England. In it, he stated: “‘The sum of the matter is that from the beginning of the Reformation in the English nation, there had always been a generation of godly men, desirous to pursue the reformation of religion, according to the Word of God...[The Puritans were] driven to seek a place for the exercise of the Protestant religion, according to the light of conscience, in the deserts of America.’”(8) Jonathon Trumbull “Just one year and a couple of months before the signing of the Declaration of Independence, on April 19, 1775, in a Proclamation of a Day of Fasting and Prayer for the Connecticut Colony, Governor Jonathan Trumbull beseeched that: “‘God would graciously pour out His Holy Spirit on us to bring us to a thorough repentance and effectual reformation, that our iniquities may not be our ruin; that He would restore, preserve and secure the liberties of this and all the other British American colonies, and make the land a mountain of Holiness, and habitation of righteousness forever.’”(9) Declaration of Independence And last but not least, the Declaration of Independence. The very last line leaves no doubt as to where the Founding Fathers placed their faith and gained their resolve: "And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and are sacred Honor." Report And to encourage you, here’s an amazing report of several people Holy Spirit sent on unique assignments…before we ever spoke of painting our borders: “Throughout a 30-day period leading up to July 4th, 2023, Holy Spirit coordinated teams of people to pray over all five continental divides in North America. None of them knew the other teams and their assignments even existed. Nor did any one ministry or church coordinate this - they all heard from Holy Spirit separately to do this. Only when finished did they learn of the others! You can find the report at www.isaiah97.com “Continental divides are God-made boundaries that determine the flow and direction of water in a continent. Among other things, these teams poured water over the divides to symbolize the cleansing of the land, and oil to picture the healing of the land.” (From Steve Wilson; Isaiah 9:7 Movement) I love it! Pray with me: Father, as we declare portions of Your great Foreword regarding America, we do so to see her restored and reset to Your divine purposes. As a great symphony of declarations and appeals rises to You, merge them with the early voices that declared Your plans and purposes. Use the decrees to shake down evil and reestablish righteousness in our land. From these quotes: We declare America “to be a people in covenant with God.” We declare that America is “a city on a hill,” and that the light of truth will once again shine from our shores…in order that “all who see us may see and know that the name of the Lord is called upon by us; and that we are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.” We declare that America will have laws “agreeable to the Word of God…that His Word will be the only rule for ordering the affairs of our government.” We declare that “God will graciously pour out His Holy Spirit on America again to bring us to a thorough repentance and effectual reformation, in order that our iniquities may not be our ruin; that He will restore, preserve and secure the liberties of this nation, and make the land a mountain of Holiness, and habitation of righteousness forever.” We declare that “our support of the Declaration of Independence is with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence.” Now Lord, we ask You to strengthen, bless and lead Your volunteers as they carry out this assignment. Remind them of their authority in Christ, the power of their words, and how incredibly noble is their cause. Remind them of the millions of souls coming into Your Kingdom because of their prayers. Encourage each intercessor regarding their worth, their importance to You. We pray these things in Christ’s name. Amen. Paul frequently spoke of encouraging others and of receiving encouragement. A believer in the early church named Joseph, was actually nicknamed Barnabas by his fellow believers - which means “son of encouragement” - because of his encouraging heart and nature (Acts 4:36). Moses was twice told by God to encourage Joshua regarding his future ministry (Deuteronomy 1:38 and 3:28). The thought we normally have when hearing the word “encouragement” is picking up the spirit of someone who may be hurting or struggling, bringing motivation to press on, or perhaps giving a compliment to a person that might cause him or her to feel good about themselves or their performance. These aspects of encouragement are good and significant. The deeper meaning of this word, however, is even more significant. In its etymology, the word [encouragement] literally means “to put in courage.”(1) The “courage” portion actually comes from the Latin word for heart.(2) Think about that: Courage is a force that originates in the heart. Emotions will fail you in times of crisis or trouble; the mind, invaded by numerous scenarios and “what ifs,” will often flounder in times of uncertainty, fear, and indecision. “Heart courage” is the only safe source of strength in times of trouble. David said, “My heart is fixed,” meaning that it was immovable. (Psalms 57:7 and 108:1). In Psalm 112:7, he stated about one who fears the Lord and delights in His commandments: “He will not fear bad news; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is firm, he will not fear, But will look with satisfaction on his enemies” (NASB). Courage emanating from the heart will never fail you. And to think we can actually put this courage into the heart of another with our words - incredible! The Greek word translated as “encourage” (also translated “comfort”), is parakaleo.(3) Interestingly, in one of its different forms (Paraclete), it is used as a name of Holy Spirit, usually translated as “Comforter” or “Helper.” Holy Spirit doesn’t simply want to give us pep talks to lift our emotions, He wants to put an immovable force of strength into our hearts, our “courage center!” And He often wants to use us to do so. Holy Spirit “...comforts (parakaleo) us in all our affliction, so that we will be able to comfort (parakaleo) those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1:4 NASB). Amazing! Holy Spirit wants to strengthen the hearts of others through us! Our freedom today may, in part, be due to a 20th-century “Barnabas.” Winston Churchill didn’t look like much of a fighter, but he was one of the Allied Forces’ greatest warriors during WW2. He fought with his words, giving heart to Britain when the odds against them seemed impossible to overcome. At times, it seemed all they had left was heart. Here are a couple of examples: “THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN was raging. Every resource of Fighter Command was engaged in defense against the attacking Luftwaffe. On August 20, Winston Churchill reassured his countrymen. In the speech, he coined the phrase ‘the few’ to refer to the fighter pilots of the RAF (Royal Air Force), a phrase that would stick: ‘The great air battle which has been in progress over this Island for the last few weeks has recently attained a high intensity. It is too soon to attempt to assign limits either to its scale or to its duration. We must certainly expect that greater efforts will be made by the enemy than any he has so far put forth. ‘The gratitude of every home in our Island, in our Empire, and indeed throughout the world, except in the abodes of the guilty, goes out to the British airmen who, undaunted by odds, unwearied in their constant challenge and mortal danger, are turning the tide of the world war by their prowess and by their devotion. Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few.’”(4) Another example of Churchill putting courage into the hearts of his people was through the following: “DURING THE DARKEST days of the war, there was trouble in England's coal mines. Workers were leaving the mines to enlist in the army. Many young men wanted to be fighting in the front lines, not digging coal out of the ground, and coal production was in jeopardy when the nation needed it most. Winston Churchill went to the mines to deliver a speech and to give the miners a vision of the future. “His words pictured for them what would take place when the Nazis were beaten, and the war was over. He said there would be a great parade honoring all who sacrificed for victory. First, there would be the Royal Navy sailors who had battled Hitler at sea. Then would come the Royal Air Force pilots who had fought the Luftwaffe in the skies. Then would come the Royal Army soldiers who had fought at Dunkirk. Last of all would come a long line of sweat-stained, soot-streaked men in miner's caps. Someone would cry from the crowd, ‘Where were you during the dark days of our struggle?’ And from ten thousand throats would come the answer, ‘We were deep in the earth, with our faces to the coal.’(5) “Churchill's words penetrated their hearts. With tear-streaked faces, the miners went back to work with the firm belief that every piece of coal they brought out of the earth was vital to the survival of their nation. They knew that their work might be mundane and seem unglamorous, but it was necessary to the larger cause.”(6) Put courage in someone you know today. “Lay hands on” their heart with your words and impart to them strength and fortitude. Tell them they are strong in Christ! Tell them they have great value and are needed! Tell them they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them, and that the greatest power in the universe dwells in them through Holy Spirit! Tell them their feet are on a solid rock, which will never crumble! “My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name. Refrain: On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand. When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace; In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil. His oath, His covenant, His blood Support me in the whelming flood; When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.”(7) Pray with me: Father, thank You for sending the great heart doctor, Holy Spirit. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for infusing strength into us, making us steadfast and immovable. Through You, we have “heart courage!” And thank You, Jesus, for transforming our hearts, and being our Rock. As we “put our faces to the coal,” motivate your Ekklesia to walk in “Barnabas anointings.” Remind us that we can put courage into the hearts of our brothers and sisters as we war for the soul of our nation. Encourage them to encourage others. We declare today that with Your strength, we will not yield to the forces of darkness in the world. We will not grow weary in our well-doing, our prayers, and decrees. We mount up with wings like eagles - running without getting tired, walking without fainting. Your strength empowers us, Your wind lifts us. We are like trees planted by water; our roots are deep and strong. With hearts like David, we run to the battle. With vision like Caleb, we ask for our mountain. With faith like Abraham, we hope when it seems there is none, and believe in the face of the impossible. With determination like Paul, we press toward the mark. We are “of God” and will overcome the forces of darkness. In Christ’s name and authority, Amen. These intercessors are serious! I have cried more than once while reading them, thinking of the commitment, dedication, and determination being demonstrated. Holy Spirit has truly built a national Ekklesia of committed warriors. I hope you take the time to visit our GiveHim15.com website and read some of the reports. The remainder of today’s post is sharing portions of a few of them - to encourage you and give examples of what can be done, but also to show that Holy Spirit has been orchestrating this endeavor way in advance of Give Him 15 first mentioning it. Enjoy! KANSAS “My husband and I read Give Him 15 every morning, and we have read Gina Gholston’s book, Carry On. We felt led to take our tiny Teardrop Camper and drive 1550 miles around the border of Kansas. We stopped and anointed each border county in Kansas and felt led to leave a stalk of wheat. We decreed and prayed to the Lord of the Harvest for a tremendous harvest of souls in Kansas and more workers for the harvest (Matthew 9:37-39). We spent time praying in each corner and at the geographic center of the lower 48 states. “Our goals were to: 1. Anchor Kansas in Hope 2. Appeal to Heaven 3. Apply the Oil 4. Activate the Harvest of Souls. “…As I prayed about what we could leave in each county and at the geographic center, I first thought about seeds. But as retired farmers, we love the season of harvest, and I felt the Lord say, ‘This is the season of harvest, not planting.’ So I gathered stalks of wheat, which we took with us, leaving one in each county after we prayed and decreed. It is the time to call in the workers for the harvest because it is harvest time (Matthew 9:37-38). So, using our Appeal to Heaven flag, we asked the Lord of the Harvest for more workers to bring in the great harvest of souls. “…We spent time praying at Mt. Sunflower and were joined by friends. The warfare there was intense but rewarding. “…We were met with a bald eagle outside Baxter Springs; he sat in a tree and waited for us to get his picture. (We had to turn around and change camera lenses in order to get nice photos.) His head was held high. What a beautiful sign from God! “We prayed at the Mine Battlefield museum and were particularly touched while contemplating the battle that took place there in the Civil War. We are in a battle now - not physical, but spiritual. The Union forces won this battle in one hour, even though they were outnumbered 8000 to 1200. We read the ‘Gettysburg Address’ and sang all the verses of ‘The Battle Hymn of the Republic.’ This was a very moving experience. My husband said the Union troops had the advantage of being on the higher ground. May we battle this fight with the full armor of God from the ‘higher ground’! “In several counties, we used the words of Abigail Adams in the letter she wrote to her husband [John Adams] on June 20, 1776. These words seemed to be very fitting. She wrote, ‘I feel no anxiety at the large armament designed against us. The remarkable interpositions of heaven in our favor, cannot be too gratefully acknowledged. He who fed the Israelites in the wilderness, who clothes the lilies of the field, and who feeds the young ravens, when they cry, will not forsake a people engaged in so right a cause, if we remember His lovingkindness.'(1) “In White Cloud, Kansas, the Northeast corner of the state, a beautiful zebra-striped swallowtail butterfly landed at my feet and flew in between my legs several times, while three hawks soared high above our heads. “At the geographic center of the United States, we soaked several stalks of wheat in oil of frankincense and left them there. As we were leaving, I felt the song ‘Spring Up Oh Well’ in my spirit. We prayed and decreed in The Tiny Chapel, another key spot. Our God is so faithful. “We came home exhausted but also thrilled that the Lord had given us safety, protection, and many prayer warriors to help us complete this journey…” FLORIDA This report demonstrates how Holy Spirit has been orchestrating this prayer assignment for quite some time. “…My wife and I attend Vision Church in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, [led by Tom and Jane Hamon]… “We completed our own 4-day, 1850-mile Perimeter Prayer Drive of Florida in August of 2021. “We recently commenced a national, 3-phase effort to plant Appeal To Heaven flags in all 50 U.S. States and the District of Columbia. The purpose is to see the rise of the Ekklesia, the Third Great Awakening, and the Restoration of America. “Phase 1 is already complete, an effort which took 21 days, April 19 through May 9, and covered 10,116 miles. Each day we…interceded, declared, and decreed, using the founding documents of America…and planted "Appeal To Heaven" flags in the 37 perimeter and adjacent states of FL, AL, MS, TN, AR, LA, TX, OK, NM, AZ, NV, CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, ND, MN, WI, MI, OH, PA, NY, VT, NH, ME, MA, RI, CT, NJ, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV, NC, SC, and GA… “Phase 2 will soon commence, will take an estimated ten days, cover 4690 miles, and will include the remaining inner states of the Lower 48: MS, KS, CO, UT, WY, SD, NE, IA, IL, IN, and KY. “Phase 3 will require about 24 flight hours, plus layovers, and take up to 10 days. Our friends Cindy Jacobs and Timmerle Kelly lead Reformation Prayer Network and are all over this assignment. Here is a report from their RPN leader in New Hampshire. New Hampshire “New Hampshire is amazing! Intercessors from all over NH have hit the ground running with this assignment. Locations all over New Hampshire are being covered. One couple alone ‘painted’ 23 border locations in 2 days! “…A group…is creating a map of New Hampshire and pinning each location that has been painted. Additionally, a list is being generated to coincide with the map. Most importantly, as we have gone out to paint, we have experienced the presence of God and the needed miracles to accomplish the work. God is amazing and so good.” She ends her report by saying, “May His Kingdom Come.” I am reminded of two verses as I conclude today: “Your people will volunteer freely on the day of Your power; In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, Your youth are to You as the dew.” (Psalm 110:3 NASB) “So we built the wall…for the people had a mind to work.” (Nehemiah 4:6 NASB) Keep painting. Pray with me: Father, You said when we meditated on and obeyed Your words, we would prosper and have success (Joshua 1:8). You also said, through Jehoshaphat, that if we believed and trusted Your words through prophets, we would prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20). We are confident You have given strategy to the Ekklesia through prophetic voices, and confident that we are succeeding. We thank You, Father, for leading us through this challenging season. We thank You for loving our nation enough to orchestrate deliverance and restoration. You have told us America will be saved, that nothing will stop Your plans, and You have now led us to this phase of the process. As we seal our borders with prayer and the anointing of Holy Spirit, we are confident this is effective, accomplishing all You said it would. We pray Your blessings on those who are doing so. We pray that You bless them spiritually, physically, and financially. We pray that You bless their families and all their possessions. We pray that strength and encouragement be given them, and for unity as they go. We also ask for hearing ears, in order to hear clearly what Holy Spirit leads them to do. We pronounce blessings over them! We pronounce favor over them! We pronounce health and healing over them! We pronounce abundance over them! Kingdom, come! Will of God, be done! On earth as in heaven! Yours is the kingdom, power, and glory we release. And we do so in Christ’s hallowed name. Amen.
