Is this what we went to war for?? and lost 4500 American lives... and 100's of thousands of people injured??? They should have never pulled out without making this bunch of fools RV.
Are you saying that it would have been worth 45000 amercan lives if they would have RV'ed by now? And what about all the non American lives lost? Does it make it ok as long as you and I make out ahead? I'm not trying to raz you. It's just a question I have.

Capital punishment is not profitable enough for America.

I hope more can open theirs eyes and minds in the coming days, things seem to be accelerating. Did you guys hear about the copters doing special ops training in a few major cities? Google it, it's freaky.

Well yeah, when we have consumed all of the resources from everywhere else in the world, we gotta keep a stash for our selves!

Wow, now I am starting to see how you 5,6+ year investors must feel.

I am glad to see a bit of discustion on this topic. Being invested in the Dinar has raised a lot of questions for myself on why we are in the middle east. I enjoy my freedom as much as any of you, but I am sick of people spouting off about how we are fighting for the Iraqi peoples freedom. Like that is a good enough reason to have gone to war in Iraq. And people that think the war in Iraq has to do with our freedom here in the US. People are so afraid to look unpatriotic by not supporting the troops that they won't even question what the troops are doing or what their cause is. I am sad to see the American people so weak that we cannot bring the real terrorists of our nation to any kind of justice. Corruption is to out of control with the leaders of our country that they can just pass laws that hinder us and empower them freely. I just feel that the general population is to busy and to distracted to ever regain controll of our nation.

You either think there is money to be made or you don't. Nothing wrong with staying level headed. But don't expect them to come out and say "We are going to RV on 1/1/13 and you all will make lots of money." Go find anouther investment if you are not 100% sure about this one.

Well we knew the demostration would start if progress was not made last winter to supply power. My God, the temperature is getting up to 119 F over there I'd be rioting instead of demonstrating.
The heat is more fuel for the fire, don't you think?

this article convinces me that it will happen in the "coming days" or at least "soon"

This is good. We should be watching for more news like this.

I know my water pipe is important to me, I'm glad we have something in common.

It is good that parliament is now saying this.

Wow Jcav, bit hostile there. I would say each person is intitled to their opinions. Carlos had some truth in there. The truth can hurt sometimes I guess. The fact is our government lies to us on a regular basis. If you think other wise, well, I guess I kinda feel sorry for you.

The new dinar that a RD (I really encourage folks to stop using "LOP") will produce will (at least initially) be exchanged for $0.86 USD. Isn't that 1000x higher than the current dinar? Seems like it does just what the CBI claims.
So what about raising it's value against other currencies? Don't you think that if they RV at $.86 they will need to RD just so they can make change when they buy a loaf of bread? Yes yes I know, beating a dead horse.

Ugh... So tired of the camel jokes.
So a camel, a donkey, and a horse walk into a bar..... Haha just kidding.

"The CBI is working hard to boost the dinar’s value against major convertible currencies. A firmer currency along with the removal of zeros has been among the bank’s priorities."
I just don't see how a LOP would strenghthen the Dinar or raise it's value against other currencies. But that is what the CBI says is gonna happen. One of these days something will happen, that will be a good day, no matter what the outcome is.

They make it sound like Shabibi said this part " stressing his quest to unify the exchange rate between him and the local markets, denying at the same time, any deterioration of the value of Iraqi dinar."
-
I am suprised that they have any money left at all with so many news articals about theft.
-
Think of all the energy and time we all put into the Dinar. What if it is just a diversion. To keep the world focused on it while they get ready to pull the rug out from underneath us.

General Motors says it sold 32,000 vehicles in Iraq last year. That is up from 19,000 in 2010 and fewer than 1,500 just five years ago.
Iraq recently became GM's second biggest regional market after Saudi Arabia, said John Stadwick, the company's Mideast president and managing director. Business is so good that GM is building a fancy new showroom that Stadwick predicts "will probably be the nicest building in Baghdad" when it opens later this year.
Does this get you all worked up, or is it just me?
