  1. NT: Prime Minister Maliki withdraws from 3rd term candidacy, National Alliance nominates 5 candidates

July 30, 2014 by Abdelhak Mamoun No Comments

z URGENT: Prime Minister Maliki withdraws from 3rd term candidacy, National Alliance nominates 5 candidatesBaghdad (IraqiNews.com) On Wednesday, the MP for the Liberal bloc, Riad al-Saadi indicated that the National Alliance has five candidates for the post of prime minister, including al-Jaafari and al-Shahristani while noting that the outgoing  Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, withdrew his candidacy for the post because of political pressure.

Saadi said, in an interview for IraqiNews.com, that “the National Alliance has five candidates for the post of prime minister,” noting that “three of these candidates of the National Coalition: Ahmed Chalabi, Ibrahim al-Jaafari and Aadi Abdul-Mahdi and the other two from the state of law; they are Khodair al Khozai and Hussain al-Shahristani.”

al-Saadi noted that “the outgoing Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, withdrew his candidacy for the post,” attributing the reason that “there was pressure from other political blocs.”

al-Saadi added “Shahristani has a lot of policies and relations, but Maliki nominated Alkhozai because he is from his party.”

The religious authority Mr. Mahmoud Hashemi considered, on July 29, 2014, that the nomination of a president of the new government in Iraq must be determined as a set apart by the polls, stressing the adherence to the constitutional entitlement of the new government.

  2. I can tell you why. I have never personally negged Sandfly, or any of the thankers, because I only hit someone with red if I feel they are being abusive, but I probably have the same thoughts as those who would neg Sandfly. His "Thanks" posts are frivolous, time wasting, and often confusing, especially the ones where he has missed a day of "Thank you"s and starts bumping threads from the day before, bringing outdated threads up to the top and making a lot of folks think those old posts are current. Also, we now have two other thankers who are doing the same thing, and when a thread gets bumped to the top, a lot of folks click on it, thinking there's going to be some interesting commentary, only to see three thank you's. I understand that people want to show their appreciation, but, and I know Yota will back me up on this because he did this morning, Yota doesn't need to be thanked, by the same person, for every article he brings. He knows he is appreciated.

By the way, thanks, everyone who searches for articles. I really appreciate all your hard work.

Agreed REV, it is annoying, I would not neg them but it is annoying.

  3. oh, you're one of those.....................

No not really, just do not care much for negative people in general.

China is correct....The CBI is actively trying to maintain the rate to within 2% according to the IMF requirements. They must do so in order to prove to the IMF that they can in fact control their currency. In doing so they will be allowed to move to Article 8.

    thanks Tripp.

  4. you don't know anything about my glass  :cowboy1:

    street 1212  cbi 1166  currently

street 1640  cbi 1640  jan 2004  it was the same then

street 1372  cbi 1375  jan 2004  street had higher value than cbi

    why didn't it RV then?

    street 1481  cbi 1479  apr 2006

    there are hundreds more examples

with your theory, the cbi won't move until the market rate runs significantly higher, but it's not even close now. You don't think that's important?

didn"T  RV because it is not article 8 compliant, but it is closer to being compliant at 1212 than 1217...............my opinion, I"m intitled to one...............Your smart comments are nothing but negative energy, very reflective of you.

I understand that I look at it everyday, your are correct it was 1210 in june, but then it rose to 2117 3 weeks ago, then it dropped to 1215, now it has dropped to 1212........so, we are again heading in the right direction................I think your glass is half empty, not half full...........good day sir.

  6. I respectfully disagree that it means nothing, If it is true that the cbi needs to become article 8 and they are required to to be within the 2% spread to become article 8 then then it does mean something to be at 1212 instead of 1215 or 1217 when the goal is 1202.
