Actually the IMF is set to make some sort of announcement on reserve currencies around the 20th of Oct.  According to some of the blogs I have been reading they are going to include the Chinese Yuan as a reserve currency as some countries are using it now.  Don't know how they feel about China de-valuing it recently.  None of them have mentioned the IQD as far as I have been able to find.

In Florida, we have background checks.  I think the NRA has come out in support of them as long as the info is not kept like some type of gun registry which could help in gun confiscations.  Prayers for those families but this guy should have been on someone's radar.  Virginia has some strict gun laws as does France.  How did that work out?  Canada, Australia and the U.K. has all seen an increase in violent crime since gun confiscation.  If someone breaks into my house while I am there or tries to carjack me, they are not going to like the results.  Ever since the courts have ruled out keeping the mentally ill (dangerous ones) in mental wards, the problems with them have increased.  Also, isn't it interesting that some of the most dangerous cities in the country, including California, have the most restrictive laws.

Maybe we should ban cars because of the deaths they cause. Maybe we should ban red meat because of the possibility of cancer. Maybe we should ban cigeretts because of the cancer they cause. Maybe we should ban swimming pools because people drown in them. Maybe we should ban swimming in the ocean because of shark attacks. Maybe we should ban alchohal. I have owned guns since I was 18 (I'm 67) and I have never shot anyone. Maybe we should question the father who gave that kid a gun or question his friend who never notified the police of his intentions. If people want to kill someone there is always a way. I have sorrow in my heart for those affected by this but getting rid of guns is not the solution. In the NRA magazine that comes out monthly, there are stories after stories where people were saved by owning a gun and knowing how to use it. And yes, I am a Life member of the NRA anf I taught both my kids how to use a gun as well as my wife. I will teach my grandsons when they are old enough.
