Fable of the porcupine

It was the coldest winter ever. - Many animals died because of the cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions even though they gave off heat to each other. After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen.

So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together. This way they learned to live with the little wounds that were caused by the close relationship with their companion, but the most important part of it, was the heat that came from the others. This way they were able to survive.

Moral of the story: The best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but the best is when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person's good qualities

I do love all the Pr**ks in my life. And we get up close and have wounds to prove it. Thank you for sharing this, we all have those that are hard to love in our lives and that is where unconditional love and agape love really shine for God - only thru His grace can we give His love. I know it is all gushy to some, but for me it is personal and that porcupine is my precious husband...

I Live in Ft. Worth and have seen the picture. If she or he needs a home I will be glad to pay. They require milliworms and veggies. Also like mazes. Once you start to love a hedgehog they get spoild by humans. Please be careful with loving the babies

There was a baby hedge hog showed on the rumors section. Could you please let the individual know- that what he is holding is very valuable and delicate in human hands. I have know no doubts the individual that was holding her/he is good people-( the animal was quite comfortable). However I think spoiling a wild animal is a full time job and if he/she has been spoiled. I can be a home or help make one.
