As a Forex trader of 7 years experience i can reassure you that the Forex brokers will NOT trade the IQD. Reason the IQD won't be listed or traded by Forex brokers is that the IQD will not be a free floating currency for a long time. The IQD will be pegged to either the USD or a basket of currencies and the rate will be managed by the Central Bank of Iraq. Currencies that ARE listed and traded by brokers MUST be free floating.

$3.22 was NOT the pre-Saddam rate as is often quoted, it is the value Saddam put on the dinar, and it was only a short time after he did that that he was attacked and went into hiding. The "pre saddam value of the Dinar was conciderably lower than $3.22.

The numbers in it were TOTALLY stupid... they had the Australian dollar at US$1.30 which it has never been close too in my lifetime. I remember it was about $1.15 in 1972, and that over 40 years ago. The highest the Aussie has been since then is $1.02 a week ago. If you believe the $3.22 on the IQD, do you believe the $1.30 on the AUD too? Or do you only believe what feels good for you?

Fact #1... Maliki has not formed a stable government yet... still about 15 ministers positions vacant. Fact #2... Shabibi will NOT (repeat WILL NOT) revalue the IQD until a full cabinet is appointed and functioning. Fact #3... Shabibi has been VERY quiet the last 3 weeks... not a peep outa him. Fact #4...
