  1. CNN. Broadcasting With The Usual Pain In The Azz Fly In The Ointment ! Tension Between Abadi and Maliki Increases Pro-Maliki politicians demand dismissal of Iraqi Defence Minister Basnews | Karzan Sabah Hawrami views 27.04.2015 16:15 BAGHDAD State of Law bloc members of the Iraqi Parliament and pro-Maliki figures are putting pressure on the Iraqi Prime Minister to dismiss the Minister of Defence. A number of Iraqi MPs who support the former Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki are lining up against the Minister of Defence Khaled al-Obaidi. They accuse him of responsibility for the crisis at the Sarsar military base in February. Islamic State (IS) militants surrounded an Iraqi army regiment containing 80 soldiers and officers at the base near Fallujah, north of Baghdad. The trapped soldiers and officers were later rescued by the Iraqi army, allaying concerns that another Camp Speicher-type massacre might take place. Some political commentators believe the action indicates a rise in hostility between Maliki and Abadi, State of Law member Sattar Ghanm revealed that a large number of MPs wish to question the Defence Minister about the Sarsar incident. Abadi has been asked to dismiss Khaled al-Obeidi. Local media reports that as Maliki is blamed for the failure of Iraqi army, pro-Maliki supporters and the State of Law are attempting to put part of the blame on the current prime minister. http://www.basnews.com/en/news/2015/04/27/tension-between-abadi-and-maliki-increases/
