  1. Back to real heros. We need them, and we need them badly. These young men remind us that we live in a real world and that real things happen in that world. At least two of them had been sleeping, were not expecting anything weird to happen, just to sleep on a train until they got to Paris. But then the world intervened, and they found themselves in an international incident, and being given the highest award given by the French govenrment . . . and the world admiring them. Three young friends, three men who found themselves in extraordinary circumstances, and they answered exactly right. They simply said, "Let's go," and all three of them got up and went. And we are so proud of them that we are busting our buttons here in the States. But to be honest, it isn't just for them that we feel pride. It is our relief that we can feel pride in our country once again, that aafter this lon seige under Obama, we can honestly still feel pride in our military men, and even that we can feel pride in an American citizen who finds himself in an extraordinary moment with no training, and so he followed his friends, and did what they did, and he also gave to our great nation and reminded the French, nay, all of Europe, and America as well, that Americans are still as great as they wever were, that we are still proud of our nation, that that Obama has simpy been unable to take that away from us. We will get through this dark time, and we will emerge again as Americans, and we will know who and what we are. This image, this sense of self, this awareness of our nation, it is all bigger than one person, especially if that one person is obama. He just can't take that away from us. We are who we are, and that is invincible, real, true, genuine and powerful. So America, stand up and take a bow. Through your brave sons, you have done it again, and the world is aware of the best of you one more time. Thank you, our brave sons, thank you. And God Bless us, each and all. Amen
