  1. Here's another but I think Reidar wrote this like a week or so ago.  I'm just contacted him on twitter to see if he has any more recent reports.  The guy is a genius.

5-28-13 Reidar Visser (Gulf Analysis): Much more will likely be written about this in coming days and weeks, but it is already now worth taking note of a letter sent from the Iraqi prosecutor general to the presidency of the Iraqi parliament, asking them to replace Iraq’s current president Jalal Talabani due to his prolonged absence for health reasons.

The letter was first reported by media leaks, but it is now published on the website of the Iraqi judiciary, meaning it is definitely official and enjoys the support of the judiciary as an institution.

    kabr.jpg?w=383&h=525

The question of when, during a period of prolonged absence, the Iraqi president needs to be replaced is not well defined by the Iraqi constitution. Nor is there bylaws for the presidency that govern this question.

The major issue concerns interpretation of article 72, which says a new president must be elected if the incumbent president “vacates” his post for any reason.

The question then is, who should decide that the president’s absence is so prolonged that it satisfies the criteria for replacement as per article 72? The Iraqi judiciary today gives us the answer by referring to article 1 of the law of the state prosecution service, dating from the Baath era.

That law, slightly amended in 2006,  gives the prosecution service the job of defending the order of the state, and it is presumably in such a capacity it now deems itself capable of intervening.

This latest step by the Iraqi judiciary raises the question of whether replacing Talabani may finally have received the support of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, who has seen Talabani as a friend among the Kurds, and whose own political ally Khudayr al-Khuzaie has effectively controlled the presidency in the absence of Talabani and with the other vice-presidents either resigned (Abd al-Mahdi) or in exile (Hashemi).

Barham Saleh, also from Talabani’s PUK,  is reported as a possible replacement candidate. The Iraqi parliament will vote on a replacement; the aim is a two-thirds majority but if no one reaches that level, a simple-majority run-off vote will be held.  http://gulfanalysis.wordpress.com/

  2. Sorry if this is a repeat but I didn't see it listed.

5-28-13 BBC Video: Former British prime minister Tony Blair has told a BBC programme about the Iraq war that he would rather have quit as prime minister than let down the Americans.

The documentary contains interviews with Mr Blair, former US Vice President **** Cheney, senior CIA officers and former Iraqi generals and intelligence chiefs.

In this extract, Mr Blair discusses the crucial vote in the House of Commons over whether to go to war without a second UN resolution.

Raad Hamdani, a former general in the Iraqi Republican Guard, also recalls what Saddam Hussein said to his commanders on the eve of war.

  3. My next possible interview will be with someone I have great respect for.  He is a researcher at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs. He holds a doctorate in middle-eastern studies from the University of Oxford. He specializes in Iraqi politics and will be able to give us some great insight into their stability or lack there of and what the future may hold.  Now I've never heard him comment on the future of their currency and am not sure which questions he will feel comfortable answering in that regard but I have read this guy for years and am blown away by his sagacious ability to provide accurate research and never shy away from controversial topics.  Anyway, we'll see what happens.  His secretary told me to expect a prompt response from him and I also correspond with him in other ways. Hopefully, soon I will have this locked up for us and we'll all gain a little more insight into what is truly going on in Iraq right now.

5-23-13 SWFloridaGuy: It was my privilege to speak with the Senior Vice President for an international oil company. He is also a Strategic Resource Developer specializing in funding humanitarian projects globally and has connections with some of the most influential and powerful entities in the world.

My questions are listed first, followed by his response.

    1. Iraq has emerged as the world's fastest growing economy in 2012 and 2013, according to Bank of America Merrill Lynch and many others. Do you think that this among other factors warrants a RV/Float/Lop/PEP etc., of their currency and if so which route do you think they'll take?

    2. The finance committee and CBI have mentioned that the Iraqi dinar may be going international soon. Do you think this implies raising the rate prior as a requirement or do you think it's in their best interest to take a more gradual, long-term approach to growth raising the IQD only a few pips at a time?

    3. There were some studies done by Harvard and some independent research groups that suggested that Iraq should change the peg to a more broad based commodity peg or a PEP that includes oil in a basket with other currencies. Do you agree with this?

    4. How significant of a role do you believe that political stability is right now and would it hamper or postpone the CBI moving forward with economic reform machination at this time?

    5. Considering recent reports, how close do you believe Iraq is to joining the WTO with full accession?

Maybe I missed it...but did he answer any of your questions?...I thought they were great questions and would have enjoyed hearing his responces.

I understand, I can't control which direction they decide to take the interview in.  I asked him about that and his response was we are not looking at the big picture and centralize our conclusions and fail to see the entire picture.  I will repeat, this is not some Nesara idiot or WGS guy.  Anyway, I have great respect for him even though you know I choose to focus on completely different issues and of course that may be a mistake of mine but I choose to believe the only way to judge what the CBI is planning to do is by watching the preparatory steps taken (laws passed, finance committee/CBI/IMF/UN report etc...   I don't know who the PTB is, don't really care to and if they control the Milky Way galaxy, well, how the heck would I know what they're planning to do anyway.

  4. Nobody is interviewing me, claiming that I'm "the Senior Vice President for an international oil company" or that I have "connections with some of the most influential and powerful entities in the world." We're all aware of the massive amount of fraud involved with the dinar. One man who was recently convicted of dinar fraud also claimed that he was a VP. I just think claims like this need verification to be taken serious.

Do you know who Duckyboy is?  Probably one of the biggest anti-guru, skeptical but knowledgeable out there. Also, has been banned from every pumper chat room around the same time I did a few years ago and was one of the first to open my eyes to their deception. Ask him is this contact is real. You have no idea what you're talking about however I can understand your skepticism.

Believe what you will. I've already mentioned that that I am in negotiations with some real experts in the field and from now on I promise I will provide their full names and biography as part of the post so you can judge their credentials for yourself.  It's not as easy as you think to get these men/women who are professionals in this field to comment on this subject but I have been able to find some. It takes a lot of effort and you have to jump through many hoops, speaking with their people first, to even get the opportunity to reach them personally.  It takes time.

  5. SWFG...I wish you would have asked him about their money supply and how they could pay for a 100,000% increase in valueG

That's a very good point.  Sorry for not asking that one because it is of course of great importance.  I will include it in my next interview.

    Does Scooter post anymore?

Haven't seen him in a while but I always loved his posts because he would bring up issues I had never even contemplated before.  Very thought provoking and well-spoken.

  6. A 'huge' gain is a long-shot. Many grounded people here may consider that to be true. Some of us are hoping to see some changes for the better. Maybe switching back to a crawling-peg regime will provide a chance for the official rate to rise. Is it possible for them to switch back to this currency exchange system? Of course so, history in recent years shows that they have done it and it can be something that they switch back to... So we may see small improvements from time to time, but if overall the adjustments are continuously in our favor, than we may see profits.

Many of us here are doubtful of a huge R/V. But the definition of huge may vary among most. I highly doubt that I will wake up and find out one day that each unit of IQD is worth $0.10 or higher, but achieving $0.10 in the long-term is not impossible. But, we can all sit here and argue the future, but none of us can see it but only offer opinions.

All investments have downsides... You can lose a little bit of value or possibly lose an entire investment.

But to say it is impossible to reach $0.01 is rather entertaining. If it requires 100% of liquid asset reserves to reach that point, I can see that your argument holds some ground. But, its not like they'll stick with 1166 forever. Changes may eventually have to occur. They may reach 1000:1, they may make their way to 750:1 from there, and slowly continue rising the value. Overnight? Hard to see it as a possibility... But it could reach that point.

The downside is even Iraqis within their own nation do not have demand for their own currency. They seek dollars. Must not be a whole lot of incentive to hold dinars...

Keep posting man, I have great respect for your acumen and only wish you posted more often.  Also, would love to hear more from Billi0, Carrello, and Trinityexchange. Enoch8 & Scooter.... of course the list goes on here with so many great intellects.  Please forgive me for all those I forgot to mention, I'm sure I'll be kicking myself 5 minutes after I post this for omitting many great researchers, just typing on fly here.

  7. Regardless of timing, the underlying value of the IQD will ultimately be supported by:

    • Massive Oil Reserves
    • Massive Natural Gas Reserves
    • Unexploited Gold in the ground (allegedly massive)
    • Massive Ag Potential (Food & Water supplied by the Fertile Crescent)

Realizing the full 'potential' of these resources will require capitalization/technology investment that simply will not occur at any kind of accelerated pace without a viable currency in place to support it (other than crude oil alone).

1000 iQD per 1 US simply will not cut the mustard!

geman - what the heck? The Elite only care about one thing and one thing only! Power/Control of the masses. Read some of the materials that SWFG's Interview suggested and wake up.

  9. Yep.

Of course they won't.....Of course they will.

But  your talent would be wasted on Okie. Jmho.

    Another more substantial opponent...Yes.

Like John Jagerson-Darin (intelligent individual) ....That would be a good one....It'd get interesting for most. Jmho.

Or John Jagerson vs Darin  and SWFG.....A debate lover's dream.

If you're speaking of Darin from DV, I wouldn't debate him. First of all I agree with almost everything he says whether I admit it or not and have way too much respect for his intellect.

  10. Those who support Fox News and Bill O'Reily have every right to do so.  However, I think it's best if I avoid this topic altogether.  I rarely show magnanimity toward those I consider doltish, although it does appear to be something I portray in a format such as this.  Maybe that's a character defect I need to work on but for the time being lets avoid this discussion.

  11. Let me try SWFG... What in the H. E. double hockey sticks was that. I am now a little dumber for reading that.

Its amazing we complain when this make believe keeps shoveling this out to the public. Its like Seinfeld in Bizarro World.

Even when he doesn't want to post he still finds a way. Truly amazing!

    The Dude Abides...

I can't ever argue with the dude abiides.  I stilll think that's the coolest chat room name ever!!

  12. Brings back some really tough memories SnowGlobe.  It's kind of hard to explain what that's like unless you've experienced it yourself.  What hurts the most is losing irreplaceable items like family photos and certain memorabilia sent down through the family.  It's heart breaking.  On a positive note, none of my family members lost their lives.  I can't imagine what something like that would be like. I'd probably go to a very dark place.  I'm always amazed when I see people being interviewed with such positive attitudes even after they've been through something so horrific.

    ........chess thinks you are right!

Considering your name you wanna meet me at chess.com for a friendly match?   I'm a total chess nerd.

  13. maggie my family is fine, but we know people that this has devastated. People have lost their babies and it is just so hard to explain.

You have nothing to apologize...just for him to even use this event as an excuse not to post his crap just mad me so angry.

We are TRUE oklahomas and we will be fine...we always are, but frankly this is an awful catastrophy, and the news and picture just do not do it justice.

I personally spoke to a woman that was in her bathtub, sitting on her son under 2 years old, while holding the hair of her daughter who was flying in the air and being sucked away. The Mothers hand broke in the pressure. She lost her entire home, but her kids are safe. To bring a smile, the father was trying to get the daughter to cut her hair for the summer, but the daughter talked her parents into waiting until her birthday party was over so she had long hair for her birthday pictures. The Mom said is her hair had been cut there would of been no way to save her daughters life. Her birthday is Sunday.

During hurricane Charley in Port Charlotte we got hit by a category 5 dead on. My whole family including my grandparents hid in the bathtub and all thought we were gonna die for sure. Roof was ripped off, tree went through our front door and a tornado tore up our backyard and left a trail about a football field long going through the woods. When it was all over slowly the entire neighborhood emerged to see what was left and no one said a word. We were in shock due to the devastation. None of us had power for weeks and after a few days we when we were able to drive to the next city (Punta Gorda) where the military was providing us with water I saw every species of bird you can imagine stuck in the metal fence that was on either side of the bridge border. I'll never forget it.
