  1. Sonny,

If you think that Shabibi would allow the world to read deliberate lies about their plan to guide the Iraqi economy, totally trashing the credibility and causing potential investors to no longer see Iraq as a good investment, then there isn't much need for any discussion.

Do you even realize what would be the ramifications of the Central Bank of Iraq telegraphing to the whole world that may be considering investing there that everything they publish is a lie?

You seem to have an aversion to historical fact and proven examples, and a love for fairy dust.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm not buying what you are selling.

I am waiting for you to help me understand, as you said you could.

I am as tired of the BS as anyone here, but I don't think it is coming from the same place that you do.

    Dalite,

I just mentioned several examples of inconsistency from these articles that you put so much faith into. You say Shabs wouldn't do that, but don't you have even a little bit of suspicion when this "education campaign" is only confusing people? So the CBI is doing an "education campaign" and they are not even educated enough themselves to make sure that the articles they use are all undoubtedly understood? Someone earlier mentioned typos and translation again, but thats just simply not the case when you look at all the contradicting articles or statements that have been published. To assume Shabs wouldn't use "propaganda" to help the CBI is just that, an assumption. You don't know shabbs personally and now you are just putting faith into a man that works in the most corrupt system out there. That was actually an odd statement from you about shabbs wouldn't lie about anything. You don't seem like the type to put blind trust into another mans word that you don't know. Especially when he holds the key to the big money. All I am saying is this is the WORST put together education campaign by a supposedly professional institution. Makes me wonder just a little.

  2. I still believe the education campaign claims are incorrect. I think the articles have an ulterior motive. Of course they articles will state they're not going to increase the value.. Otherwise people would hoard IQD, and use USD. That is my .02, dollarization is an issue enough, speculation upon rumors over there probably do not help the cause. Does it say anything about their true intentions? No, and it also doesn't confirm or deny a R/D (LOP). But, I am sure when U.S. soldiers are buying up their currency, they are likely thinking we are doing so for good reaons...

I agree with ya about there being an ulterior motive with these "campaigns". You would think they had the common sense to be detailed oriented enough not to contradict themselves in so many articles if this was "education".

    -One article says, "increase purchasing power", one says " doesnt affect purchasing power";

    -one says, " implemented very soon", one says, "2-3 years";

    - one article says," drop three zeros", one says, "add three zeros"

    - one says, "raise zeros"' one says" lift zeros", one says "delete zeros", one says,"remove zeros".........hell......some articles use several terms at the same time.

-One says money supply "trillions to billions", one says "trillions to trillions"

The list goes on. Now what kind of education campaign is this? Lopsters like to blame it on typos. Not saying it's not typos because I truly don't know, but that's definately suspicious.

  3. Sorry, but what is in bold is an inaccurate statement.

M2 is derived by adding more components of the value of the monetary system to the M1. So just because it is not part of M1 does not mean that it is not part of M2.

Be careful and sure on your info with 20 mil . Hes a bad ass. Haha . He's like rainman on steroids.

The only question I have is.....What did you get on your SAT's?

I'm with ya TJ. Dudes bringin it!!!!

  4. Dinarck,

This is where we need your head buddy! We all know it has a chance of the rd, but that's not what were here for. And I'm not saying succumb to every article and try to spin it ( which I know you wouldn't). We need your brain teaming up with 20 mil, sonny, dalite, scooter, etc to figure out how this can work. Y'all are sharp fellas. We need ya!! Great respectful discussion TEAM.

  5. LOL. We all know the problem is there, too much currency in circulation. So I am focusing on learning about different solutions and possibilities.

Man, I have been saying that's the attitude to have all along. Let's look at the problem and see if it can be done. These lopsters need to have your attitude when it comes to this investment. It's too bad because most of them seem like pretty sharp people but all they focus on is how it cannot be done. We all already know this is a risky investment with a chance of a RD, but that doesn't mean there isnt a chance of a RV. I wish I was smart enough to help ya, but I'm riding your coat tails.haha..keep up the good work!

  6. The truth is, even the people that believe the LOP will happen have a little hope deep down that it will rv or we wouldn't see each other here so much. Why would anyone spend so much time here to triple our investment? I know everyone says 300% is great when it comes to return, but it's really not that substantial when most of us probably own 1-10k USD in dinar. And 300% sounds all fine and dandy but it's not that great for the people that have been waiting 7+years. Point is, why do people leaning toward the LOP only point out the negatives when deep down they have a little hope of an RV? I personally think it can go either way and what's in the future we do not know. Countries have rv'd and lopped. So how do we really know the "truth" until it happens? Because the articles says turkey that makes it truth? We all know they can't say "RV tomorrow" so really as of now, there is no solid "truth"

  7. The CBI is describing their plans to ReDenominate the Iraqi Dinar.

They have been announcing their intentions to RD for some time now.

You are correct that a 25,000 Dinar note would be exchanged for a 25 Dinar note.

They both would have the same value; approximately $21.50 at the current exchange rate.

Everything is divided by 3 by 1000 in a 3 zero RD.

This has been anticipated by the currency exchange market for some time now, and the CBI will probably continue these articles weekly; if not daily as part of the education plan for Iraqi citizens and expats.

It hasn't happened yet. It is possible they will be further delayed by Maliki.

It is what it is, and nobody knows what it is until the CBI shows what it is.

You asked for an answer, which I have tried to provide.

Telling the truth around here is referred to as being negative.

Dalite, much respect for your posts, but the problem nobody knows the truth. That goes for the "negative" or "positive" comments. So we can't assume the negative solutions to this fiasco are the absolute truth as well as the positive.

  8. Both will have the same purchasing power....Let's say that 100,000 dinar has the purchasing power of 100 USD, pre RV....Post RV, 100,000 dinar (minus the three zeros) will now co-exist with new 100 dinar notes till all three zero notes are pulled out of circulation (and that is done through daily transactions) and the new 100 dinar notes will have the same purchasing power as the old 100,000 notes (100,000 is just being used as an example). The pre RV 100,000 and post RV 100 will have the same purchasing power....Value (buying power) concentrated from trillions into billions... :)

And they don't think this is going to confuse the Iraqi people with this mixture of bills? There's going to be accounting errors galore. Imaging getting change in partial $100k notes and partial $100 notes. I think this coexisting thing is gonna be tough to pull off

  9. Don't ever believe everything you read!!! This is a smoke screen...............

    GO RV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. How do we pick and choose which articles to believe and base our info? And why is it that only these cbi bank articles are the ones that keep us DV'ians ( who we know are the best hound dogs on earth) so misled? It also seems a little odd they make sure they tell us "like Turkey" every single time. Makes ya think. Just gotta sit back and wait it out.

  10. Accidentally gave you a minus Nani. That was supposed to be a plus. This roller coaster ride isn't worth triple the investment. Listening to these gurus gets to be a whip. Sad thing is that it would probably have a much better chance RV'ing if they weren't making ridiculous claims. Im just trying to look at it as I've learned a ton about the middle east, economics, and governments thanks to you info hounds! Thanks!!

  11. I believe that this is an encapsulated.....................remark....................that has nothing to do with..............................any intention to imply

the kind of.......................RV we are looking for. I see this as.....................an examination of the bank's holdings.......................which could be in dollars................

and would require....................a transition to GOI funds..............................before either of these two banking units will go forward.

Would one of the Mods clarify this a bit.

Is this Christopher Walken or captain Kirk typing?....haha

  12. I have plenty of peace of mind just think the only people to make money in this thing are the dealers and there top pumpers

sorry if this rubbed people the wrong.

First and foremost mlm's are not fraud they just sell you something and over exaggerate their performance sound familiar?

The problem with the taking emotions out of it is there is talk of being a millionaire overnight if that doesn't get your emotions going your dead, i am not referring to experienced investors i am thinking the average joe coming in thinking about getting rich

overnight and that is what the discussion is about and where the money is being made.

If chase, boa, etc, etc are or were selling it, it's not a mlm IMO.

  13. Nonsense. How do you RVpart of a currency and not the rest. Makes no sense to me.

Agree. How would you tell the Iraqi people, " sorry to all of you that have "000" notes. They are now worthless. You should have used smaller denoms even though you would need a wheelbarrow to buy an apple (exaggeration)". That would be the collapse of Iraq with major revolts making peoples money worthless.
