  3. I can remember a few years ago when Dinar Vets was the premiere dinar website on the web. You could come on here any time of the day or night and there would be in excess of 1000 members engaging in intelligent well balanced discussion. The talk would be real and all opinions would be discussed and respected.

However, in the last year or so, I have noticed a swift decline in the quality of dinar related info one is able to obtain on this website. As well as the ability of the current members to engage in mature debate about any subject. This website is quickly evolving into a haven for anti government gun extremists who will not tolerate any political or personal opinion other than their own.

Right now it is a Sunday morning on the east coast and there are 63 members online. This is a perfect example of the membership loss this site has experienced. People can say it is because a lack of interest in the dinar. I don't buy that since we are closer than we have ever been. The truth is more likely that it is due to the fact that Dinar Vets has been hijacked by a group of people that have such extremist anti U.S. government views that anyone with a differing viewpoint has been chased off.

Adam Montana had put together a great site for the discussion of the Iraqi dinar investment. There are very obvious reasons why Doc31, Drox, Mrsonnyr and a slew of other true investors no longer come on this site.

I have a few friends in the NY area who hold elected positions within the state and local government. I have been advised by them to limit or end my time on this website due to the fact that several of it's members, along with the site itself have been placed on a government watch list.

I am very saddened by the fact that DV has morphed into it's current state. I truly miss the way the site used to be.

So tell me...what is your favorite flavor of boots to lick? :)

And when you kiss the feet of your masters do you kiss the left one first or the right?

    Wrong.

This has nothing to do with Maliki but Saddam's people who Allawi has crossed.

Raghad (Saddam Hussein's daughter) Allawi: will get rid of you because you did not stand in the arena (the splendor and dignity)

BAGHDAD / older / A source close to the leader of the coalition in Iraq and there was a dispute between the buried Saddam Hussein's daughter Raghad and Iyad Allawi.

The source said in a press statement that Raghad Saddam Hussein sent a strongly worded threat to Iyad Allawi because of disobeying orders, which stipulates going to sit-ins Anbar but he refused those orders was not implemented.

The source added that Raghad met with senior financiers of the Iraqi List and asked them to take a stand against Iyad Allawi Allawi promised that he will get rid of it.

This was announced existing Iraqi President Iyad Allawi, earlier that "at risk and target targeted real", saying: "Ten days ago we received news documented from more than one source that there is an intention to strike home and headquarters with rockets and know those that, as you know was to try to kill in Britain and the sad thing now is that I live in is similar to what I experienced in the past, I was in London and now I'm in Baghdad.

  6. Wrong....Allawi is not wanted by Barzini.

Source: The Kurds refuse Allawi or Nijaifi succeed Talabani as President

    16/02/2013 21:42:00

Erbil (NINA) – Informed source close to the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), headed by Massoud Barazani, said that the Kurds, under any circumstances, would not surrender the post of President.

In a statement to NINA on Saturday, Feb. 16, the source said that Speaker of Parliament went to Qatar to influence it to pressure Iran to agree that he assumes the post of President, replacing Jalal Talabani, and the Kurds are definitely reject it.

He added that Iraq's top posts and political agreements concluded between all sides stipulate that the posts of President is the Kurds share, Prime Minister the Shiites share and Speaker of Parliament is Sunnis' share.

The source went of saying that the post of President is for the Kurds and they will never relinquish it to anyone whether Ayad Allawi or Usama al-Nijaifi. / End.

Here's a quick update. This is getting crazy and exciting at the same time. I am sure you all heard, Mahmoud, the top judge in Iraq has been removed (YIPEE!!).

This was Malikis top go to judge when Maliki wanted someone arrested or discredited (Hashimi, Shabibi and so on). That power has been taken away from him. I AM SO HAPPY!!!

    [

According to the news this judge was part of Saddam's former party and that means he would be an enemy of Maliki and not someone who supports or helps him.

Who is this Ocrush person? Someone who does not know what is going on in Iraq?

    Here are the facts:

Iraq's top judge removed over ties to Saddam party

    February 14, 2013 | Modified: February 14, 2013 at 8:16 am

BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraq's panel tasked with purging government ranks of former members of Saddam Hussein's party has removed the country's top judge from his post because of alleged ties to the now-dissolved Baath party.

The deputy chief of the country's Justice and Accountability Committee, Bakhtiar Omar al-Qadhi, said on Thursday that the decision to remove Chief Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud from the Supreme Judicial Council was based on "strong evidence" supplied by parliament.

Al-Qadhi wouldn't discuss the details, saying that al-Mahmoud has 60 days to appeal.

After the U.S.-led invasion that toppled Saddam in 2003, al-Mahmoud was appointed supervisor for the Justice Ministry and in 2005 he took over the Supreme Judicial Council that oversees courts nationwide.

Phone calls to the 80-year-old judge's office and to his spokesman were not immediately answered.

"Just like every guilty alliance of the PM, leave avoid prosecution" :lol:/>

Are you people aware that this person was removed because he was a former Bathist with ties to Saddam Hussain?

Also are you aware it was Saddam Hussain who was trying to kill Maliki?

How in the heck do you guys twist everything into something to do with Maliki?

    :blink:/>

You guys need to read more news and listen to fewer "gurus" :lol:/>

    http://www.burathanews.com/news_article_184383.html

Turkey is not hating on Hashemi. Maliki is worried that Hashemi will take Talabani's place. That is why he had him arrested in the first place, and it's coming back to bite him in the you know what! laugh.gif

So Turkish President Abdullah Gul condemns terrorism but YOU support a wanted terrorist?

Let me guess...your on the "no fly" list I bet. <_<

  10. The document was translated last night on a radio program.

All it is is a list of the banks that are going to be selling USD to the public in Iraq and the addresses of those banks and nothing more. But the translator said it is not hand written but was typed on an old Arabic typewritten and then scanned.

The translator is a woman who has Arabic as her first language and grew up in the Middle East and is now a school teacher in the US.

Her name is Abby and she does the Arabic translations for a news blogger here in the US.

So just a list of bank names and addresses...nothing more.

    ME TOO!!!!

I had the worse day I have had in a very long time. I work with idiots dressed up in three piece suits. There is not a rational thought that rattles around in any of their brains. I pray every morning on the way to work and every afternoon on my way home, that I don't have to go back the next day. I absolutely cannot wait until I have the pleasure of telling each and every one of them what side of my _ss they can kiss. I might even let them kiss my whole entire _ss. Well, maybe not my whole _ss, my husband might get mad. PLEASE just make it so.

    LOL!

    Great post!

TRANSLATION BY ABBY .. Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq; Dr Abdel Bassit Turki Saeed speaking January 12th 2013 at the Union of Arab banks conference in Baghdad ...

Also, Note: Lakehouse, sometimes I feel bad after I translate something because someone else has already put their false spin on it. I went back and read the email you sent me and I can't help but wonder why someone would put those points out there. He barely mentions the currency, much less a changing of the currency. The speech is only positive in that it outlines the steps the cbi has taken towards progress. I guess it's a little general and vague, but he definitely doesn't spell out the points mentioned. I guess if someone tries to find a hidden meaning out there they can, but I think someone is trying to mislead people. I'm sorry to all, but the translation I sent you is verbatim what he said. I paused the video after every sentence and wrote it down, then went over it another two times to make sure I didn't miss anything. As much as I wish it was, it's not an RV based speech. I'm still hopeful this will change, especially based on Phoenix's latest intel reports. Sorry again. Lots of love, Abby

Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq; Dr Abdel Bassit Turki Saeed speaking January 12th 2013 at the Union of Arab banks conference in Baghdad. The governor explained current changes in banking law in Iraq and the monetary prevailing situation.

    (check back for translation)

Hi Lakehouse .. From Abby ...

This is basically word for word what he said. I didn't hear number 4 directly, but it was implied.

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate:

The brother, First Deputy of the Union of Arab Banks, Dr. Qusay Al-suhail, guests of the country of Iraq, attendees, bankers. Good morning. It pleases me that the CBI participates with the colleagues of the Union of Arab Banks through this forum of Baghdad's economic and banking sector. Baghdad, which is used to being the Arab embodiment of all which is good and unifies, and which is expected to increase in the coming days, insuring a side of cooperation and development at the level of the Arab economic policies and advanced banking industries, bringing back the area's placement in the management of its resources, at least at the regional level.

It is not a secret that there is a weakness in the economic diversity in Iraq, and its dependence on a main supply which is oil, and which reflects the economic specifications. Despite this economic infrastructure which we have inherited, at this time it presents a unique opportunity to create economic change and speed up development. This is in comparison to developing economies, especially the Iraqi economy, enrichment in human resources, materialism, and other economic areas. We identified significant sources in Iraq which could have accomplished this earlier, and changed the social and economic reality on many fronts, had it been used in the right form. Hence, we look to preserve these resources and prevent their loss. This is not only due to our legal and managerial responsibilities, as well as the trust placed in us, but also due to the fact that this is an opportunity for the growth, prosperity and development for our future generations.

Since 2003, the CBI has taken a number of steps and measures, restlessly balancing between the traditional approach towards conservative monetary policy and between the possible economic consequences of this one sided policy. Thus, it is the return of the traditional policy to prevent the distortion of this policy, and to promote economic stability.

The CBI has an independent regulatory authority responsible for the overseeing of the banking sector. It continuously strives to promote the legal environment, creating more productivity in the banking sector. There is a development of the stable banking organizations, and the overseeing and development of the services of the bank, including the increase of electronic services in its various forms, globally available, and a plan to increase the banking work force to increase one bank for every 40,000 individuals in Iraq.

My banking colleagues: We recognize that the opportunities and roles in the sector are limited. And at this time the returns and profits are declining. However, it is unacceptable that our revenue sources and our actual investments, continue to compete with the currency. We have adopted an exclusive law of the reserves at 15%. 10% is kept by the CBI, and 5% is kept at the bank itself, allowing for larger investment opportunities for the bank.

The economic management in Iraq is based on a documented constitution geared towards the market economy. In a country where the main resource for a foreign currency is the overall economic activity, here the responsibility to maintain this currency falls on the central bank while the true sources of income insure this.

From here, the role of the central bank continues. Even in the past three months, it strives to protect this currency for economic activities through the banking sector, to preserve the validity of the procession towards the market economy. This is done keeping within the legal realm of transactions. There has also been an activation of regulatory tools, as well as coordination with the authorities placed to combat money laundering. There is also cooperation with the border control, including the entrance from the province of Kurdistan. This approach complies with increased economic freedom, as well as the insurance of the safety of our private banks. There is also a commitment to support the work of these banks in expanding their boundaries from national to Arab to global. Therefore, we are very serious in continuously striving to build a safe economic and banking future, and to achieve the reality of absolute discretion in spending money in the proper way, maintaining security.

We work from this platform, which resolves sensitive issues in the activities of the banking and economic sector, in order to succeed in providing practical recommendations to develop performance to serve our society and nation. I would like to thank all of our research colleagues, who have researched, communicated and presented. In conclusion, I thank our colleagues at the Union of Arab Banks, the Global Bank and the Iraqi Banks, for their efforts, and we hope for increased communication, because nothing scratches your skin like your nail. (This is just a saying which implies that they are one through their common goals, etc.)

It is a priority to start building together without waiting for tomorrow. We must build this starting now. Those who do the weight of an atom will see wealth. (Meaning even those who do a little will see blessings)

And peace be upon you, as well as God's mercy and blessings.
