Thank You, All, for sharing your concerns and uneasiness. I think there are a variety of different issues to weigh as far as the viability of this speculative investment. Maybe some considerations:

Iraq has vast natural resources such as crude oil, gold, minerals such as uranium among others, agriculture (significant potential), and tourism (significant potential both religiously and other).

Iraq had been under a dictatorship that did not allow for much, if any, economic growth that Iraq could easily sustain if reasonably directed internally and internationally. The Government Of Iraq has substantially changed while regional and international governments are welcoming the "new" Iraq and interacting with the "new" Iraq in ways significantly different than with the "old" Iraq.

The core Iraq financial systems have taken a quantum leap from the Prehistoric/Stone Age to the UltraModern Age. Even developed countries have a noticeable gap between their systems and the new Iraqi systems. Iraq is also heavily promoting and implementing their electronic banking system for the Iraqi citizens.

The Silk (Rail) Road is being promoted through Iraq for international commerce. May seem like a inconsequential issue but the old Silk Roads were highly lucrative for both the East and West. China is on board with the Silk (Rail) Road through Iraq.

There are probably other things to consider for a positive economic outlook for Iraq not mentioned here.

Some concerns that likely need to be sufficiently addressed:

ISIS - appears to be winding down. Once all of Mosul is taken, the rest of Iraq should be taken quickly.

Turkey - appears they will be out of Iraq once all of Mosul is taken. We'll see.

Iran - a significant concern for fomenting sectarian violence. My opinion is somehow Iranian elements will need to be sufficiently purged from Iraq so that Iraq is sovereign apart from Iran.

Corruption - appears to beginning to be addressed with some fundamental issues established and practices taking hold.

Major Corrupt Characters - I suspect this could be a "surprise" "one fell swoop" to address bad actors like Maliki. Once all of Mosul is taken, more attention could be focused on Maliki and other cohorts for Crimes Against Humanity.

Necessary laws for the citizens and country - lots of rhetoric but may be further along than what is in the news - or not.

All this to support Iraq is a stable investment worthy Sovereign State. The major credit rating agencies may begin to reflect the investment worthy nature of Iraq once key thresholds, like ISIS elimination, have been reached. The transformation Iraq has gone through the last fifteen years is incredible and substantial. Some necessary things will still take a while to get in place while others should be implemented fairly easily once the conditions support their implementation. The risk is Iraq falling apart via sectarian violence and Civil War then falling into the hands of a more sinister entity to foment corruption and terrorism in the country and rest of the world. The reward is a stable and economically prosperous country (Iraq) integrated in the world economy. This reward will have significant noticeably positive influence on Iraq and the rest of the world. A significant factor to jump start the economic integration of Iraq into the world economic system is the implementation of the Strategic Framework Agreement with the US coupled with the massive reconstruction of Iraq. My opinion is the IQD will need to revalue at the onset of significant investment being poured into Iraq to prevent substantial inequities down the road due to the IQD comparative value that could bankrupt one or more economic trade partners. All this to say many international entities have a vested interest in the very short to near term success of Iraq and will assert themselves to that end.

Just some of my thoughts and :twocents: while we wait. I, too, get investment weary at times but try to keep things in perspective. I still maintain this is a viable speculative investment. I, quite honest, thought this would have happened a few years back but I knew this speculative investment would provide benefit in it's own time. I do think this speculative investment is at a cross road in the very near future where either the show gets on the road or internal issues will take over in Iraq and push the potential for an IQD revaluation out five to ten more years due to sectarian violence, expanding corruption, and human atrocities. I don't think that will happen for reasons internal to and external from Iraq.

Hope you all have some plentiful, good, hot, and fresh coffee this morning and Top Of The Morning To You All!

    Go Moola Nova!

    Mr. Synopsis,

As always, your analysis is spot on.

The one thing that sticks in my mind comes from the 3,000 foot view.

The war machine has run it's course in Iraq and will move off to it's next venue.

There has been WAY to much preparation by outside investors to make a lot of money in a secure environment.

I HIGHLY doubt these players will allow the sectarian violence propagated by outside influences (Iran, Syria, etc.) to cut into their profits which is good for us.

    Thank you for you thoughts.

    Anytime, CaptainBVI! :tiphat:

Glad to see you back and I hope to meet you in person - SOON!

Yeah, hopefully we won't be reading all these updates too much longer trying to figure out what is going on over there in Iraq and elsewhere related to Iraq. I suspect we will see a barrage of news once the "all clear" of ISIS is announced in West Mosul. Hope so and it is all good so we can close this chapter and be on to the next!

    Go Moola Nova!

    :twothumbs:

Very much looking forward to it myself.

That will start the "De-Aging" process we all need.

I really don't feel the rest of the world will allow any delays once the country is cleared of these vermin.

    WAY to much investment involved.

    Saturation.

That is the word for the day. I've been talking for yrs about a scientific book that I read when I was in the Marien's called," The Hundredth Monkey Syndrome". The theory being that everything is somehow connected to a collective conscience.  They had two islands that both had monkeys living on them. None of the monkeys would peel their bananas before eating them. So the scientist put hidden cameras on one island and never went back. On the other island they began teaching the monkeys how to peel a banana while observing the other monkeys on the control island. What happened was that when a certain percentage of monkeys had been taught how to peel a banana SUDDENLY on the control island that no one was allowed to go to the monkeys began to also peel their bananas.

There is another project called the," Egg Project", {AKA, The Global Consciousness Project } that studies the same thing. It show that weeks before the Indonesian tsunami that killed over 300,000 people the words water, flood, tsunami, and earthquake were being used much more on the internet than normal. Thus revealing what they call, " the collective conscience".

What happened on the island that the monkeys were taught to peel their bananas was that at the point of SATURATION other monkeys hundreds of miles away instinctively knew how to do it. I would like to postulate that we have now reached the point of SATURATION which is always right before the event is to occur.

I truly believe this because I am something of an observer of people and I've noticed recently a specific change in behavior, both in actions and in emotions. And I'm not only referring to everyone here. Here most everyone has an elevated level of excitement that on the surface seems almost unrealistic and founded in flights of fantasy. But we know what we know. On the outside world I see others that for no reason at all seem to have feelings of anger and fear and sorrow. As if they instinctively know they have missed something. And what everyone seems to be talking about in both the dinar world and outside the dinar world is, "CURRENCY".

A long post I know, but be sure about it my brothers and sisters we have now reached the event horizon, and the point of total SATURATION.

OUR LONG AWAITED EVENT IS LOOMING OVER OUR HEADS.

    LGD,

    Thanks for sharing.

I lost interest in utilizing the TV/Internet for entertainment long ago and went back to reading.

To that end, I began studying the work of Michio Kaku and really enjoyed it.

While I'm definitely more of a science based individual, I do believe there is a consciousness out there.

Everyone believes in there own way, in something. The more we look with an open mind, the more we recognize that everything is connected and points to a, "collective consciousness". I go with that term as it is the best thus far.

I have no doubt we will understand it when we are ready but not before. The journey is half the fun and we are hard wired with the desire to answer this question.

    That is curious in itself.

    Thanks again, great read.

    Yes Sir,

Honesty is always the best policy and because I am an Eagle Scout (funny the things that stick with you and appreciate after many, many, many decades) I'll keep preparedness in mind.

Yes and my choice of a new wardrobe will be a new pair of shorts and a tank top for the Post RV gathering where we'll trade ideas.

I'm probably ditching the shoes FOREVER!

Take care my friend and Go RV!!!

    Mr. Finley,

    If so, definitely! But...

This has to be some of the miscommunication we were looking for and pretty good at that. There is WAY, WAY to much money contracted, invested and expected in an ROI from the PTB to go back into the stone age with Malarkey. It's just my opinion but it is coming to a head and the big guys in worlds monetary system are not going to go for, "We'll catch you next year...".

this is the only post I even come close to regretting simply because in fact this guy does post a lot of really good news articles that I cannot find anywhere else and I was in defense mode as everyone was attacking me for asking a simple question.

Interesting thread to say the least...

I have seen some of the news you mention but Mr. Montana owns this playground and we respect his rules or we do not get to play.

An honest answer to your first question, we really do know for certain as there no way to verify the intent of the statement or any facts. At that point, we usually shake our heads and move on as we've heard it many times.

Speculative Long Term Investment - yes we all know this and have for a very LONG time.

Impatient - Patients turned to impatient about a decade ago for the most of us.

Deserve to profit form Iraq - We are minnows in a very large ocean of big fish going down this path. We're just picking up crumbs and most of us have pledged to improve the lives of others when the event transpires.

Most of us ended up here because we were tiered of the constant B.S. from the Guru sites and found it a place to discuss and VENT in a somewhat safe environment with the respect of others. The best place is on the other side of the VIP curtain where many great discussions occur.

Some of us are at this point, pretty grumpy, testy and need a long vacation. Myself included...

There are many on this site far more knowledgeable on this subject than I and a great source of information. Please feel free to use it.

There are two pieces of advise I can give you; 1) Use the Rumors section for entertainment purposes only. 2) Do not pi$$ off the Sarg's Gals.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program, have a nice day.

I was wondering how long it would take for the crybabies to show up.

This is a WIN anyway you slice it!  One spontaneous, precision air strike, a few planes taken out, no one killed... and a giant shot of testosterone to the image of America.  Iran is worried for the first time since Reagan.  Kim Jong Un is filling his diaper as we speak!  And Russia is thrown off balance (and probably regretting their "interference" in our election!!!;).  The Left and Right are very confused!

Who cares what the details are?  Assad was not to have chemical weapons (obummer and Susan Rice assured us they had removed them 'diplomatically').  Let Trump be Trump... he's always thinking several moves ahead.  For very little effort or loss, he has kicked some ass for a change (instead of just kicking the can down the road like the weak, feckless obummer regime).

    Many birds, one stone.

    W,

    My thoughts exactly.

    WE'RE BACK, now behave...

    Yes, Yes - Money Explosion!

    According to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/moola

    Definition of moola

    slang

    :  money

    Also according to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nova

    Definition of nova

    plural

    novas

     or

    novae

    play\ˈnō-(ˌ)vē, -ˌvī\

:  a star that suddenly increases its light output tremendously and then fades away to its former obscurity in a few months or years

The Nova sudden light output is because of a massive star explosion. Can also be known as Super Nova or Hyper Nova depending on the size of the star.

Pretty sure there will be money all over the place immediately post event. The key, to me, is being able to make wise choices via wealth protection and prudent investments. Lots of folks met their demise of various sorts and have lost the windfall. Also, to me, the easy part is now. The much harder part is post event. I suspect life will be tough for a while until the right choices and changes are made to prevent the windfall from becoming a temporary flash in the pan. I believe I am fortunate to be a part of the DV Platinum VIP and OSI offerings to help me attain my wealth protection and prudent investment goals for legacy purposes.

Many folks here like to say, "Go RV" and rightly so! Hey, I'm just trying to be a little stylish with my own rendition! :o   :D

    Did I answer your question?

    In the mean time............................

    Go Moola Nova!

Since the "Universe Channel" as my wife calls it is really the only show I regularly watch, the saying. is perfect!

Note: While she is interested, it puts her right to sleep.

Thanks for the explanation now let's this show on the road!

Let's talk more on the other side of the event! My goodness, we have a good group of folks here and no tellin' what we can all come up with!

Including, well, you know, the cigars (among a host of other things)!

    Cigars, absolutely.

    Looking forward to it.

A combined list between all the DV survivors would be interesting and keep us entertained for quite a while.

As there are no stupid questions in life, what is Moola Nova?

An explosion of money comes to mind but I'm curious.

I agree with you, 10 Years Later!

Iraq received in the last month or so an 18 billion dollar loan (I did not see this loan coming, did anyone?) with an announcement that 9 billion of the loan was given to Kuwait to satisfy the associated sanctions - if I understand correctly - in full.

Yep! BAM, boys & girls, keep the Depends in the designed appropriate location - pretty sure they will serve us all well for the next part of the ride - gently braking into the roller coaster off loading area!!!
