Gold fell 31.00

At 14:00 NY time the FED released the minutes from their last meeting and before anyone could read the minutes, the anti-gold cartel went to work, dumping paper gold and paper silver onto the markets. A cynic might say that someone within the cartel was informed of the message before it was announced publicly.

Gold fell 31.00 and silver shed 0.31c. The fact that silver outperformed gold during the drop (see chart), leads to the expectation that this is likely to be a one-day event. Notice that the index managed to stay above the 50D, while the supporting indicators are turning positive.

The GDI which provided a warning yesterday by closing at 85%, dropped back to 28% on Tuesday.
