Everything is looking very well for Iraq. I'm happy for them. 7-10-2025 Mnt Goat Any move on the part of the Central Bank of Iraq to restrict the citizens in the use of the dollar and more use of the dinar is yet another move towards monetary sovereignty for Iraq... Now they have ditched the dollar, the parallel market is done and they are going back to sole use of the Iraqi dinar as their main currency within the country. This is exactly how it was before the 2003 invasions and the hyperinflation conversion to the three zero notes and the use of the currency auctions (sole use of the US dollar to pay for imports). Yes, these days are almost over. 7-10-2025 Jeff They already have tremendous security and stability which is the Central Banks's minimum requirements to be eligible to revalue their currency...Israel and Iran have recently finished their war...Now that the war is done and they've reached a ceasefire agreement on that war, we're no longer waiting on that step for the rate change. FRANK: All you have to do is just raise the value of your currency you knuckleheads... Did you notice the tariffs he did put on you when he hit everybody else with tariffs was minuscule? But he's sending out a bunch of letters now and you're on that list. Why? Because you haven't raised the value of your currency...As soon as you're ready to come out and float and be part of the international world with some reality...and [Trump] will remove the 30%.

Evil pigs tell you it's going to affect your exchange rate of the dinar. Well, of course it is...but in a positive way. When you go buy a candy bar you buy some M&M's what do you spend? You spend dollars. These cards they use are reducing the note count which IMV...is something that will benefit in a time of a redenomination or a revaluation. There is a lot of back and forth right now. But articles are saying they have worked through the issues and signing is imminent. The whole world is celebrating and singing even in Iran. Obviously not the leaders but the people. You know. I know. The whole world knows the future of Iraq's economy and currency, that's why they're pouring into Iraq. Everybody knows.

Iraq does not yet have Article VIII status with the International Monetary Fund which would allow free convertibility of the IQD. Instead it still operates under Article XIV, meaning capital controls and restrictions are legal and expected. 6-29-2025 Militia Man There's been videos out that we've talked about that showed them destroying perfectly good currency post 2018. What was their game? To reduce the note count. A currency value can definitely go up, but its value is the result of an increase in economic success and GDP. Iraq has been working over the last several years to reintegrate its banking system in the global financial system. Such steps will encourage investment, rebuilding of infrastructure, diversifying revenue away from oil. We are being hit hard tonight from Iranian militants. We heard they blew up a big radar installation and drones are hitting bases here. All hell has broke out inside Iraq. FRANK: Don't worry about it. Take cover for now. Protect your family. FIREFLY: We see in our skies here, bases are blown up. We can see it from the distance...Skies are full of fire here in the northern Iraq where those bases were. FRANK: It was no big deal. They didn't do much of any damage. FIREFLY: Television is saying some of the rockets missed their mark...It was the Iranian backed militants here that did it with Iran's help.

I am told the U.S. absolutely WILL NOT allow the reinstatement of the dinar while this Iranian situation continues. Do you really believe that with about 100 billion in reserves and the ability to maintain these reserves is not wealth? Not to mention Iraq has hardly any debt... So where is a dinar rate to at least reflect what they do have?

They were doing what they said they were doing but not what the Department of Treasury required. We were led to believe Iraq would be able to integrate without error with international banks. That belief was incorrect. Here's what Iraq is doing as per the Treasury department's and the Iraqi Prime Minister's demand - Article "Iraq announces Major Banking Sector Overhaul" The plan involves major restricting of both public and private banks with top global consultants enlisted to guide the transformation. Ernst and Young will oversee reforms of state-owned banks. 6-22-2025 Walkingstick [Iraqi banking friend update] AKI: The 1310 is dropping dramatically. The "water cooler talk" is this whole thing will come out as a whole number at the onset, like 1 to 1 because it will be on par in a basket. FRANK: I believe this is the last meeting with the WTO before ascension mainly because everything is in place and so is the WTO. Shoot, they've been putting it in place for 3 meetings. 6-22-2025 Fnu Lnu Iraq has NOT completed the requirements for ascension to the WTO. They are 1/2 way down the list of requirements...There is a meeting scheduled in August to go over what has been completed and what yet needs to be completed. It is an assessment and consultation only. The ascension is not dependent on the revaluation. Once the membership has been reestablished, they will consult on the needed value to facilitate global trade.

RON 6-22-2025 Mnt Goat [Wednesday] was my usual call to Iraq...I was told...that if this Iranian issue can be resolved quickly, as within a couple weeks, they fully intend to move ahead with currency reform very quickly. The only solid reason holding it back now is Iran. They had wanted to conduct the process prior to any real aggression from Israel but would not get the go ahead from the U.S. to move forward. Remember Iraq needs the full support of the U.S. for the Project to Delete the Zeros because the next stage preceding it has to be the reinstatement...I was told and I quote “technically if all goes correctly and these nuclear sites do get destroyed, we can expect the currency reform process to move ahead very quickly”. 6-22-2025 Frank26 [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] FIREFLY: Mr. Sammy said when July hits and salaries are paid on the cards only the people that didn't get their accounts open in the banks like they were instructed to, only those people are in for a big surprise. It's their own fault. They were warned constantly to come in, bring in your mattress dinars and open the accounts that we have established for you. We think this will help push the hordes of cash Iraqi citizens have in their homes...They won't get paid. FRANK: Get in there and activate those accounts and get that card. If you do not, when they do raise the value you're not going to get yours... ***** Saturday Midnight Opinions ***** 6-21-2025 Frank26 Security and stability is now rampant at the CBI, at the GOI, because those that were stealing your country's [Iraqi's] value are [gone]. 6-21-2025 Sandy Ingram Why is the IQD not globally traded? First it's because of capital controls. Iraq restricts the flow of its currency across borders. Second, there's a lack of market confidence due to war, sanctions and corruption. The IQD isn't trusted as a stable investment by international markets. Third we have sanctions and compliance issues. Concerns over dollar leaks to sanctioned nations like Iran make most global banks wary of dealing in IQD. Finally, there's no offshore clearing or liquidity. There's no active IQD trading infrastructure abroad.

The airspace closure means the nation is not safe. Safety and security are just pretty words to say. The RV is still waiting for better days. 6-20-2025 Sandy Ingram Without sweeping change within Iraq, political stability, fiscal reform, IMF alignment the dinar remains deeply undervalued and speculative...Oil shifts and internal reforms are the real variables that might move the dinar, not this week's explosions. 6-20-2025 Clare Article: “Government advisor: Foreign exchange reserves are the highest in Iraq's history." Quote: "Salih, confirmed on Thursday that Iraq is witnessing economic stability and developmental prosperity, with low inflation and unemployment and high growth. He also noted that foreign exchange reserves are the highest in Iraq's history." 6-20-2025 Frank26 [Iraq boots-on-the-ground report] FIREFLY: Television says we have the largest amount of foreign currency reserves and we are about to enter an economic boom. FRANK: IMO the currency reserves are set. They are primed for at least $3.00 rate IMO in order to float internationally, not so much at 1 to 1 anymore. That's the only way they have the audacity/right to say Iraq is about to enter an economic boom because even 1 to 1 is not enough for that economic boom but it sure is a good start. 6-20-2025 Militia Man I haven't been in the Iraqi dinar for 22 years but I have been around for a long time. I've seen the progress and that's what keeps me focused. It's a complex situation. It's been a long process. It's been tiresome. Things have changed. Look at the new digital transformation that have taken place...the new technology...the new Swift system...ISO 2022. We didn't have all that. They didn't have the transparency...anti-corruption...anti-money laundering laws...currency manipulation laws. They didn't have any of that but now they do. Now you're starting to see all of these things are really truly coming together and it's beautiful to see it.

Every weekday the Central Bank of Iraq hold auctions where it sells US dollars, which come from Iraq's oil revenues, to licensed banks and money exchangers. This is how it regulates the IQD to US dollar exchange rate and how importers access foreign currency...The Iraqi dinar doesn't have options, futures contracts or other financial products traded on global forex exchanges like the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. This makes it inaccessible to institutional investors who might be looking for hedging or large scale speculation. 6-18-2025 Militia Man When it comes to the education, they're doing what they should be doing. They say if we help them accomplish the digitalization of our country, bring in our three zeros, that would allow security and stability for our monetary reform. FRANK: They're not pulling any punches. Digitalization is now? I don't know. It's troubling to a degree and it's exciting to another degree. 6-18-2025 Fnu Lnu In my IMF and GOI newsletters, I see no talk of any monetary news except liquidity shortages and banks allowed to exchange Dinar for Dollars. 6-18-2025 Kaperoni Article: "Iraq is among the top 10 countries in the world in terms of natural resources." I pointed this out several years ago. This is why Iraq could never significantly RV their currency overnight. Such an event would bankrupt them since their entire net worth of natural resources is only $16 trillion dollars. This is why the only way the dinar can go up in value is gradually over time so that they can reduce the money supply (remove zeros) from trillions to billions. 6-18-2025 Sandy Ingram Any perception that Iraq is siding with one party over the other could draw the country into the geopolitical crossfire. In short the Israel-Iran conflict could lead to oil price surges that temporarily boost Iraq's revenues but it may also increase regional insecurity, hesitation in investment and operational risks in Iraq's vital oil sector. 6-18-2025 Militia Man Article quote: "...representatives called...to ban cash payments within the government institutions...This means 80% of paper money will be transferred to cards...These steps should be implemented increasingly to move cash out of homes and pockets and into banks." They're trying to and have been for quite a long time reducing the cash in circulation which is a good thing.

The government will tell them that after 30 days, their three zero notes will be worthless. The rate will be exactly the same. Lets say it is $3.00. The guys with the new currency in the country will have a 25 Dinar note that is worth $75 in USD. The rate outside the country will be $3.00 and the 2500 Dinar note will be exchanged for $75,000.00, USD. The rate is the same inside and outside the country only the value of the currency will differ. The Iraqi will have a windfall especially since that 25,000 dinar note is worth about $26 USD now. So, this step is FIRST to concentrate on the in-country dinars. Next they are going to come after the out-of-country dinars. I asked my CBI contact- does this also include our dinars, held outside Iraq with investors? I was told YES...if they don’t’ retrieve these dinars in-country first, before the revaluation...there will be too much in the money supply and hyper-inflation will occur... she told me...They would first retrieve these hoards then, by revaluing the dinar in-country, then bring out the lower denominations. 6-13-2025 MarkZ Iraqi Article: “Al Fateh: The smuggling of the regions oil will not stop until the approval of the oil and gas law” We do expect to see the budget tables and the gas and oil law to hit parliament at any moment. They're not going to give us the specific date and they're not going to tell us how much. They're just going to show us. That's my view. 5-30-2025 Walkingstick If the American dollar is $1 and it if it's paired to the Iraqi dinar that means the Iraq dinar is $1. That is called a nominal value. That is what every country seeks. In this case it's also seeking a REER - real effective exchange rate. It's hard to say. There's a couple things to take in consideration. Vietnam is nowhere like where Iraq is. Their currency is actually more depreciated than Iraqi dinar but Vietnam is already an active member of the World Trade Organization. There's no real restrictions on Vietnam from the United States. Their economy is booming. There's really just a couple of things Vietnam could do to help increase the value of their currency and they have to want to do it. 5-30-2025 Militia Man Article: "The Central Bank: Our measures contributed to lowering the exchange rate, and the decline is not temporary" Iraq is clearly showing that interlinking into the international financial system is taking place and the Central Banks is now in the final stages. Let's keep in mind the importance...of what is taking place is indirectly and directly necessary for a revaluation of Iraq's currency. It takes all of what is taking place, in cooperation and coordination from stakeholders with their support, with regional and international partners support as well. FRANK: The decline of the dollar is definitely on purpose...The monetary reform plan was to remove any foreign currency and by doing so it would add value to the Iraqi dinar...This was done on purpose in order to bring you a new exchange rate...purchasing power. 5-29-2025 MarkZ [via PDK] I don’t think there is any hold up. I think it is just rolling out...I have a lot of bankers saying it could be $4.81…Some say $4.91...they are saying somewhere in that range the rate is staying constant. That's where we're at. 5-28-2025 Paulette I am hopeful that perhaps the 1390 [Market Rate] target is to enact the Delete the Zeros project (RD/RV) resulting in an annihilation of the Market Rate. This would then result in Article 8 obligation compliance in order to get to the RI stage. This would be congruent with the 2009 MOP/MOF report of "initially a rate of 1.14-1.18 and held there for a period" - prior to "restoring the true rate of 3.208." I sure hope we are close.

The first thing the bill calls for dismantling Iran backed militants within Iraq's borders, including the PMF Popular Mobilization Forces. This is all set to end Iran's dominance in Iraq's political system.
