This seems like a pretty radical option that is more of an idea than a reality at this point, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that there were those in the GOI that wanted to see the IQD be replaced with this gold standard...thoughts?

It was Secretary of Defense Mattis’ first day at the Pentagon and he has already hit the ground running. Mattis spent the day overseeing strikes against the Islamic State in both Syria and Iraq.

 Mattis, who was critical of the Obama administration’s ISIS strategy, calling it ‘full of half measures,’ set the tone immediately that he wasn’t messing around. The Secretary of Defense utilized bombers, fighters and remotely piloted aircraft to carry out the bombings.

Syria took the bulk of the strikes with 25 total, while Iraq was hit six times. Two of the strikes in Syria successfully neutralized ISIS units, as well as artillery near the city of Bab. ISIS units in the city of Raqqa also suffered losses, with 22 strikes pulverizing 12 tactical units, two underground explosive bomb factories, and an ISIS base. Mattis also oversaw strikes that hit two ISIS oil wells in Syria.

In Iraq, Mattis continued to crush ISIS forces. One of the strikes, taking place in the city of Rutbah, eliminated a tactical unit, two weapons caches, a mortar and a vehicle. Strikes in the city of Beiji also demolished a unit and a vehicle, while another strike in Kisik blew up a building and a tactical unit.

To cap it all off, Mattis oversaw two strikes against Mosul, the ISIS region capital in Iraq, which annihilated two units, a tank, a factory that manufactures car bombs, and three fighting positions.

It’s becoming clear why President Trump wasted no time making sure Mattis was sworn into his cabinet immediately

President Trump has mentioned in the past that he would like to see ISIS completely wiped out within 30 days of taking office. If Mattis’ first day on the job was any indication, the president may just get his wish.

Ha!  I can't believe I'm just now seeing this topic...It looks like it started about the same time I took up mining BTC seriously.  I learned a horribly expensive lesson in cyber security, but before I had my coins literally stolen right in front of my eyes, my miners had ROI, plus about 50% of the original investment.  In my time on this ride (and yes all of the hyped out drug references are true...I fell like I know what they all do even though I've never tried any of those drugs!) I have learned that if you have the money and connections, the real money is in the mining equipment and will be for years to come.  The reality is, miners will be busy for the next 40 years discovering bitcoins...IF they remain a relevant currency that long.  IF it does, and I happen to think it will, the masses will be lost in the mining wars to a few major players, just like any REALLY healthy business model.  These companies will grow due to the shear size and power consumptions required of current and presumably future mining farms. (Think acres of  warehouse size climate controlled data centers full of millions of nano sized microprocessors...freaking super computing baby!)  My thought is that bitcoin mining will eventually be a lost art hidden behind the scenes growing exponentially until the last coin is mined...(BTW, there is a business opportunity in that for someone out there...relevant even today..Figure out a profitable way to re-task retired/older mining equipment...let me know when you have it, look me up!  I would gladly help you start it up!  Honestly, I think BTC is a good move at most levels, just don't trade if you don't have at least a little experience...the fees alone will eat your lunch! (BTW, this is all my opinion and what I am doing only...it's WAY more risk than IQD so there is your warning if you decide to move in on it )  There is still a lot of growth needed...it is a very much a raw niche...but then again, in my eyes that is the best way to find em!  Sorry for my rant all...if you have made it to this point, you deserve an award...blessings!  Now I'm off to find someone to buy my Bitcoin in exchange for IQD!  ...  YUP!
