Why in the world should America or any country attempt to intervene when journalist, or aid workers get captured by extremist? Journalist put themselves in danger for fame, ratings, & money! There are travel advisories warning against going to these locations put out by the Department of State! Many times these people disregard the warnings and/or travel to a close destination and move over land into these places because they can not fly in. Why should our governemnt spend millions of dollars to ransom them back. Is that not the news agencies responsibility? Or the aid agencies responsibility? Why should our soldiers put their lives on the line to save someone who willingly put themselves into an extremely dangerous situations for all the wrong reasons?
