Iraq achieved an important achievement in its interconnection project with Jordan by completing the construction of an additional high-voltage substation 33/132 kV .

 

Imad Mishaal al-Dulaimi, District Commissioner of Rutba in Anbar Governorate, confirmed, "The Iraqi side succeeded in completing the technical aspects of the electrical connection project ."

 

This project, located in the Iraqi province of Anbar, is expected to start operations by the end of August. It aims to address the ongoing power outages that have long affected the Rutba area .

 

Initially, Jordan will supply 50 megawatts of electricity to Iraq as part of the first phase, with the overall project eventually reaching a large capacity of 150 megawatts.
