    According to the media office of the Prime Minister in a brief statement received (Mawazine News) a copy, that "Abdul Mahdi, declares a general mourning for three days from Thursday to Saturday on the lives of martyrs of demonstrators and security forces."
    It is scheduled to address Abdul Mahdi, this evening, a speech to the Iraqi people on the recent demonstrations in the capital Baghdad and southern provinces and other cities.
    An informed source told (Mawazine News), "The speech of Abdul-Mahdi, will include the announcement of a third package of reforms and decisions that come in response to the demands of the demonstrators."
    The government announced earlier, two packages of decisions to meet the demands of the demonstrators who demanded the provision of services and jobs and an end to unemployment and accountability of corrupt people.

    i didn’t know this, and it has nothing to do with our investment but thought it was interesting info as we were talking..

     

    In 1982, the district was renamed Saddam City

    After the foreign occupation of Baghdad in April 2003, the district was unofficially renamed Sadr City after deceased shiite leader Mohammad Mohammad Sadeq al-Sadr.

    The reform package is actually on the news..

    Now, about the lower denoms to be distributed soon(this was on the news also but only they talked about the 500, 1000, and 250 dinars...when i went back and read the history...iam in the belief that the CBI may also be given out the lower denoms lower than they previously announced....not to mention the coins.The CBI was about to distribute them right before the protests happened...we saw on the news about the armored money trucks came marching out of the green zone and went into undisclosed area...these trucks with money in them are to be distributed to designated banks...given the history when they replaced sadams money with the new bill at a ONE TO ONE rate...the rate at the time(2003) was 3000 plus dinars to one dollar...to 1170plus to one dollar. The date was Oct 15 2003 to Jan 15 2004...This time frame is about to be repeated comes Oct 15.....Jan15...

    The House of Representatives on Tuesday voted on the government's proposals on protesters' claims.

    A parliamentary source told Alsumaria News that the parliamentary committee formed on the demands of the demonstrators recommends that the victims of the demonstrations be considered martyrs and compensate the wounded, noting that the parliamentary committee formed on the demands of the demonstrators also recommended the launch of a regular FINANCIAL GRANT for the unemployed graduates and others.

    Yup....same thing happened before(   Between 15 October 2003, and 15 January 2004, the Coalition Provisional Authority issued new Iraqi dinar coins and notes) will happen again..only this time will be the lower notes n coins...hope u saw the news of those 12 armored money trucks that left the green zones
