  1. This is just my observation. If the majority of Iraq's economy is done in oil exports (which brings in US dollars) and the price oil drops thus affecting your cash supply. This you would think would force an increase in IQD to open your economy to other sources of income. As long as the price of oil is high, there is no need for them to increase the IQD because they are running on the US dollar.

You know what they say about a good plan? It was great right up and until the point of implementation. Then it became...

Better to have a game plan than none at all. LOL, all plans change. At least that has been my experience.

You still will have to pay tax when you exchange your dinars for dollars in order to put it into Municipal Bonds.

I doubt the State of Pennsylvania will accept dinar.  They will want you to invest dollars into their Municipal Bonds.

Yes. After 15% taxes invest balance into PMB which dividends are completely tax exempt. Like I said I could make it on 330K a year tax free no problem.

  5. I just spoke to my friend who has his own company as a wealth manager. It will fall under long term capital gains at 15%. He did suggest to me if it is significant gain that for me to put it into Pennsylvania municipal bonds ( that is the state I live in). Collect 5.5% dividends and give the IRS the middle finger the rest of my life because it's non taxable. With the amount I hold that might be a wise option. In a 1 to 1 scenario after taxes I think I could make it on $330K a year tax free and pass the principle on to my son when it comes time.

What I have always wanted to know is this......

What possible benefit do people get in writing such elaborate lies on websites like this?  I mean, really, it takes a lot of time and energy to think this crap up and then type it into print--and for WHAT REASON??!!

    Help anybody?

Very lonely people seeking attention. It's really Pathetic. The thing that is sad is there are people that believe this crap.

  7. It always amazes me when you try to help someone out and they give you a negative. The problem is that you allow this to exist in your life. If your friends are driving you insane then cut them loose. Just because you can not get the answer you like doesn't make the ones you get any less true. Like I said before NOBODY KNOWS NOTHING PERIOD! You ask for an adult conversation yet you are the one that needs to grow up. Everyone here tried to help you. Not one insulted or ridiculed you. Enjoy your chaos.

  8. I have been in this for 9 years. For myself I learned a long time ago that there is no top secret intell, no experts, no sources. Once I accepted this as fact my stress over when an RV was going to happen went away. What I have come to realize is that my only responsibility in this investment was when I purchased Dinar. That's it. Nothing more. I keep tabs on it now and then but I no longer check in on a daily basis. I value my peace of mind. Do I believe that there will be an increase in value? YES! The bottom line is Iraq is moving to their own plan and they don't give two s**** about us and what we want. Far as my friends in this, I tell them to quit listening to all these so called experts because there are none! When it happens it happens, The cardinal rule in investing is not to let yourself get emotionally attached to it. This is what helped me.

  9. 22nd is a good possibility. 22 is the most powerful of master number in numerology," The Master builder" can turn the most ambitious dreams into reality. On top of that 2018 = 2+0+1+8 = 11 "The Dreamer"  represents illumination. Two of the three Master numbers in numerology on the same date. Could be it? We will see. The one thing I know for sure is that the powers that be conduct all their business according to Numerology.

Where does he get $4.00?  ****, I'd be happy with 50 cents!

I highly doubt Iraq is going to tell us the real number of notes. Just a gut feeling.

He sounds like a lopster who as usual does not have a clue of how the numbers work. We will not hear anymore about the note count since its been over 2 years. Next thing we hear is what we been waiting for. Don't know when, don't know how much but I believe it's this year.

  11. Also when Iraq was in the 3+ range their currency was represented by one Billion notes. I believe their last report was down to 4 Billion notes over 2 years ago they should be close to where they need to be now. Last week every currency dealer I checked was out of stock. This is the most positive sign I have seen yet! This thing is coming to an end.

  12. My EX lives in Boward county and her daughter is in high school. Her friend was in the class room right next to the room where most of the killings took place. She sent me the cell video as it was happening. Horrifying does not even begin to describe it. My prayers go out to the victims and their families. The only solution is to have armed guards and metal detectors at limited entrances. Sad world we live in that this is what it has come too. The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.

Well, I've read every word of every article in this thread.

"Al-Hassan said in a press statement that he is confident in the conviction of the various companies that Iraq will provide documents and assurances that the investment will benefit the Iraqi people and the stability of Iraq and the wisdom of the Iraqi government to overcome all obstacles to global investment."

Everybody knows how corrupt they are.  Nobody wants to invest.  So what do we do?  Sell a bunch and at least recoup some of our investment?

Or wait, as Kaperoni has been saying, until Iraq decides to be (shall we say) not as corrupt, business slowly comes into Iraq, and the dinar rises "gradually"?

I'll tell you  what!  I may not have that much time.  What are we talking about here, another 10 years?

    I am totally pissed!!!!!!!!!!

Some how the word wisdom and Iraqi government should never be used in the same sentence. LOL! Honestly them not getting bailed out is the best news we could here! They our out of options. No more loans, No more hand outs, No more USA bail outs. No more investment at a tenth of a penny. They have no choice but to show value. Just like the children they are, I always expected them to be kicking and screaming until the end!

It’s a huge amount of money. We know we cannot provide it through our own budget,” Mr Al Abadi said during the World Economic Conference in Davos last month. “That’s why we are resorting to investment.”

Oh Mr Abadi I beg to differ, Show the TRUE value of the IQD and your country will have more than enough money to do all that you need! You are no different than the "Street corner begger" that at the end of the day, takes off his rags and slips into his Mercedes.
