  1. I do not understand the neg if it was from you -- as I was not yelling at you - neither was Med - Whoever made that darn caps rule a law deserves to have their authority taken away -- It is sooo unfair (do not understand the neg period)

UNEEK, I did not neg you. Sorry if you think that I did. I know that there are people that like MED and those that don't. If you look re-read my post I even thank you for bring it over. I will admit that when people type in all caps I have less of a tendency to take them seriously. But I wouldn't neg you for that.

  2. I have one customer that I was talking to last week, Obamacare is going to cost his company $21 mil a year. The company doesnt make that kind of money but has many employees and works off of low profits. The fines will be $6 mil for not provifding the benifits for his employees. Which one will you pick if you owned the company?

I will bet you that his is not the only company looking at these numbers and I know which way they will go.

  3. Well Thank You Jon Jon its good to see people are willing

to fight for Obama's America. Those people shall win.

The sad thing about what you just said is that it's not Obama's America it's ours yours and mine and not one man's.

If you remember you history Rome fill because ceaser gave the people what they wanted bread and games he spent all the money of Rome. The people spent all of there time watching the games and not working.

  5. just saying that concentrate the negativity towards the few who stir the pot and not those who just want to live out their lives peacefully.

good post there is some truth to it

I think most good humor has a bit of truth behind it whether we like to admit it or not.

And you are correct it's is the vocal few that create most of the problems where as the majority just want to live and practice their believe quietly and be a member of a tolerant country.

  6. I was just thinking how unfair it would be for those people to be treated badly by folks who think they are here to take over our culture.

I honestly don't think cleverly written jokes like this convinced these folks to fear the Muslims living in other countries, they just don't help. IMHO.

I hope that most people don't think they are here to take us over. But there is a vocal minority that would love to make this a Muslim country. And if you think that it can't happen please look at France and the problems that they are having.

There is a saying and I might not have it completely correct but it goes something like this, if you let the camels nose in the tent than it won't belong before the whole camel is in the tent.

Maggie please do not take this as an attack on you or your opinion. I believe that you are a good person and are very articulate without attacking someone and admire you for that.

I know that you feel at times overwhelmed but if we didn't have people on this site that had opposing views and not able to articulate their views it would be very boring. This is the way that a civilized and educated people act.

  7. Smee , no offence taken at all on a personal level... can't say these type of jokes even surprise me anymore after being on here for a while.

Unfortunately Maggie there is a lot of truth, is it really a joke or reality?

I was saddened by the ending when I thought of how many Muslims have had to leave their own countries, not because they were not happy there, maybe because they really had to.

Perhaps for political reasons, families being threatend... maybe for getting caught in a difficult position and having to choose to help someone perceived as the "enemy" like say the US.

There is truth in what you say. Alas the people that you are talking about come here and go on with their lives peacefully and quietly and try to become apart of the melting pot that we are.

  8. Sorry Smee, for your thread not going in the direction you intended. But it does hold truth. I have to agree, not all Muslim have the hatred attitude. :)src="http://dinarvets.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif">

Oh heck my smiley faces are not working.

PattyAngel you speak the truth. There are Muslims that I have met that want to live in peace.

For example in Dubai they have Christens and Muslims living and working to gather. When I was there during Easter they had in the local English addition of the Arab times stories about the Easter Holiday being observed.

I was also going thru during Eid and they had lights up thru out the city like it was Christmas.

They as a country and people have learned how to work and coexist with other religions.

I can see two reasons for this.

    1) Only 20% of the people living there are citizens so 80% come in and do the labor and service jobs. If they didn't learn to coexist they wouldn't be able to survive.

    2) They are the playground of the middle east and they get many international tourist. And they have again learned that it is to there benefit financially to be respectful of other cultures.

Please don't miss understand they are still a Muslim country and they do ask that you respect there culture and they are tolerant of others.

Sorry Smee if your thread got hijacked.

And I can't get my smiley face to work ether. :)src="http://dinarvets.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif">

  9. There is no definitive answer as to how OUR COUNTRY will progress financially, based on our current economic state and the financial demands that DC requires of us. What I do know is that without American workers this country is screwed. I will preach my message, forever. The export of work and the overspending in DC has caused this countries demise. The war in Iraq didn't help either. The fat cats in DC need to understand that you cant spend what you don't have. I wish that I could sit on a civilian committee in DC. Our politicians need to listen to us, we deserve better.

I agree with you 100% Skitealwedrop. But it is hard to get this country on it feet and out of debt when you have about 49% of the people collecting more from the goverment than they pay or have paid in tax's (if they even pay tax's) and I don't want to hear that they cant afford to pay.

If the government went to a flat tax say 10% no deductions(I like my mortgage deduction to) and every one paid no mater what you earned I believe that we would be in better shape. That would mean you make $1,000,000 you pay $100,000 if you make $10,000 you pay $1,000 that is as fair as you can be and everyone has skin in the game.

We will never see this as it is fair to everyone and the people that don't pay tax's wont want to start(The 49% that don't pay now.)

But we do need to stop giving people tax refunds that have never paid tax's. I have a friend that is an account it and he tells me stories of his clients that after all the tax credits that they get they get more back that they paid in. Please tell me how is that fair? And I am not talking people that are well off. These are people the same people that are getting entitlements from the government.

So the get money from the government pay little in tax's than get more back from there tax refund than they paid in. Again how is this fair?

If you have any friends that are CPA's ask them don't just believe me.

  10. PS, can someone please stop the day'um snow in here biggrin.gif/> biggrin.gif/>

The best way to get rid of the snow is to go down to the lower left and change it to DV.

the only problem with that is you get chased by a little green box.

  11. Well hell, maybe we should have invaded Saudi Arabia since majority of the 911 terrorists were from there huh?

If that is what you think than be my guest.

But I don't understand how you got that I wanted to invade a country when I am talking about tolerance.

Unless you where being sarcastic because you have none.

  12. It's attitudes like this that keep the conflict going.

With all do respect this country was founded on Jewdao(spelling) Christan beliefs. And not Muslim, Weather you like it or not we are a Christan based country, That is tolorent of other beliefs because the first to immigrates where fleeing religious persecution.

But we still are a Christan based country.

If other people that come here don't understand that then they can stay where they are. Do you really believe that Saudi Arabia is as tolerant of Christians as as we are of Muslims?

I can tell you they are not. Come on over to the sand box where I am at this time and I will be glad to show you Muslim tolerances to Christians
