I think this article puts to sleep ANY argument that there is a new rate in the 2023 budget..! However, it's possible that a new rate MIGHT be mentioned in either of the succeeding budgets (2024, 2025). JMHO..!  RON

Please correct if I misfire…Adam made mention many moons ago, that the Central Bank held the only key to an RV/RI.  Thus, no legislative body or elective executive had the authority to execute.

Straight outta their handbook. Just the kind of thing we've come to expect and boy do they deliver.

Bureaucratic Can Kicking 101. After 20 years of this, well does anyone in the world take these fools seriously? All bout the $$$$$. Many global companies stand to make a fortune & they'll play any game necessary for that $$$$$.

    I Second That!

I am a psychiatric nurse. I am not implying you experience mental illness. What I do find is you are a glass half empty kind of person rather than a glass half full kind of person. Like I have already said. Sudani has done more for the iraqi people in the short time he has been in office than any other PM. Things are looking very positive  at the minute and we can only hope it finally gets done. The agreement made yesterday between Kurdistan and BAGHDAD IS HUGE.  That is real progress. Look at what the good thing are in your life and be thankful.

I agree…good stuff in the near future.

Thank you all for the positives in the comments to this news  as it’s great to see the World Bank and the Iraqi Economy in the same headline. I am more than ready to

reap the benefits of the long wait but I realise also that Goose won’t lay the Golden Egg till it’s ready.

“We could have killed a thousand of them, but our goal was not to kill a handful of unfortunate American soldiers. We are looking forward to killing Trump and Pompeo."

Hajizadeh's statements came about the missile attack on January 8, 2020, on the Ain al-Assad base in the Iraqi province of Anbar, where the American forces are stationed, while at the same time reports and documents were published that showed that the United States, the Arab Gulf states, and some European countries were aware of the attack. with this attack.

According to these documents, before carrying out these attacks, Iran informed the US authorities of the missile attack of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and for this reason, the US forces had the opportunity to go to the shelters so that these attacks did not result in casualties.

But 3 years after this attack, the commander of the IRGC Air Force claimed on a TV show, “Killing these (American soldiers) was not our goal. God willing, we will be able to kill Trump, Pompeo, McKenzie and the military leaders who issued this order [the assassination of Qassem Soleimani] ] But in the end, they took military action and we had to respond militarily.”

Hajizadeh continued, "That night we noticed the forces that had been evacuated from Ain al-Asad base and descended into the surrounding deserts. They were dispersed and protected by planes. We knew their location, and we were able to strike and kill them. Of course, our goal was not not to kill at all. In the end, There were some people [in Ain al-Assad], but our goal was to harm the military structure and the hegemony of the Americans, and of course we succeeded."

Hajizadeh's claim that they did not kill "a handful of unfortunate American soldiers" on purpose, while media close to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards reported immediately after this attack that "80 American soldiers" were killed.

On the other hand, Washington announced that there were no deaths or injuries in the missile attacks of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards on US military bases in Iraq.

After this attack, Iranian regime officials declared several times that Tehran does not intend to go to war with America and that only American forces should leave the region, especially Iraq.

However, in his latest reaction to this attack, Hajizadeh claimed: "We thought that by threatening them to target 52 points in Iran, they would do something, if they had an iota of jealousy. We were really ready for the next steps."

He explained this "preparation," saying, "The first shot they could have fired was 400 missiles. If the strikes continue, the scope of work can be much wider. We planned to hit [the Americans] bases in Jordan, Kuwait and the UAE with missiles. But it ended here."

What Hajizadeh refers to as the "end" of the military attack was, in fact, the deliberate firing of missiles by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards at the Ukrainian plane, which had 176 passengers, most of them Iranians, on board.

After that, many experts and the families of the victims of the Ukrainian plane put forward the hypothesis that the Iranian regime used this plane as a "human shield".

Mohsen Asadi Lari and Zahra Majd, who lost their two sons on this flight, announced in a media interview two years after the accident that they had found evidence showing that the shooting of the plane was "deliberate." They said, "They wanted to hit the plane and blame America. They have done that before in similar situations."

Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Air Force of the Revolutionary Guards, spoke about other issues in this TV program, referring to the operation of the latest Iranian cruise missile called "Bawah", and said that this missile, which has a range of 1,650 kilometers, entered the Iranian basket of missiles.

He also described the commitment to the maximum range of Iranian missiles, which is 2,000 kilometers, as "respect for the Europeans" and said: "God willing, they will maintain their respect."

This idiot needs to talk to Qaddafi! Oh…I forgot he is dead.

Nermin Maarouf, a member of parliament for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) parliamentary bloc, confirmed that the legislation of the oil and gas law will see the light soon.
MP Nermine Maarouf said that the legislation of the oil and gas law is part of the government curriculum and is supposed within six months by the federal government to send the copy to parliament based on Article One Hundred and Twelve of the Constitution.
The MP for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan parliamentary bloc explained that according to this agreement, the legislation of the law is close and will see the light after the approval of the federal budget for the year two thousand and twenty-three.

…see the light soon…they’re still in the dark ages.

So let me get this straight,,,

the US Treasury has told you to stop buying or selling USD in country!

your have instructed all departments and business etc to trade only in dinar which means no more USD

the only place you can get USD for travelling is airport or one of the approved banks…

you have stated your the only country link to one currency and that the USD

you have told us that the world bank is not stopping you from trading in USD and other currencies

and you have told us that you are waiting on the US Treasury to give you USD solutions.

this sounds like to me your about to change your rate and waiting on the Us Treasury to tell you what the rate should be and to release your DFI fund!

    2nd That!

Isnt that what they just did?  It looks like they telegraphed a rate change

Agreed…one thing  I have learned in both my civilian and military endeavors is that these  Bedouins’ MO is to be seen parading themselves on top of the camel  or horse with the largest set of family jewels.  More telegraphing forthcoming.
