What does everyone not understand about this? Deleting the zeroes is not a good thing. They want to remove attributed value to large face note dinars, so that a 25,000iqd note is equivalent to $25 without zeroes. They wouldn't print larger denomination bills if they plan on just removing them from circulation at some random point when security, political, and economic are stable. That would make no sense.

My guess would be you missed the article a while back in which the IMF explicitly said this was NOT the case and that they would hold the value of said note.Hope that helps

Iraqi Central Bank announced on Saturday, that the reserves of gold of 80 tons, which is equivalent to 10% of the reserve has, stressing that all backups of internationally acceptable levels.

 

The governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, the relationship, in his remarks, said that "the Central Bank reserves include foreign currencies and bonds and 80 tonnes of gold, which represents 10% of the Iraqi Central Bank reserves", refusing to disclose the total reserve size of the central bank, but he stressed that "variable reserves rises and falls daily because it depends on oil imports."

Well,thanks for getting back to me on that.I have been in this for a good bit of time and I feel for each and every one who has held out this long,it has been a long and rough ride.My only thing was that Iraq isn't going to do this when we think they will, or won't, and I have seen and heard them all, from before tax seasons over, to end of or before Ramadan.In the meantime,I plan on getting more each month until they drop the hammer on this, so the longer it goes for me the better the outcome will be,since I am having to wait ,  the more one has in hand, the lower the rate can be and still be a win win the way I see it.
