5 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/november-8-2024 November 8, 2024 Introduction David Kubal, my friend who leads Intercessors For America, wrote an outstanding article summarizing what is needed with our current prayer efforts. David’s boots-on-the-ground perspective, as well as his many solid contacts, give him wise and informed insights for us. We cannot recommend the ministry of IFA strongly enough. David titled his article: ______________________________________________________________ Election 2024: What Just Happened? Beginning with a prayer: Lord God, we thank You for the victory of conservative and godly values in this election. We pray that this would not be a flash-in-the-pan victory, but rather the beginning of a new biblical era for America. After capturing our minds and prayers for months, the 2024 elections are finally over. The people have spoken, the process our Founding Fathers put in place worked as it should have, and the results represent a massive shift in the direction of our country. President Trump has won the popular vote and the Electoral College. The Senate has switched from Democratic to Republican control, and it appears the Republican leadership will retain control of the House. What does all this mean? Some are calling this win a Referendum, some a Mandate. Regardless of your label, the American people have spoken: the nation was going in the wrong direction. I believe the Lord is instructing the intercessory community to pray for two things: foundations and justice. Foundations We need to pray for the basic foundations of how our government operates. Cutting our government waste could save our nation trillions of dollars per year — dollars that are currently being wasted through the ineffectiveness of employees and the virtual impossibility of firing those ineffective employees. The rooting out of employees committed to a progressive agenda is an absolute must! The new Trump administration will begin appointing 4,600 individuals responsible for leading 2+ million career employees. MUCH PRAYER AND INTERCESSION ARE NEEDED ON THIS! House Speaker Johnson will be working very closely with the Trump administration to put forth an effective legislative agenda for the first 100 days. The process of electing the Senate Majority Leader must now occur. The name that continues to surface is Senator Steve Daines (MT), who started the first Pro-Life Caucus in the Senate. Senators John Thune (SD), John Cornyn (TX), and Rick Scott (FL) are other possibilities. Justice We must also pray for justice. Over the last four years, the House of Representatives has completed many investigations (many led by Rep. Jim Jordan (OH)), and committees have made many criminal referrals that the Justice Department never took up. The United States Attorney General is a CRITICAL position for President Trump to fill. The appointment of federal judges is critical (45 current openings), and this could include Supreme Court Justices. Concerning the moral issues on the ballots across America: On the issue of abortion, one of the greatest disappointments of the last few years was the Left’s ability to pass laws allowing abortions to continue. This happened again in multiple states (AZ, CO, MA, MO, NV, NY, and MT). However, FL, NE, and SD rejected the measure to a Constitutional amendment to abort, and Nebraska passed a ban after the first trimester. This trend continues to break the heart of our Lord. The deceptions that abortion is somehow a right and that a baby is not alive until some arbitrary point of viability continues. Multiple state ballot measures to ensure only U.S. citizens can vote passed overwhelmingly, clearly expressing concerns over the open border (ID, IA, KY, MO, NC, OH, OK, SC, WI). Along these lines, NV voted to require voter ID. Open borders are clearly viewed as a threat to our republic. The legalization of marijuana overwhelmingly failed in all three states (FL, SD, ND). Some may recall the miraculous story of CA Prop 8, which defined marriage as one man and one woman. This has been state law since 2008. However, this Proposition was overwhelmingly repealed yesterday, broadening their definition of marriage. International Issues Now, taking a look outside the US, there will be tremendous pressure on President Trump to solve the international crises: the war in Ukraine, Israel, etc. Multiple proxy wars could quickly escalate into larger conflicts. The war in Ukraine is becoming increasingly complicated. North Korea has sent troops to fight alongside Russian troops. South Korea is considering sending troops to fight alongside Ukrainian troops. President Trump has said this war is not America’s war, but the addition of North Korea to the scenario creates a potential for intervention. The attack on Israel by Iranian proxies fluctuates between huge Israeli victories and saber-rattling by the Iranians. Iran knows the previous Trump Administration shut down their ability to fight a war, so the coming months will be critical to watch for a move before he takes office. We can expect much instability internationally for the next few months before Inauguration Day. We must pray and intercede that the Lord not only gives us a reprieve but a reset. Our nation has been marching to the progressive beat, leading us toward Marxism. The American people have recognized the evil that comes with the mindset of an ever-evolving culture. We must pray for a reset to traditional, biblical values and a government that has true justice as its foundation. ********** Pray with me: Father, the next year will determine the course of America for decades. There are only three short months for Trump, his team, and key members of Congress to prepare so as to hit the ground running. Please give wisdom as positions are filled and agendas set. Then, the first nine months of his term “to root out, tear down, destroy, and overthrow” (Jeremiah 1:10) and set a new course on which “to build and plant.” We know this will be opposed vehemently. We ask for supernatural intervention, just as You gave Jeremiah. Expose people and agendas that displease You, weaken and stop their efforts. Bring sanity, cleansing, morality, and godliness to D.C. Put the right people in place, and give them favor and success. Give Trump great wisdom as he addresses international concerns. Dispatch angels to take action! Bring healthy alliances and destroy evil coalitions. And please protect President Trump and his team. We know some people desire, and I believe, are planning to take him out. Please stop this. We partner with You by binding the plans and efforts to do so. We declare exposure, exposure exposure. Past protection does not guarantee present and future protection. We must procure it daily. In Psalm 91:1, You told us to “abide” in the secret place of protection, a word which we know means primarily to “spend the night.” We must ask and believe for Your daily “secret place” protection. We do so now. All of this we pray in Yeshua’s name. Amen. Our decree: We decree that righteous foundations are being laid in America, and justice is being established. **************************** You can find out more about David Kubal and Intercessors for America at IFAPray.org. 6 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/june-10-2024 June 10, 2024 The Remnant Doesn’t Give Up “And Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all those who were selling and buying on the temple grounds, and He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. And He said to them, ‘It is written: My house will be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers’” (Matthew 21:12-13, NASB; also in Mark 11:15-17 and Luke 19:45-46). What do you think would occur in the spirit realm over America, followed by breakthroughs in the natural realm, if even half of the churches in America obeyed Jesus’ command to be “A house of prayer”? Satan is nothing if not a cunning strategist. He somehow motivated the church - God’s change agent on earth - to ignore Christ’s words, the context of which was one of the only two violent acts He performed. Not coincidentally, the other violent act was also a cleansing of the temple, carried out at the beginning of His ministry (John 2:14-16). I should add that Luke tells us this last one occurred immediately after Christ wept uncontrollably over Jerusalem and announced its destruction (Luke 19:41-44). It seems logical that the two were related: the blindness of Jerusalem and its destruction were caused by religious blindness. This infuriated Him. How does He feel today? I can assure you that in churches across America this weekend, not even 1 or 2 minutes will be given to prayer for the lost, for this collapsing nation, for salvation to the nations of the earth, or for anything else! Most churches will have NONE. Let that sink in. If a church has any prayer in a given week, it is typically relegated to a handful of people in a backroom before the service, or a weeknight when most people are busy with work and family. Sundays are reserved for more important things like fellowship, a feel-good praise or singalong time, and the pastor’s weekly opportunity to preach. I know these and most other activities in churches are important, but EVERY activity of the typical church in America has been deemed more important than prayer. EVERY…SINGLE…ONE. To assess the fruit of this, don’t count the people in the pews - the Temple was filled with people when Christ wept, made His whip, overthrew tables, and scattered merchandise. We should look at the real fruit: God mocked by our government, the Bible scorned, a lukewarm church, murdered babies and mutilated kids, and a lost nation. What motivated the church to redefine success by size and happy congregants? The cunning strategist. And the piper, as the story warned, is now being paid. Because of God’s unending mercy and extravagant grace, it is not too late for recovery. “If I can find even a remnant,” He says, “that will cry out to Me, I’ll send a great revival and heal the land.” In the following great teaching, Dave Kubal of Intercessors For America brings us back to the basics, and to hope for change. Remember, a few days after Jesus wept and cleansed the temple, He went to the cross…and mercy triumphed over judgment. WHY WE SHOULD PRAY FOR AMERICA (written by Dave Kubal) “God above, we pray that You would wake up Your church. Put a burning passion in the heart of every believer to pray for this nation You’ve entrusted to us! “Do you ever wonder why you should pray for America? Have you asked yourself how your prayers can possibly make any difference if God is sovereign and does what He pleases anyway? “If that’s you, I want to encourage you today and show you why your prayers are important. “Here’s an important passage to consider: ‘The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s, but the earth He has given to the children of men’ (Psalm 115:16 NKJV). “Both heaven and earth belong to God. What’s interesting is that He has sovereignly chosen to entrust the earth’s stewardship to us. It’s as if He has made us His middle managers over the earth. Now, the earth still belongs to Him, and so does all it contains, as Psalm 24:1 (NKJV) states: ‘The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.’ But God has decided to delegate stewardship and dominion over His earth to people, His created beings made in His own image. “And God always respects our free will. “God didn’t make us as robots. He made us to have free will; in fact, the Bible says that wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. And since the Spirit of the Lord is everywhere in heaven and earth, he gives us freedom and liberty to make our own choices (although, of course, there are consequences if we employ our free will to disobey Him). “Because God has entrusted stewardship of the earth to us, He waits to move on earth until we ask Him to do so. “God respects authority, and that includes the authority He has personally given us. So, if we want Him to move in the spheres He has entrusted to us, we have to ask Him to do that. We have to ask Him to move. And that is called ‘prayer.’ “This is one of the reasons prayer is so important, and it’s why we must pray for America. “If we want to see God move in America, we must pray for America, asking for His help. We see everywhere that we need His divine intervention. Although God is sovereign, He also allows human beings (the lost and the saved alike) to make their own choices - for good or for evil. “But God can turn the hearts of men. “‘The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes’ (Proverbs 21:1 NKJV). God can and will move when we pray, even at the national level. He will turn the hearts of kings to do His own will, even if they don’t know Him. In the Bible, God often used even pagan kings to do His will. He would call them, and they would come; he would scatter them, and they would leave. Although they didn’t know Him, they still found themselves yielding to His work in their hearts whenever He wanted them to do something. “And that’s why your prayers for America DO matter. “Your prayers for America move heaven, and they shake earth. Your prayers for America cause God to turn the hearts of kings toward righteousness and justice. Your prayers bring our Lord’s divine intervention into manifestation on the earth in every sphere about which you pray. “Intercessors For America was founded during times like today. Vietnam War protests and riots were occurring on campuses and elsewhere. The Vice President had resigned in disgrace, and then the Watergate scandal broke open. People had no confidence in the leadership of the nation. The Supreme Court mandated legal abortion. Christians were discouraged by lawlessness, corruption, and moral depravity of the nation. For 50 years, we have been praying, and we have seen many miraculous answers to prayer. “So we pray and keep praying: ‘And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart’ (Galatians 6:9 NKJV). “Let’s pray continuously and without quitting - as Jesus instructed the disciples to do in the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8. And even when we don’t see progress yet, let’s keep praying until we do. Don’t give up. God does hear your prayers for America. “And He will answer.”(1) Pray with me: Father, again we stand in the gap for America, including for the prayerless church, and ask for Your merciful cleansing. Whatever it takes - whatever - awaken the church, turn our nation back to You, and revive us with a third great awakening. Send revival! Send revival! Send revival! Save millions, restore our destiny, send the gospel from these shores to all the earth, and bring earth’s greatest harvest ever! As many fast and pray this week and next, use their obedience and petitions to bring signs and wonders, the power that confirms the gospel (Mark 16). Use these miracles to grab the attention of millions, then transform them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Perform miracles on campuses, in government buildings, in homes and hospitals, and on the streets. Show up!!! You, only You, are our hope. And we state strongly that in spite of the great desperation and grief we feel, our hope in You anchors us and sustains our faith. We believe You’re the Savior of the world and ARE coming to save; You’re the Healer and ARE coming to heal; You’re the deliverer and ARE coming to deliver. America shall be saved, and the harvest will be reaped. In Jesus' name we pray. Our decree: With grateful hearts, we decree once again that God’s mercy triumphs over judgment. ******************************** Click on the link below to watch the full video. ----------------------------------------------------- Thanks again, Dave, for your bold words reminding us to pray for America. 7 min read https://www.givehim15.com/post/march-22-2024 March 22, 2024 Introduction There is no ministry in America more significant than Intercessors for America, and they’ve had no better leader than David Kubal. Kingdom-hearted to the core, Dave lives to see Christ glorified in our nation. Like his namesake, King David of old, Dave is giving his life to see God’s purposes fulfilled in our generation. Thank you, Dave; we appreciate you and your labors, and for giving of your valuable time to Give Him 15 today. _______________________________________________________________ Global Crescendo of Freedom: Will It Continue? The year 2024 is like no other year in human history; it is a year where there is a historic crescendo of global freedom. As we consider the upcoming U.S. Presidential Election, I believe we need to understand its importance in light of what God is doing around the globe. What do I mean? Fewer than 300 years ago, not a single country in the world allowed people the opportunity to elect those in authority over them. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States created the first nation ever to use a democratic process to choose the country’s leaders. Slowly, over time, this idea of freedom that our Founders championed crept across the globe. America is founded on the fact that God gives us our rights which impacted the way we choose leaders; the process of freedom was infectious, and it spread. By 1900, 25% of the world’s people were able to participate in selecting their leaders. One hundred years later, that percentage had grown to 50%. And over the last 20 years, even more growth has happened. Now, two-thirds — or 6 billion — of the world's 8 billion people help choose their leaders. Sixty-six countries will hold elections this year. Half of the world's population — that’s 4.1 billion people — will have an opportunity to participate in an election in their country thanks to the freedoms established by our Founding Fathers. This has never happened before in human history. It’s as if a global reset button is about to be pushed on half of the world’s population —a global freedom reboot. Will this global growth of freedom increase, or will global freedoms decrease? How should we focus our prayers for both the U.S. and the global elections? What are the three most important cultural elements to pray for? Secular research confirms what the Bible teaches. (CLICK this link https://ifapray.org/promo/world-elections-2024/ to download Intercessors for America’s Special Report “Unprecedented Shift in Global Power.”) GOOD GOVERNMENT Studies by the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and Statista agree: nations thrive when governments focus on reducing corruption, emphasizing the rule of law, and ensuring a trustworthy electoral process that generates the most satisfied and economically productive inhabitants. Good government is essential if nations are to thrive. THRIVING CHURCHES What is the single most important element for people to find fulfillment in their lives? Let’s look at a Pew Research study of over 25 nations. Actively religious people are 50% more likely to describe themselves as “very happy.” Do you catch that? Secular researchers are saying that people find the most fulfillment when they’re part of a faith community! That means that nations with religious liberty will necessarily thrive. Like Jesus said, He will build His Church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. So, as we consider praying for the increase of freedom worldwide, good government and religious liberty are important. One last consideration: TWO-PARENT FAMILIES What produces the most well-adjusted and economically successful people? The answer is found in numerous studies, including one by the American Enterprise Institute that concluded this: Children who grow up in a two-parent home are the most behaviorally adjusted and have the greatest economic success as adults. It’s not that children growing up in a one-parent home are doomed, but if a nation has a choice, it should always encourage two-parent households.(1) Good government; thriving faith communities; healthy two-parent families: For men and women of faith, this is no surprise. These studies illustrate truths found in God’s Word that have been known for centuries. In fact, good government, thriving faith communities, and healthy two-parent families sum up the three institutions God created to care for us. The biblical pattern of God’s design for government is first found in Exodus 18, when Moses set up a representative republic based upon law. Each tribe had leaders and judges, with Moses judging the most difficult issues. This is the genesis of the global freedoms we see today; the United States was the first representative republic after Israel, and it is patterned after Old Testament government. God created government to care for our civil lives. God created the Church to care for our spiritual lives. God created the family to care for our personal lives. Government, the Church, the family: At the core of every election across the globe this year, these will be on the ballot, one way or another. But some say, “Jesus is coming back. So, why should I care about my nation?“ To that objection, I say that every generation is entrusted with spreading the news of Christ’s kingdom. Let’s consider Matthew 24:12-14: “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Jesus himself tells His disciples that their generation will not pass until the unfolding of His second coming. This set in the hearts of His disciples that the second coming was imminent, and could even be in their lifetime. But really, we are watching His second coming unfold as He uses His church to spread His Kingdom. The disciples believed Christ’s second coming was imminent and so they shared the gospel with urgency. Most of the New Testament epistles record Paul’s journey sharing God’s Kingdom even with the governmental leaders of his day. If they had stopped spreading the gospel, or if any other generation had stopped, where would humanity be now? What if the Lord tarries another 10 years, 100 years, or 1,000 years, and it is said of our generation that the gospel died because we thought Christ was returning? We must have faith in Christ’s return and at the same time be salt and light to our generation. Some quote Matthew 24:12, which suggests the rise of evil will be unstoppable. So why try to influence the world or government? Let’s go back to Matthew 24:12: “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Jesus says evil will increase as time goes on, but between that increase of evil and His physical second coming, the gospel will be preached to all nations. Evil will increase; the gospel will spread; then He comes back. That’s the pattern. The rise of evil is not the time to give up! Just the opposite: Now is the time for the good news of His kingdom to go to all nations. Salvation and freedom come through Christ. In a way, the rise of evil should encourage us. This is the environment where the goodness of God becomes clearest. For example, LGBTQ activists have fought for their right to legalize immorality. This has progressed to the point where states like California have passed laws protecting homosexual activity with minors — legalizing pedophilia. Evil becomes so gruesome that it highlights the goodness of God. The contrast between darkness and light brings into focus the need for God and for those moral absolutes of the timeless principles in the Bible. So, we return to Jesus' words to the disciples: Evil will increase, and then the gospel goes to the nations. This is the period we are in. I believe we’re in a critical time of God’s plan for the church that’s greater than any other in history. So, we go back to where we started. This year darkness has never been darker. Globalists have never been as well positioned to control nations. Yet, the freedom set in motion by our Founding Fathers — because of their understanding of biblical principles — is being seen this year in the greatest number of elections ever in the history of mankind. Now is not the time to stop praying. Now is not the time to stop acting. Just the opposite: Now is the time to assist God in this greatest period of the Church in history. We’re on the verge of seeing some incredible supernatural activity! Let’s pray: Father, we thank You for the increase of freedom across the world over the last nearly 250 years. We thank You that so many citizens of nations around the world will have the opportunity to participate in elections in 2024. We pray for a global shift of power in accordance with Your will and Your plan for each of the 66 nations holding elections this year. We pray for the three institutions that You created to care for us. We pray for good government that will enable us to live peaceful and godly lives and to share the gospel. We pray for the Church to be holy and bold and to be used by You to bring about Your purposes. We pray for strong, two-parent families that will raise children to become stable citizens of free nations. We pray, Lord, that You would stir up in us fervent prayer and faith for what You are planning to do across the world in 2024. Our decree: We decree that we are not those whose love will grow cold, but we are those who will stand firm to the end and will see the gospel go to all nations. ************************ Today’s post was shared by Dave Kubal from Intercessors for America.
