Where before they were holding U.S. dollars because the Iraqi dinar had devalued and so you know they don't want to part with the US dollar. It's a stronger currency against the dinar...This jacks up the foreign currency they [The CBI] hold so the foreign currency assets are increasing. This is good because what that does then it strengthens the Iraqi dinar. We want to see this happen...this is a good thing to see happen. *** Jeff *** Iraq is in the news. They're kind of suggesting that Kurdistan and Baghdad still have differences with the figures in the '21 budget...I doubt Kurdistan and Baghdad have many differences...be careful of what information you choose to trust...we're looking really good. Everything in Iraq is moving in the right direction. They have set the stage for the rate change. The IMF and WB are calling the shots. Even oil is moving in the right direction. Right now they have a budget surplus of oil. Everything is looking good... *** Pimpy *** Erbil and Baghdad still need to come together and come up with an agreement. There's still some disagreements there. As soon as they do and they get that going forward, get that settled then we'll have a the 2021 budget. The WB and the IMF they don't play games. They don't work around a big sloppy mess. They run a tight ship. If you think Iraq is a big sloppy, disorganized mess that doesn't have stability, think about it carefully. The WB would not work with Iraq if they were a big sloppy mess and they didn't have stability. What do you think is going to happen in the month of February? This is huge...this is fantastic...the US treasury is done. The IMF is done. The World Bank seems to be done. I want you to bear in mind that just because they set this up does not mean Iraq will be on it sooner than later. Remember they also set up links into the NASDAQ trading and we saw all the the hype about it...But here we are and still no RV...We may have to still wait but it is coming and this is yet another sign. The Rate also does not need to be included in the Budget! That's not to say that the Budget doesn't matter - it does! But what really matters is the satisfaction of the Kurds...and that, my friends, is happening very nicely. They know there is to much at stake now. There is apparently no going back now... Way to much has been accomplished...imo. *** Adam Montana *** [Q? : Iraq is trying to defer payment of debt to Kuwait because of their current financial crisis. What does this signify in regards to an RV? If the deferment is granted, does this affect the timing?] In regards to an RV, I say it signifies nothing. Iraq has always tried to plead poverty and defer payments and anything else they can do - just like we would expect any other country to do. The payments are in dollars, not Dinars... this means that after they RV, it will be easier for them to repay. In fact, it makes sense to stall payments until after the RV if possible, because they will effectively pay less that way. Or at least have more to pay with, but I don't think their payment schedule will change for them. It certainly could be done simultaneously with the Budget, but that doesn't mean it has to be done simultaneous...however, the timing certainly is good. I'm hopeful. Anything that drives the price of oil up, and does not take away from Iraq's ability to produce and export their own product, is good for Iraq. This is one such example. This is the process and each step takes time. Is there still a chance to see the reinstatement any time soon? As long as the 2021 budget is not yet opened there is a slight chance, a very slight chance, it can still happen, but I am very doubtful. This is only from a technical standpoint not a practical standpoint. RON *** Pimpy *** ...one article says they plan on keeping the rate that it's at now for the next 3 years. Some of you are going 'Oh my god we have to wait 3 years?' That's very possible. Like I said when you hear good news don't get overly excited. When you hear bad news don't get overly bummed out. IMO is it going to stay that way for 3 years? No I don't think so...Hopefully peace will remain in the Middle East. Iraq will continue to grow and if they could do this I think the rate change would change a little bit quicker...just because they say it don't mean that's how long it's going to take. There are a lot of other things to take into consideration...do plans change? We know the lower denominations are already printed. No, they are not yet at the banks as you don’t just given money to the banks for nothing. They must purchase the new denominations from the CBI. Yes, there are some already purchased in very limited supply. So some banks so already have them.

Will I stake my reputation that the RV will happen shortly after the budget is passed? No! But I will say that we still have time since it is not yet opened. When it does, we literally have just days before we lose our window of opportunity for the reinstatement to happen... *** Frank26 *** Article: "New financial statement on the adjustment of the dollar exchange rate" ...they are adjusting the budget...Jiminy Crickets you guys are telling the citizens of Iraq that you guys are going to make an adjustment again but this time in the positive direction. It's not going to be decreasing it, you're going to be increasing it. We're talking about the 2017 FML, 2020 budget. What's in the the 2020 budget? The new rate. That's why we're so excited. All these pieces and parts are coming together...this is all coming together to a point and there's much more coming... *** Walkingstick & Frank26 Respect the first 2 weeks of January in order to expect a second change in the rate of the Iraqi dinar. But this time it will be higher. Not lower...they have pumped up the dollar into the markets of Iraq while collecting as many 3-zero notes as possible during this 1450 rate. They kill 2 birds with one stone. They collected the 3-zeros and they invested internationally at a rate that was more advantageous to them. Brilliant...

I'm gonna go ahead myself and make the assumption there's going to be a move to help strengthen the value of the Iraqi dinar. I like this when I saw this...Iraq is taking big steps to get back on track...This is good news...this is great news...I see they are going to include the dinar. This is what we want to see...this is a good step...a really good thing...Another major sign that the value of the dinar is going to go up... *** Frank26 [Q? : What do you mean they lowered the price of the Iraqi dinar?] Well they did. That's impossible, they said they were going to raise it. It's the China syndrome. China said the same thing back in 1995. 'We are not going to raise the value of our currency.' So did Kuwait. They said the same thing. But 3 days later China changed the value of their currency. They didn't want anyone to take advantage of them...The Iraqi dinar went down in value inside the country of Iraq...but now as of January 1st IMO they got a new rate...they are trying to tell you they don't have a program rate anymore...

RON *** Jeff *** I know there were a fair amount of people that were hopeful that the rate would change December/January because they were under the impression that Iraq's fiscal year was started January 1st. We haven't seen the rate change yet...On December 20th they devalued the currency. If they had plans to change the rate in January, devaluing the currency at the end of December would not have served a purpose...the reason why they devalued the currency on December 20th was because they need 90 days to reduce the dinar note count and squeeze more dinar out of the citizens. They need 90 days to do that...Iraq's fiscal year starts April 1st (??? refuted)... *** Mnt Goat *** Article: "PARLIAMENTARY FINANCE: RAISING THE PRICE OF THE DOLLAR WAS DIRECTED BY THE INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND AND THE WORLD BANK AND WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF POLITICAL BLOCS, NOT THE GOVERNMENT." the devaluation is a temporary solution, if you can even call it that. It will blow up in their faces, if they don’t now do the project to delete the zeros and reinstate. There is no turning back…

RON Mnt Goat Article: "ECONOMIST CALLS FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE THREE ZEROS FROM THE DINAR TO STRENGTHEN THE LOCAL CURRENCY" So we have been waiting for articles like this. Notice we have not see any “direct” article talking about this subject of “deleting the zeros” for a long time. Now they finally are telling us this may be a solution to getting out of the mess they are in. MilitiaMan They are now telling us...that they are de dollarizing and will be heading to use digital dollars in the future for tracking...Transparency. ...Well if we look at the Auctions lately and even today, proves they show us a massive change of late and that supports scarcity is upon Iraq now for the USD. imo. A necessity of the IMF on Iraq ...They will need to cease the use of the USD as we know it. The future will be very different and it will curb corruption.. So, be patient and hopeful as there is no need to be worried or upset for that the devalue sets the stage for a revalue.. imo... That's all for today folks ... Blessings ... RON
