  1. Called on Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to hold a national meeting next week, as announced the resolution of all files of Iraq's relationship with Arab countries and the United Nations.

Called al-Maliki during his meeting yesterday with the Preparatory Committee for the meeting of the National completing its work as soon as possible, saying in a statement received "morning," a copy of it, the urgent need to review all issues and matters relating to the building of the Iraqi state after the withdrawal of U.S. forces.

see all these were to be finished right after our troops left....building of the Iraqi state after the withdrawal of U.S. forces.....now they can start right after their guest leave, we hope..

Comes to schedule the national meeting to cut off any doubt of holding this important meeting after several meetings of the Preparatory Committee.

On the other hand, Prime Minister during his meeting with a number of notables and elders the families of the province of Baghdad, said that "Iraq is witnessing these days sophisticated in its relations with the countries of the world, especially Arab ones, and was able to settle all outstanding files, both with the United Nations or the Arab countries."....

......if you don't like this part we are all in trouble;....was able to settle all outstanding files, both with the United Nations or the Arab countries."....

Thanks Ingraham for the news and RSS for the link...here's this bold guy following me around again....:o:lol:

  2. By the way I was being sarcastic by saying right to 2013,

IMO things couldn't point any better to this being the time but I wanted to share fnbplanet thoughts and vary good advice IMO.

Folks, we're going to see some weird articles that will either elate us or deflate us in the next few days/weeks. Government people are keeping secrets, maybe saving key announcements for maximum exposure at just the right moments. Things like the HCL may (or may not) be done, but most of these sectarian yahoos that shoot their mouths off to the press may not be "in the loop" on any given subject. The media itself has an agenda to polarize their readers for circulation. In fact, that may be why they blab what little they know, in the hopes that someone higher up the food chain will let them in on a secret while telling them to shut their pie hole. Every last one of them has an agenda, and it's not about you.

Governments keep secrets and two sets of books - every government does this. The summit, remember, is now on a declared holiday. They want it to be a surprise (like the HCL, Chapter 7 release, Erbil. the RV, etc.), but they want the biggest impact out of the announcement(s). Not every member of Iraq's government is in on every secret.

Don't "freak" unless you're on the dance floor at the Bellagio with Carrello.

    Thanks fnb!!!!

  3. They Sounds just like us, they don't know what Shabibi has in Plan!!

That is exactly right yota, they don't know which way the CBI is going, see:

there are many proposals and the project to delete the zeros ensure that this proposal any time the equation of the value of the dinar per one dollar will be replacement

2013....right and the title to me tells it all too; ...

....Considerable debate on the value of shares after deletion of zeros....

......They are just trying to figure it out like we all are, including their own citizens.....

"Secrets News / We are not" on Monday that "

now lets take this out .....WE

"Secrets News / are not" on Monday that "

I still believe we will see the RV before they hold the Summit.....

I know, some may say I'm seeing RV in everything but it's better than seeing lop in everything..

  5. Yes, but what happen to educating their people and starting out 1 to 1 at first and then raising it? That does make sense, no? Have a great weekend peeps, be safe :D Still all good :D :D :D Thanks T and + 1 Stryk for always breaking it down, Sarge :D

They have all next week to educate their people, with the banks closed it's not like they can do anything except spend money. I was just joking about the $3.22 but it's not like I wouldn't take it....:P :P :P ..I would be obligated too....

  6. I think I remember reading this a few weeks ago too. I do remember someone saying that "in the next few days" meant about 2 weeks in Iraq time. And that was about 2 weeks ago I think....

    Go RV!!!! :D

After reading it several time because I thought the same thing I believe it has a few different statements in it as I don't remember the obligation part but I just may have missed it before.....and I think the other ones had lop material for the lopsters and this one doesn't IMO.

what's the date on this article??

24/03/2012 or 3/24/2012 or tomorrows news which is normal since it is 12:42 the 24th there now...

  7. I don't know about you folks but I like this part a lot;

"Secrets News / We are not" on Monday that "the central bank is responsible for fiscal policy and therefore obligated to take measures and controls to preserve the value of Iraqi dinar,"

    "Secrets News.....I like this

...but I really like this part because it sounds like they are not going to keep it Secret News anymore...We are not"

on Monday that.....that works for me, how about you guys?.....

"the central bank is responsible for fiscal policy and therefore obligated to take measures and controls to preserve the value of Iraqi dinar," .......obligate away is what I always say.......:P :P :P:unsure: ..really obligate it to where it was for all I care.....$3.22 or higher and I'll be obligated to you.....  :unsure: ....ssshhhh my wife is taking a nap.....:o..

  8. Thanks gamaray for the article!

We will see more conflicting news, I'm starting to think that we have a mole in our mist, he/she reads everything we write and then tells them what to write to throw us all off or they just like screwing with us and their own people. Actually I think none of them do any reporting, they just throw crap out daily to sell their crappy publications. That's why they are causing more problems as we see articles coming out daily stating that the media stated the wrong facts again. Every once in a while we can still catch a few pieces of the puzzle but IMO most of the pieces are on the table, in place and awaiting an announcement. So folks take these articles with a grain of salt.....

  9. 3-23-2012 SWFloridaGuru: Iraq is in the process of following through with the proper legislation necessary for full accession to the WTO. This is paramount to revitalizing their economy. The WTO is in place to help trade flow as freely as possible and support economic development. They help countries remove obstacles and develop policies that are compliant with and transparent to the world. To become full members of the WTO article VI stipulates that a country must have a convertible currency. Implementing phase 2 of Iraq's currency reform, deleting the zeros and raising the exchange rate is the only remaining step to meet these requirements. In addition to hosting the Summit next week, Iraq has taken steps to enhance economic growth and develop their financial sector to serve the nation. Iraq is in full compliance with all chapter 7 mandates. All that is left is for the UN to release them. This has always been a joint effort and the only way to ensure the stability of the dinar and provide the necessary financial plans for its development is by taking all the necessary steps that cannot be bypassed. We have witnessed more progress this month than ever before. Attaining an inclusive system is essential for sustainable development and the only way to maintain a stable, competitive, market-based system. Together with the IMF's instruction and approval Iraq will implement phase 2 of their currency reform project. A new rate will be sent from the CBI to the BIS and from there released back to all the central banks at a time that is impossible to pinpoint by design. Ignore constant date and rate predictions; they're a dead giveaway that someone doesn't understand the process. Follow the progress Iraq is making and be confident you are involved in the investment opportunity of the century. We have a real shot at this by the Summit. Let's see how it plays out.

Before the mods move this for not being a news article let me tell you that you have described this as I have myself in different breakdowns. I thank you for your insight to our investement and commend you for the way you have put it down for all to see.

    Thanks,

    Stryker

  10. thanks for following up with this for the community Stryker. very much appreciated. i agree with you that 80% of us want to know how every piece of information relates to the revaluation of the currency and as you put it very nicely, not everything will. however for those of us who have long term plans of investing in iraq, information like this is paramount. i eat this stuff up.

    if i might add...

the professor in the video spoke a lot on the gravity of the summit as it relates to the arab region on a whole. his response was more so that the arab league's power of influence is heavily tied to the united nations' actions. the arab league does not exert as strong an influence as some might suppose and most of the posturing that takes place within its body is toward the self interest of its members to improve their own countries economic situation.

one of the positives from this from a dinar investor's interest might be taken from those words though. the fact that the united nations has taken such a strong interest in the emergence of iraq, this might bold well for the arab league to get onboard as well since they apparently follow the lead of the UN. (just my 2 cents worth of thinking) perhaps this is why we have seen countries like egypt, kuwait, etc run to iraq to begin investing.

Wow, 3 minute of each others post, pretty good IMO...:P ....I knew this would bring more out in you, as always i like what you bring Trinity.....

BTW, I would really like to talk to you about post RV investments Trinity because I think we are both interested in Iraq after this pops....

  11. Stryker - they don't have to RV to pay for the summit IMO. I usually agree with all you say and love your analysis, but they could pay as they always do, with USD. Why not? Or pay in billlions of dinar. Either way. Perhaps their egos will take a dump, but perhaps not. These arabs know what's coming...they will wait until after the summit. It's just a dog and pony show - real work is behind the scenes

Well thanks for the complement hame55.

I don't want everyone to agree with everything I say anyway because I like it when people challenge my opinion the way you just did, it's the ones that do it with attitude that I don't care for and don't think I need to name names we know who those people are. They are the ones with over 5,000 post and only 300+ reputations.....:P ...

OK I like what you have brought here and I too have thought about these as I always try to play devils advocate before making post if I can.

    Here are some of my reasons I think they need to RV before;

    1) the UN still controls their DFI funds because they are not out of Chapter VII and they need there funds

    2) they had to get a loan from the Cabinet of 100 million in USD, why wouldn't they give them all 450 million at once to pay all of what it's taking to put this dog and pony show on, because they don't have enough IMO

    3) why haven't they spent the other 75 to 73% of their 2011 budget, because they don't have it and it is here in banks in the States, again because they cannot have it until out of Chapter VII.

    4) they don't want to spend the dinar for obvious reasons, it is going to RV and they do not want to spend it at today's value

    5) they do not have enough if my and others theory is correct and they have sucked in as much as Shabibi needs to RV, keep in mind that they need enough in circulation to keep the artificial economy going thru the daily auction thus keep the artificial rate of 1166, same goes with the USD.

    6) yes they can spend and have spent the USD but they also say it is leaving the country as fast as it comes in, see the USD is the revenue from oil sales that the UN lets them have, the rest is left in the banks here in the States.

    7) several articles about how much they owe on their contracts to companies like Exxon, if they had all their money to play with we would not hear about all of these. Again they worked the debt out to get the terms of the IMF done to get them out of VII, Exxon also said it was to hard to get money out of the GOI because they don't have it, it's here.

    8) why would they have surpluses from ever budget that has been past if they had access to the funds

    9) why are members of parliament asking why they haven't started the re-building process when they say that the budget has been past and the amendments should not hold all these project up, IMO it's because they can't spend what they don't have access to.

I can go on and on put I think this should give you and everyone my points on why they are not or can't spend what they don't have yet.

Here are a few things that point me in the direction of the urgency to get out of Chapter VII which will get them access to their funds.

    1) settled the debt with Kuwait, hence an article yesterday that stated from the PM of Kuwait that all agreement were made and it was up to the UN to release Iraq from VII

    2) the IMF states that a country must have all debt settled before they can make a change in the exchange rate, in this case IMO a revaluation of the Iraqi Dinar...I just like saying it...The Revaluation of The Iraqi Dinar....boy that makes me feel good..

    3) payment by wire transfer to Egypt to settle debt that should arrive in the Central Bank of Egypt by the 25th from a Citibank account here in the States.

    4) ambassador of Iraq meet with ambassador of Saudi Arabia to settle debt and work out bilateral relationships earlier this week

Again there is much more but I think this highlights the bigger ones

Now here is why I think the times good if they have everything worked out as in the Erbil Agreement which I think they do...

    1) security will never be better, Shabibi has stated that this ia a must to RV

    2) time to educate the citizens

    3) banks close for transitional reasons, what a better time than next week

    4) as JustNTime stated, the merchants will have plenty of time to re-price goods, they don't know it yet but they may need to close for a few days to do this.

    5) must the invited guest have relieved debt to Iraq and are there to talk about investment projects, what better timing IMO

If anyone has others to add or if you think I've lost my mind just let me have it, I would get offended....:D

  12. great find stryker! wow

    Thanks Trinity,

I had to watch it several times last night because it has so much info in it and after reading some of these peoples comments I re-watched it again this morning and it is apparent that they are missing some great info. Because they are focused on looking for things like Erbil, HCL, Chapter VII or anything that says RV and are missing the best parts. I know this because I too did the same thing, its called human nature.

The Professor is giving his opinion but what a great opinion it is, I'll point out a few that I think that are being missed but I would suggest that everyone re-watch this several times because I think it will make you feel better. But listen to every word that comes out of both the Professor and the Commentator's month because he is speaking directly in defense of Iraq and pointing out some facts as well.

Listen carefully to the Professor at the very beginning because he says that it will be great for Iraq to hold the summit.

Commentator; as a symbol of Iraq repairing as a nation, how much is riding on Iraq hosting this Summit

Professor; very much, quite a lot and one of the problems is with these bombing's is you have two really complex messages one is saying the current government cannot guarantee peace and security in the country at the same time it doesn't seem that there is national unity because there are some parties opposition parties in Iraq that are not very happy about the way the country is going politically or economically, foreign relations as well as where there independence with America relations and with other countries and with Iran.bla bla bla..he talk way to fast thru this part...a suspension that there are people that don't mind it happening which leads to the second point that is a message to the Arab countries that this is dangerous so that the people that are behind this are hoping at lest some of the Arab countries won't attend or hopes that they (Iraq) will not hold it.

The Summit will put Iraq back on the main stage with the rest of the Arab World....

You guys/gals that care too, can listen to the rest but keep in mind that this Professor may not know how much we know about how much security that we are reading about now that they are doing to make sure it goes off well.

He may not know that they could have all the Erbil ready to be announced, Chapter VII may be released or a possible RV coming either because he may not own dinar so doesn't look at it the way we do.

I think this is great because it shows me that Iraq is determined to put this show on.....but they need their DFI funds and the only way they are going to get them to pay for this big party is to have Chapter VII released and we know what happens after that.

  13. Thanks yota for the news, hound...:P ..good morning to you and all...:D ..

    This is intereseting....

For his part, called on Member of Parliament for the parliamentary bloc white Zuhair al-Araji, the disclosure of the terms of Erbil, which has been at the level of political leaders, pointing out that many of the deputies do not know details of the terms of the agreement, stressing that revealed details of the breach and to hold Bnodhaa.

called on Member of Parliament for the parliamentary bloc white Zuhair al-Araji, the disclosure of the terms of Erbil....here is this guy Mahmoud Othman, a Kurdistan Alliance MP asking Zuhair al-Araji a member of the parliamentary bloc to reveal the details of the Erbil agreement....

pointing out that many of the deputies do not know details of the terms of the agreement....I'm thinking that this is the details of the new agreement from the Preparation Meetings that there asking to be released...

See this is why I think it's the new agreed details of Erbil that should be revealed soon...which has been at the level of political leaders..and this also tells me that they are having the National Meetings or have had the meetings and everything is getting the last minute details worked out or have been completed...

Looks like everyone including us wants to know why their not telling us/them yet...

I could be wrong but that's how I'm reading it....

  14. Trinity, thank you for your insight, very well done and I couldn't agree with you more. Maliki is trying to hold on as long as he can for some reason. They IMO should have pushed him harder a long time ago but not by boycotting but by an open parliament no-confidence hearing and taken him out or forced his hand to his agreement. They are running out of time, if this Summit does get held we are in good shape but if not we have a longer wait.

I think he will implement Erbil, the UN will release Chapter VII and the show will go on but again I'm just going off an educated guess at this point.

  15. Listen again, he said if it goes on it will be good for Iraq but he doesn't think it will be held. I disagree, I believe it will unless they can't pay for it, so they need to RV IMO.

Professor didn't seem too optimistic on the summit outcome...

Right but he did for Iraq if it gets held.

He felt like the Arab Summit wouldn't have a good outcome but Iraq putting it on would be good for Iraq...

  16. The latest daily currency auction was held in the Central Bank of Iraq on the 20-MAR-2012. The results were as follows:

Details Notes Number of banks 23

    Auction price selling dinar / US{:content:}nbsp; 1166

    Auction price buying dinar / US{:content:}nbsp; -----

Amount sold at auction price (US$) 227,338,000

Amount purchased at Auction price (US$) -----

Total offers for buying (US$) 227,338,000

Total offers for selling (US$) -----

This is interesting, this is what is showing on the CBI but yet the rate was updated today.....Indicative rates - 22.03.2012

  17. Thanks K98, several good articles are getting missed this morning. Here is why I like this one:

statistics indicate that small and medium enterprises account for about (90%) of the total firms in most economies in the world and contributes about (50%) of global GDP, as they provide (40-80%) of the total job opportunities and the potential role to play in development and contribute to in reducing unemployment, so the interest in this type of projects in some countries has reached the limit in which the formation of ministries to support small and medium enterprises

once they get to play with their big people money that they have here in the States they get to play in the big world of economics and this sector will be taking off. We want it to right after the Arab Summit as we have read in several articles lately. Also the future value of this sector is part of the determining factor of what their possible RV will be but they've got to move the framework outline forward first......

BTW, they have a lot of funds that are in the present and past few budgets too for this sector...lots of money but they've got to get it first.

Said the General Administration of the Iraq market for securities suspended from trading on the market next week.

A statement of the administration: "The trading will depend on the market for the period from Sunday the twenty-fifth of this month until Thursday the twenty-ninth of it, because of the holiday, which coincide with the Arab summit in Baghdad at the end of the month.

The government announced the official working for the disabled community, schools and universities in Baghdad, starting from the twenty-fifth of this month, until the first of next April. / End 2

    Now the Stock Market,

I know it's small in volume and only open a few days a week for a few hours a day and most likely has nothing to do with what we want but it still makes me very curious. And again I'm curious enough to think it could have everything to do with too.

    Thanks yota!!!!
