i'm not here to give anyone the warm and fuzzies, but some facts just aren't assessable to everyone. I didn't see the paris one so I didn't count that one. btw I don't neg people for their opinions.

Show me what familiar bank names moved in to Iraq that aren't associated with an Arabic-speaking country.

Here's the list! There's no Chase, Barclays, NOTHING. Don't believe the hype!
if they're located in Iraq then they're going to have to be associated with an Arabic speaking country. that's a loaded question but if you look at the list then there are at least 3 that are from other countries that do not have Arabic as their official language. also there is no way to tell the last time it was updated.

i'm not even close to a guru and have no desire to be. I do however know someone personally that is directly involved with the final phase. documents allowing the trade of the iqd are supposed to be signed on this date.

I personally think it's still in Iraq's hands and the country doesn't have its **** together enough to jump into the global game.
I think if Iraq released everything and it's all in someone else's hands and that entity is clowning around, Iraq would publicly point a big finger so everyone gets mad at said entity. Iraq can declare a rate at will, but they have to be ready for it. Some say it's been declared but not activated. I say it can be declared and activated within 48 hours.
Everyone else has BEEN ready for ages, and not being ready is no longer an excuse -- the "gurus" already posted every excuse known to man these past few years regarding processes outside of Iraq ----- POTUS holding it up, UST, IMF, PTB, banks, swift codes, computer glitches, WE'VE HEARD IT ALL. These things can be fixed in 2 days, and we would've exchanged already if anything OUTSIDE Iraq was at fault.
I'm not dissing your post, but I have a different take on the country's readiness.
However if I exchange this week I'll come back on here and humble up.
that's exactly what they want people to think. it's cool because I know how you feel. I felt like that for years until I met someone I knew that's directly involved with the process. it's almost over but you wont have to worry about anything happening this week though.

it does not change the currency code.

it's not as farfetched as you might think. there is some truth behind this but some add to the story to make it seem unbelievable. facts aren't always printed or exposed for everyone to see. Iraq has a few sets of books. ever thought that one set would be at a different rate?

I don't know many rich people that go out blowing themselves up along with random bystanders. take a look at Kuwait. they don't have many if not any suicide bombers. its time to try something different because the current isn't working. stability comes after action.

I didnt say everyone elses statements are inaccurate, but mine are verifiable if you take the time to read through the CBIs laws on its currency. There is no need for GOI approval on a revaluation. That is controlled by the CBI alone.Issuing of a NEW currency is however required to be approved by the GOI. Big difference. And Im pretty sure that I didnt say what was actually going to happen so please be more careful in reading next time. If I did know what was actually going to happen, there would be no need to be on any forums to keep up with whats going on in Iraq. Thats pretty obvious isnt it? You should have asked yourself that question before responding and maybe you would see where I am coming from. I do like however to give people the accurate information when nonsense like this is posted across forums.
Feel free to point out my inaccuracies if you see them. I enjoy learning new things, and If im never wrong then Im not learning. BTW its not what I am portraying, its what the CBI is portraying. Not my fault that these gurus like to spin anything negative into something we want. And thats what makes them inaccurate when it comes to talking about the currency itself.
is it wrong to point out someone's inaccurate statement was your question. your answer in most cases is no but its all in how it's done. something that I've realized about this investment is that it's all about trying to get the masses to watch the left hand while the right is doing something completely different behind the scenes. no worries though. lucky for us it's almost over. best of luck to you.
